0 stars ! I would stay clear. They don't help your credit & the tracker in the car disables the car after 1 missed payment. God forbid something happens to you when they do this. They do not call you before disabling your car. They send texts & emails. The manager will call you a liar & the employees give false information. Where everytime you speak to someone you get a different answer. Very unprofessional! They were even worst during the pandemic! As for mechanics- they can't handle volume! Currently, I am financing a car from this dealer. Purchased on January 2019. They gave me 9 or 10% APR, my credit was under "needs improvement" on credit karma at the time of purchase. So I would say that's a decent APR considering other places wanted to charge me 20%-23%. The car is so far so good yet I am having very minor issues with it. One being, the sunroof hasn't been working. When I told them to fix it they said it doesn't cover even tho I bought it to them for sunroof issues within the 3 month period, at that time they said "we just needed to grease it" but 1 month later and when I take it back they said it isn't covered. I thought that was ridiculous considering I told them about the issue within the 3 months and they didn't even fix it that time. ALSO, Be VERY careful when you bring your car in for service. They like to write things down on a notebook and not put in inquiry orders in their system (Example: if I bring my car in, they won't do a report on the computer saying what I came in for and what they did) they will only write it down on a piece of paper, unless it's major work. My advice: record the entire conversation for future reference because they will try their best to not fix anything. We went to this dealer thinking we was going to get a good deal but we got defrauded out of our money. The sales rep David sold us a 2016 Lincoln MKZ in the process he decided not to disclose certain information. Like the dealer will repo the vehicle and when I say repo I don't mean hire a repo company. They send one of their workers from the dealer to steal the vehicle with the keyfob they keep and wont give you when you pick up your car. If your ten days late with payment in the same calendar month as the payment is due. Also if you change your insurance with out informing the dealer they will repo your vehicle. Also shutting down your vehicle which is illegal as well. These processes are illegal and we will be filing a class action lawsuit against this dealer because they have done this illegal process to more then 100 of their consumers who has purchase vehicles from this dealer. We are filling a complaint with Consumer Affair Division so they can start a investigation and will also be requesting a emergency hearing with DMV for the suspension of their dealership license. This dealership operates on intimidation. After serving in the military for four years as Infantry medic I fell on hard times due to my health and a disability. I was a car salesman for several years before I joined the military. I needed a new vehicle to get to and from work as my old car was not going to make and my life has begun to turn around. I knew that since the dealer was a buy here pay here and they offered lower rates and asked for a large down payment of 3500 Cash I would be upside down in what I owed dealer speak for paying triple the value of the vehicle so I only selected Hondas. The second year I had my car they disabled the vehicle due to what they say was an insurance lapse. I use USAA an insurance company that services veterans. I used my insurance to have my vehicle towed to multiple repair shops and they couldn't figure out the problem. I didn't think the dealer disabled my vehicle with what ever device they installed because the second day my mechanic called me and said did you make all of your car payments I said yes they said we found a device connected to your starter/battery when calling the dealer I was told my vehicle was disabled due to my insurance and that I had 24 hrs to bring the vehicle in to have the device re installed or my vehicle would be reposted for breach of contract. They didn't receive the multiple faxes I sent and the dealer ship generates all its emails from random accounts that aren't traceable due to encryption. This month I had an emergency and needed to make my payment 14 days late. I was told that if I couldn't come up with half of the payment my vehicle would be disabled after a 5 day grace period after that the clock starts for repossession. I couldn't make that I could only do 100 they allowed that. With that being said I was treated aggressively for leaving a negative review on google there is no management to contact with the exception of the women and one gentleman who answered the phone. They not only change there policies but if you call to ask a question beyond the gate keepers your out of luck the financing bank is O Gorman motors I have made 100 percent of my payments with the exception of the partial payment I have made and have less than 40 percent of the loan left to pay and still being treated awfully by this dealer do not purchase a vehicle here I can not give the rating I would Like. read more

This place is a bunch of criminals. They sold me a Toyota Avalon that needed $5000 in repairs in just 3 months. I called the owner and complained and was not sympathetic at all. He told me to pay him $4800 and he would take the car back without messing up my credit. He eventually took the car back and 6 months later he marked my credit for collections of $20,000 which is $3000 more then the loan and said to give him $4500 and he will remove the collection mark. He's a criminal and should not have the power to report on credit bureaus. Stay away from here. read more

I went to Irvington to purchase a car from 500 down now and was rejected and annoyed at their marketing practices to get people there and then not to honor their advertising; however, I left and across the street saw O'Gorman Motors. I didn't think I'd get a yes after the previous experience but low and behold I was able to get pre-approved; pick out my car, leave my down payment, get 1/3 of it deffered and in 2 weeks I had my car. Their customer service was above board on everything I needed done, i.e., insurance, photo inspections, etc. I have to say that after all the dealers who turned me away due to past credit, O'Gorman came through for me and it is a pleasure to work with them. Stopped by this place just to look at some pricing. Had a salesman approach me and learned about their program. This place is a blessing in disguise! They worked with my bad credit and didn't gauge me on interest (they only charged me 15.3%) The owner actually works there on a daily basis which really meant a lot to me. The customer service is great and the complementary popcorn was addictive. 10/10 read more

Buyers beware!!! DO YOUR HOMEWORK ON THIS PLACE FIRST! Being a new buyer I fell for the "buy here pay here" gimmick. Now I am virtually at war with Mr. Ed O'Gorman for $4000, the cost of a new transmission. Even though the car a 2005 was sold to me as a lemon and is currently out of commission, I STILL HAVE TO PAY IN EXCESS OF $20,000!!! Read the warranty very carefully... If you plan to move out of state, go on a road trip and your car breaks down, they will NOT HONOR the warranty out-of-state. This is something I had to learn the very hard way. When I confronted Mr. O'Gorman with the costly repair bill he said "never to call again"... if this is the type of reaction you want when your over paying for a car then be my guest. In 2010 I was in a rough situation with my credit and was having a hard time getting a car loan. A friend of mine referred me to O'Gorman Motors who approved me for a car loan. I picked out a 2004 Acura TL which was priced at 18K although I ended up financing 27k. I knew it was a rip off but I was out of options. In the first week I purchased the car, I needed to take a road trip. After driving it for about 50 miles from the date I got it, the serpentine belt broke. I called and was told that I couldn't bring the car until the following week. I took it to Acura to have it fixed since I needed the car and of course they would not refund me. The CD player was broken when I got it and they promised to fix it which they did. However, I took the car to have the CD player replaced and they told me they needed to remove the CD player and ship it off to get fixed. What they did not tell me is that they need to take out the entire media center in the dashboard which included the controllers for the heat/air (It was January and about 10 degrees F outside). It took them two weeks to get it back so the entire time I had to drive the car with wires hanging from the dash and no heat. When the guy installed it, he broke the plastic on the middle console. When I told Ed O'Gorman that his mechanic broke something, he defended him saying "Tommy is a professional; he's been doing this for years". Needless to say, they never fixed it. In that same winter, I started having issues with my car starting if I didn't run it for more than a day. They told me it was my battery and sold me a battery. When the same thing happened again in the same week, they told me it was my starter and I paid to have a new starter put in. Within a few weeks of getting a new starter, I had problems with shifting out of park so they told me I needed a break switch which I paid them for. My windshield wipers just stopped working while I was driving (in the rain of course) so I took it to them to get fixed. I had to return three times to get my windshield wipers fixed. Each time they went out in the middle of bad weather. In the end, they still charged me to replace the motor. At this point I stopped taking my car to them to get serviced for several years until my transmission went. I took it to them to repair and they told me that it needed to be replaced. It took them 3 weeks to fix it and the day I picked it up, I was driving home on rt 1, stopped at the light and when I went to hit the gas the car didn't go anywhere. I had it towed back to them and they kept it for another week. This time I picked up and broke down on Highway 280 on the exit ramp backing up traffic for almost an hr! I can admit that they've been flexible if my payment was late, but their office manager Candy won't hesitate tell you what they did for you by approving you for a car and working with you when you were late. The never take any accountability for the lemons they sell or for their service team's incompetence. They have extremely poor record keeping and were missing 4 payments ($2000) on my file. I had to bring in bank statements to support payments they claimed I never made only for Candy to again act as if she was doing me a favor by correcting their mistake! I did appreciate them for giving me a chance when the larger dealers would not but other than that, my experience with O'Gorman Motors has been complete hell. Currently they are reporting on my credit that my payment is 120 days past due. My car is paid off and I had to call them to stop my auto payments. If you make it this far down my complaint, please listen to me and go elsewhere! They have attractive cars but I wouldn't be shocked if they were total loss cars from Super Storm Sandy! read more
