Been awhile since visiting here. Upon entry to building we were greeted pleasantly by one of the staff. Ordered and enjoyed a chef salad. They serve coco-cola products. Wasn't busy but did have patrons having a good time. Have to make it a habit to not wait so long between visits. read more

a quick 5 minute drive north from Home Depot, Living Free Cafe at Mesquite & Hwy 160 is our "go to" for once-a-week errands-day brunch now that the Recycling bins are inside the PV Disposal Recycling yard. The servers are GREAT (Many friendly faces!) and there are healthful food choices, and specials. It's a quieter spot, with a book-exchange corner, a World-Visitors Map and local artwork & local authors' books (for sale). There's also a set of long tables with a divider in the back, so if there's a group, call ahead for breakfast/brunch/lunch. Early dinner, call ahead & pick it up to-go by 6:15 because they close at 6:30pm. Plus it supports a GREAT cause, helping employees get back on their feet as they learn to Live Free. read more

I went to try and find out what this place calls a chicken and waffle sandwich. I have been trying more and more places locally and in other states of their Chicken and Waffles. This is the first time I've heard it said it's a chicken waffle sandwich and also it is the first time I've heard the waffles described as caramelized sugar pearls inside the waffle. A description of this is a sandwich two waffles with two chicken tenders inside. They add a little dusting of powdered sugar plus you can get syrup on the side if you like. What makes this unique is the waffles have caramelized sugar pearls inside. You can hear and feel the crunch. Rather go into detail of what that is I suggest you look up on the Internet about caramelized sugar. This is a very interesting and very tasty chicken and waffles even though it is described as a chicken and waffle sandwich. If you are a chicken and waffle lover I recommend you try this chicken and waffle sandwich. It is very tasty and with a touch of sweetness. My husband and I stopped here for breakfast before going into Death Valley over the weekend. The service was very friendly and attentive, and we went with the spicy breakfast fries and special of the day, the Monte Cristo sandwich. Both meals were delicious and the drip coffee was honestly some of the best we've had in a while. Not only was the food and service great but the mission behind the restaurant is amazing. It helps give back to people in recovery and information on their services was readily available. The cherry on top was also all of the local artist paintings for sale, my husband and I ended up purchasing a gorgeous painting to add to our collection, which was, really well priced! I really do not want to post this review but maybe someone in the management team will see it. This is the third time I've been here in the food has been marginal at best. Today I ordered their French toast on their special and it was burned and phone called. Even the two strips of bacon I got were cold. The butter would not even remotely melt. I ate one slice of four slices and that was it. I didn't even eat the bacon. I spoke to the waitress but she still collected all of my money and yes I tipped her because it wasn't her fault the food was crappy. Unfortunately at this point I don't think I will come back and I don't think I will suggest my friends come back either. They're pretty surprised about how burned my French toast was but there was no attempt to make things right. She simply didn't care. read more

Have ate here a few times and found out about their services and 1.) The food is great here, proceeds and donations go to a wide variety of community and they have a recovery program as well. Friendly staff and check out the great art they hang for sale on the walls done by locals in the community.
