Ok. The owner, Jason Wong, contacted me to rectify the situation. Was very apologetic that they dropped the ball. Made an appointment to fix issue. They need to paint the trim on all windows that were recaulked since white caulk was unevenly spread onto the blue trim. They showed up on time with an apology gift from Chun Wah Kam. . They are cleaning and repainting the window trim as I'm writing this. Happy since we just had the house repainted 4 years ago. I originally chose this company for the lifetime guarantee and quality of these windows. We do love the windows for the past 9 years. Great at blocking out sound and maintaining air conditioning temperatures. It was news to me that the company changed ownership. I'm glad the current owner is honoring the warranty and knew the previous owners personally. read more

Ok....i think this may have been the best service I've ever had. Keone and Donovan installed 21 windows and an entire backyard sliding glass door. IN THREE DAYS!!!! Just the two of them. They respected my property, cleaned up after everyday, did amazing work and explained everything. They ensured everything was perfect. Hell, I kept the same frames in and they installed a flat molding around the edges so everything, including the frames looks brand new. We have had an issue with a sliding screen door installed by Diamond Head Windows. Technicians have come out on 3 or 4 occasions over several years and leave saying they need to order parts and then never return. This time I have called the office 4 times. Three times I was told they would call me back and they didn't. The last time I was put through to the owner, but got his voicemail. He has not called back. The issue is that the screen door is too small for the sliding glass door that was installed. When it was new it was less of an issue. Now it is barely working. So I am posting this review to maybe get some action. read more

How the company can help with repairs and if anything goes wrong with the windows. Had kitchen windows and sliding patio replace earlier. And now had my Jealousy bathroom put in. great experience from start to finish. wanted to replace our windows a few years ago, but it didn't work out -- I finally got back to them and they still had the original quote, they worked with it - Brendan came over and we went over the number of windows, the cost, and all that. Spent enough time to allow us to figure out any special designs - he was really great. They sent in a final estimate I made a few changes, they got right back to me and we put down our deposit. They put in the order, managed to secure a rebate for us and add'l savings. One of their other installs cancelled and they called us right away so we got our install done a few weeks early! A 4-man crew took only two days to remove and install 20 windows! They were efficient, friendly, listened to any concerns answered all our questions, made us feel truly like we were their only concern for the two days. No messes, no drama, just worked right through the day, did a spectacular, detailed and careful job -- one window was damaged in transit, and they re-ordered it immediately. They will finish the install when it arrives. They were highly recommended by one of our neighbors, and now I see why! I also highly recommend this company for new windows. Aloha, I would just like to express my family's utmost frustration with Diamond Head Windows and Doors. The screen doors were incorrectly installed and sloppily done. It was as if the workers they hired had no idea how to install screen doors. We reached out to the general manager and the same workers came out again with their production manager to inspect the job weeks later. The production manager admitted that they had done a terrible job the first time and would come back to fix their errors - which essentially meant doing the entire job all over again (removing all the doors and taking another full day's work). Yes, the job was completed in the end after months and multiple trips but I guess we are to pay a high price for their incompetence? This was a great (although stressful and time consuming) lesson learned and we will not be doing anymore jobs with them. We will not be recommending them to anyone and advise future customers to beware of this company's high price but low quality and standard of work. Mahalo! read more

We were looking to replace 3-gates at our home in Kailua and after receiving a flyer in the mail advertising for Daimond Head Windows & Doors we decided to give them a try. We were very impressed with the excellent service from start to finish. Brendan was great to work with from taking all of the measurement's and addressing all of our questions. Jon and Jovan did an excellent job with the installation, they went above and beyond. One of the gates/fence had existing in ground stainless steel pipes installed that I wanted to re-use. Jon took the initiative to cut the pipes level to the ground and drill out the concrete to set the new fence and gate posts with minimal impact, looks like it was always there. Can't say enough about Daimond Head Windows and Doors, great products and professional installation. As promised here is the rest of my review. It was a long 1 year journey that happily ended today. Met w/Todd 1 yr ago to navigate a myriad of confusing window options. He was more astute in advising the best window selections for each & every window need including finding a kitchen window garden box w/side casements for ventilating a stuffy kitchen (vs. selecting just cheaper or easier to maintain windows). He also met our financial needs so inquire if something like this may still be available a 1 yr no-interest financing package w/10% down. It was only because of that offer we were able to replace all 17 windows & doors, quite a hefty investment! Also these orders seem to take at least 6 mo. even if they may tell you 4 and then scheduling the installation is another time delay hurdle (yet still faster than those other guys). Bottom line every single window & sliding door turned out to exceed all our expectations -- except for the double security doors those are from a local vendor. That required just too many adjustments we're keeping our fingers crossed -- John Rice really helped w/reframing that door to make it work so thanks again John!! Also the bath window was ordered as an obscure awning but a slider was installed instead? That added another 4 months as "rush" and finally completed TODAY YaY! It was worth the wait & added cost. Although the slider fit we would not accept it even discounted so paid a hefty price -- but it is nice & the correct window application for that bath's need of max 100% ventilation & 100% privacy vs. only 50% w/slider. Was a few years ago, I called to get an estimate for replacing all the windows in my house but I had some specific concerns because of pets and didn't want the usual standard vinyl windows they hype . Maybe it was just a poor joke on his part but the salesman said something that was totally inappropriate and an immediate deal killer: "Sounds like you're trying to make your problem, my problem". I kind of figure if you want to get paid, your job is to make the customers problem go away, not act like they're an inconvenience. Felt like he wanted the paycheck without the effort and wanted me to be more compliant and obedient. Would not entertain the idea of giving them a 2nd chance. The reason I wrote this review now is because they keep running these commercials on TV saying how awesome they are and how epic their product and customer service is. Shout out to Diamond Head Windows. I had the first level of my home done by Windows Hawaii. I do not recommend them at all. A three day job took a week. Workmanship was not great. Had to have them come out and recaulk my windows because the job was horrible. Diamond Head windows showed up on time, didn't damage any of my walls, etc. The crew was very professional and had the job done in 2 1/2 days. I wish I had them to the first phase of my windows also. Left the existing frame. Asked why the window was extremely smaller than normal. Because it is jump in windows. Changing windows meant changing the window but according to them no they kept my old frame. No sense. Asked why the window opened at most three inches. Because there is a plastic piece needed to secure window which limits airflow. Installers cool people. Sales and admin terrible customer service, be sure to check contract, we always followed up, never returned calls. It was extremely stressful, time consuming and money wasted. Got 4 windows installed (3 large and 1 medium) to replace the 20+ yr old windows from our house's original construction. Ewa sun had baked the old windows into failure and they looked pretty bad, so I worked with Ryan to get estimates and talk features. He was super accommodating and helpful. On installation day, Paamai and Grant took out the old broken stuff and installed the new ones in just one morning and took care of everything. The same day my wife was commenting how much cooler it already was in those rooms. They look great and I appreciate the energy savings I'll get and little things like the security features. Only drawback is it takes a few months for the windows to arrive since they are made custom. But that actually gave me time to get my HOA approval for the upgrade. Already eyeing some other windows looking to need replacing, but I would recommend checking them out if you need some quality stuff that look really nice. Listen up Kamaainas... this company is not the greatest as far as management and all their workers in the office. I would not recommend to anyone at all. Use another window company because I know for sure we have many in Oahu. Ryan Paul, Operations Manager, the guy I met up who presented me with paperwork in February and I truly understand that it was going take a while for the windows to come. If I had not called them during the end of the summer my window would have not been done. Lack of communications from their office management. Finally after a call I made, it was set up for a two days (Thursday and Friday) to do our 7 windows, 6 regular and a small one. Well, it was not done and once again it's lack of communication and I had to make a call to Ryan, since it's an inconvenience to my family and our dogs. I was then told by one of the worker it's because of lack of workers, they had only 2 people in our house to do the job and it's not the first time. If you are telling us it will take 2 days and additional days are necessary you need to communicate with us, give me a call. A call from Kelli with some explanations are not the greatest, you have to make a call or explain well why is it that we needed more days than you presented. Kelli Gouevia, top manager only could give me $250.00 less for our inconvenience, wow so great even though the inconvenience to our family was so BAD. The windows and materials are great but the work on the surroundings of each windows are not the greatest. Fast job and lack of final finishing around the edges are not well done. Another reasoning I choose the company was that they were going to finance it with no interest, well we got paperwork with Wells Fargo and it was not the greatest presentation, it was so confusing and if you older Kamaainas and don't read or understand it you will be paying a rate of 38.99%. I put my final decision to management to put a stop to it because what I signed up for is not the same. Once again a run around with different part of the company that does not communicate well and properly. It sucks!!! To pay over $12,000.00 it's not worth it. So once again. Ryan took the time to come out to our home and explain thoroughly about the product we were interested in, took measurements, and gave us our estimate fairly quickly. He was easy to work with, easy to contact, and willing to answer all questions posed. When it came to the installation, the crew that came to our home was really great. They were all very professional, polite, and respectful. Even though it was raining for a good part of the time they were here, they were pleasant and friendly. They worked through it like it was a normal day. You wouldn't even know that it bothered them. They were almost even apologetic when they said they were going to take a short lunch break. Talk about polite. They did a great job with installation and clean-up. During the walk-through at the end, they made sure all windows were working and installed as they should be. They were great on initial installation. This is about following up on unfinished items. Two years later still not done. I cannot use my front security door for normal exiting because they never installed the correct hardware. Finish pieces on my other security door they never returned to install. The caulking on all the windows is now soft and pulling away from the house. Have found out it is the incorrect kind, not meant for exterior use. Multiple calls at install and now again over the past 6 months with no response. Had a window break which we also called to have them replace. Same response after multiple calls - Nothing! Very disappointed by their lack of customer support after they installed whole house custom windows back in April in my Mililani town house. I'm there only 1/2 the year so scheduling was important to me. I was ok with the six-month wait for the custom windows to arrive and installation thereafter was on schedule, quick, and clean. Kudos for that. However, one window pane had a defect which the installers duly noted and said would be replaced asap. 2 months passed and Diamondhead Windows finally called and said the replacement pane had arrived so we happily scheduled a to come to the house when I'm there. Well, the service guy showed up and stated he was aware of the order but straight faced said he didn't have the replacement glass pane with him (!?). All he could do was lube the crank gears while there. Why the office scheduled the visit or the reoabothered even coming baffled me. It's now been 8 months and I have not received any word from them on the state of the replacement part even after emailing Brendan, Marissa, and Kelii in advance of my staying there. Specifically Management KelII, spoke to him, was not listening nor his fina words were basically calling me a none truthful person. I told him two other customers did not have their outside trimming destroyed. Kelii, said, no way windows sliding door was installed without removing door siding.. I not only spoke with the other two owners I even personally looked at there's. Use another window company because I know for sure we have many in Oahu. ordered tinted windows, Told all would be inspected for damage and to insure customer received as order. Windows and door arrived. No glass was tinted.. Told they would replace all glass. Must wait additional 12-14 weeks. No reason why windows were even delivered. Tony, the guy I met who presented me with paperwork in Dec-2023 and I truly understand that it was going take a up to 6 months for the windows to come. with all the check and balances how is it wrong glass was delivered. Lack of communications from Tony And Lack of properly inspecting to insure customer receives what was ordered. Definitely a 5 star for Marisa, (believe finance Guru) She was kind and professional. Scott and Grant (installers) these two guys were awesome. All three would be a great asset for any company. If not retired I would pay them to work with me.. Professional. Kind, cleaned up after, all around great people.. Note:, Installers Were not provided proper PPE for the job. Not provided proper scaffolding to safely do the job. I should have called OSHA, Pretty sure job would have been halted. Which means i screwed myself. A call from Kelli with some explanations are not the greatest, IMHO, definitely lacking in communication skills... I asked for 10% Discount or $1000.00 discount.. received $500.00 discount. Wait, being they destroyed the door framing. They did replace and install framing. Does not match framing as when my condo was built. Oh, they do not do painting... Forget all the inconvenience and now need to hire painter and buy the paint. $500.00 does not come close... wait it gets better, Tony, specifically told me, no destruction required. When the company person came out to measure. This person (without any knowledge and/or asking me) changed the type of framing.. I was told I received a much better quality... Does this mean the other two owners did not? Wait, it's my money $18000.00 and my Condo. But someone changed type frame without asking and giving me the option... The windows and materials are great but the work on the surroundings of Sliding door. Is poor to say nicely. #1reason I chose the company, great windows and awesome installation for the other two owners here. When I noticed not what I ordered. Installers had already removed 4 existing windows and installed two new windows.. So I decided to have Marisa remove cost for the tinted type of glass.
