Yum! My wife and I stopped in for lunch on our way through town. Charming restaurant with friendly staff. Food was delicious and perfect portions. This was a great find while passing through Pahrump. The restaurant itself doesn't have a lot of frills however all of the items appear to be homemade and they have great breads, desserts and pizzas. What a hidden gem in Pahrump! Who would've known they have a bakery with real baguettes and French pastries in this little town. Even in Vegas, it's hard for me to find traditional French baguettes. The employees were great, the food and specialty coffee were good, and I was able to have my dog with me in outdoor seating. The overall ambience of the outdoor area, though, is not terribly inviting. Don't think great scenery; it's just your basics. Found this great place via their billboard when passing through on the way to Death Valley on vacation. Was then recommended by an employee where we stayed so stopped in on the way home. My boyfriend and I were staying in Pahrump while exploring Death Valley. I kept seeing this bakery pop up on my Yelp page so I knew I had to put it on the list. We actually stopped by after hitting Moms Diner for breakfast. We were on our way to Red Rock Canyon and I figured we could get some treats to have while enjoying the beautiful scenery. It's located in an unassuming strip mall but it's beautiful inside. Well decorated and even an area to sit and enjoy your treats. There was a ton to choose from but I went with the chewy chocolate chip cookie and chocolate croissant. Both were exceptional. The croissant was perfectly flaky and just the right amount of chocolate inside. I'm from New Jersey where there's a bakery on every corner and this is one of the best croissants Ive had in a while. The cookie was rich and deliciously chewy. Perfected by a little sprinkle of salt on top. Yum. My only regret is not getting two! They had a ton of delicious looking desserts, macaroons, red velvet whoopie pies, lemon squares and the list went on and on. The woman behind the counter was also very friendly and service was quick. A must stop in the area for pastries. I learned that this is run by a family who immigrated here from France and the whole place definitely has a lot of authentic items. It's a cute spot with plenty of options for savory and sweet. I love the buttery sweetness of the croissants. My fave was the spinach and feta croissant actually. We were passing through the town on our way up north, and stopped in here after breakfast at Mom's Diner to grab some coffee and pastries. The pastries were pretty darn good (pain aux raisin was well made, the Madelines were a bit tough, canelle was good and the macaron was delicious), but the coffee was less than great (my latte was bitter). A little disappointed with my experience as I had higher expectations based on the reviews. Passing through we stopped by for breakfast, when entering it smelled of chlorine, our coffee tasted burnt, the waffle I had had a good taste to it but it was covered in black teflon specks, I'm assuming from the waffle maker. After the first visit we knew we had to go back to get a box for the road. To be honest, we got so much that I don't remember everything we bought. What an amazing bakery, especially in a smaller town! If you live anywhere in driving distance from them, you must make the trek. The owners/bakers/chefs are both French and they make food that you would expect to get in Paris! My favorite was Paris Brest! As a matter of fact, I had it for two days in a row with a few other goodies. The owner/baker Charlotte loves it so much that her husband/pastry chef makes her a large one each year for her bakery. She got the recipe from another French Baker of 70 years who passed the secrets on to her. I ordered and ate more than I should have, but how often do you have an opportunity to enjoy pastries of this caliber?
