Have we all not had the matter of questionable auto mechanic practices? Return trips, over charges, excessively long wait times? Coming from a back yard mechanic who isn't an easy target, I stll remain slightly uneasy when dealing with the auto repair people. Until now that is. Dan is The Man as the shop is transitioning from his fathers tenure to, as this reviewer interprets it. But I'm sure O'Brad will not be sitting at home, his energetic ways seem hard to quell. Throughout the process, Dejan was very responsive, transparent with me about any potential issues, and really proactive about getting the truck tuned up prior to the sale to me. He even helped me get the Jeep tinted at a good price while I got the title/reg figured out in Mass. A bonus was that he and others at O&M were just very personable, normal guys that seemed to know or work with every local that walked by the shop. Since owning a car in the city I have had a decent amount of experiences with car maintenance and repair through word-of-mouth recommendations. Surprisingly, most have been good, but O & M is the best. Just be sure to call before bringing your car in, since parking can be tricky and with their tiny shop there isn't a waiting area. Shops like this are hard to come by! They're honest and a little bit more affordable than some of the other places I have tried in the area. They've always taken the time to explain what they did, show me the parts they're replacing, etc etc. I think one reason that they can operate a little bit cheaper than some other shops is because they don't have a reception area or dedicated reception staff. This means that it can be a little hectic when you call or stop by. You might have to wait a minute until someone has time to talk to you, or flag someone down so that they notice you. I could see this being a slight deterrent for some people, but I really don't mind. In fact, I have a lot of respect for anyone who manages to take care of business like the guys who work here. I've been going here for about 2 years and several of my friends bring their cars here too. It's legit!! read more

Going to the mechanic in mah car... doot der ooo.. Driving down the road, hoping my old vehicle holds it together, doot der ooo. Drop my car off, and upon picking it up find.. Honesty + Fair Pricing + Friendly; am I DREAMING?!?! No I am NOT. Visited for a tune up, and indeed there were a few small issues which needed adjusting. Done in a fair amount of time and at a price that didn't make me roll my eyes. You know that exasperated eye-roll when theres a severe price tag attached to the safety of something you NEED to be safe? That did not happen. "Hip hip hooray!" (channel in either Fred Astaire or Naughty by Nature; they both like that quote as much as I do - though I AM missing an o...). Sigh of relief, and thus I am the owner of a nice safe car cared for by a nice team of mechanics over at O&M. And it's a win! read more

This is a full service auto mechanic, and a pretty damned good one too. found him through a relative who highly reccomended this place. I have gone there with one car or another maybe ten times over the past three years. Several times he fixed something quickly for free or sent me to a place where he thought they would do a better or cheaper job. The few times times hat I really needed him to fix one of my cars he did it super fast (usually same day) and pretty inexpensive. an example: my wife brought her car in to Midas for a problem (even though I told her not to). They quoted her $525 plus they charged $100 diagnostic fee. Brought the same problem to O M, $325, and diagnosed for free while we were standing there. Good communicaiton, good prices, great turn around time. Everything you want form a mechanic. Highly reccomended. read more

I first came here after my trusted mechanic moved out and now it's my go-to place for my car. They've always been very honest and fair with their service. Dan seems to know my type of car to the last bolt, that's how much experience and dedication these guys have. From past experiences with new shops, I was expecting them to give me a list of broken things I didn't even know I needed when I first came here. Now I'm used to hearing "Forget it it's too expensive" or "You're spending too much money on this car". My transmission had started going bad on my 01 a6 (easily a 2k+ fix) and Obrad's advice was "It's not worth it for this car. Drive it until it falls off, maybe it will last a year." No sarcasm or anything. What a man. Whenever you need a job done that they can't do, they always have a contact that won't rip you off. If you need a mechanic you can trust and that's gonna be honest with you, look no further. Toyota dealer told me I needed a whole new rack and pinion and it would cost $2400. O&M were able to locate a replacement tie rod, which was actually the only problem, not the entire rack and pinion. Dejan Stanjevic is a pleasant, honest and honorable man.  My wife and I purchased a 2006 Toyota Highlander from Dejan at his shop, O&M Automotive Repair on Decatur Street. Mr. Stanjevic proved himself to be an honest person and a man of his word during our interactions.  He went out of his way to provide us with a turnkey car. Every request we made, from getting another detail, painting faded areas of the dashboard, fixing the heat shield were all accomplished with no hesitation.  Mr. Stanjevic went above and beyond, providing us with things that we can't honestly expect to be performed on a used vehicle.  He cut us an extra key and gave us an extra car alarm, acquired a missing molding piece, original car matts and manuals that I totally expected to get on my own. Mr. Stanjevic installed brand new Pirelli tires, performed a total maintenance tune-up, installed brand new brakes, rotors and even took care of all of the DMV requirements for us.  We didn't have to miss anytime from work to get the car on the road. My family and I are thankful to finally find a mechanic and dealer who is true to his word and honest, during a time and in a field, where it is hard to feel confident you are not being scammed. Our negotiations began with a handshake and ended with trust and respect. I feel confident that when my wife drives the car with the kids, that it is safe thanks to Mr. Stanjevic. I've lived in Oklahoma City almost three years. During that time period, I've taken my vehicles to several different mechanics. I've been cheated and charged for parts they didn't replace, told my engine was fried when it was just a loose wire, and charged for repairs that were never completed. A few months back, I found O & M Auto Repair. I knew they were different the first time I went it. They guy there found a minor problem and fixed it in five minutes. He didn't charge me a penny. Most places, they charge you if they even have to so much as glance at your car. I had some major repairs done to my car this week, and while they were working on it, they found another problem. They fixed the problem and only charged me for the parts. What! That's right! These guys are truly decent people, as well as great mechanics! This is a very friendly family owned shop. It is run by a very knowledgeable older Serbian gentleman whose son will most likely take over the business. They're very reasonable. I came in with an overheating issue, and after 2 hours, plus a new thermostat with some valve. The bill came out to $65. I was readying to shell out $150+ for the trouble.
