Went on a Friday afternoon. Guy selling tickets was rude and insulted me for asking questions about the show. So, I certainly didn't stick around to watch it for $10. Most of the shops and cafes were closed. The ones that were open though all basically sold the same Western themed junk or bedazzled "fashion." Most everyone we spoke to in the shops seemed rude or apathetic. Not friendly at all and the town had so little to offer. Not what I hoped for or expected. Won't be going back. read more

We went to tombstone this week just so our kids could see the gun fight. My husband and I had been once when we were first married. It was very kitschy but we obviously enjoyed it enough to come back. We were not disappointed. In fact the show had gotten much better including actors that are more age appropriate and better than before. I think they've also updated the script as it was overall a more enjoyable experience. The actors get in on the fun and recognize the kitsch in it and play along which I think they do better now too than in 2008. Perfect entertainment for our 4 and 7 year olds! read more

Fun place. Great history event. Make sure you brush up on history before you go as there is a bit of a skew in the reenactment. I highly recommend it. Been more then once and will go again. This is why we all visit Tombstone, right? For the shootout at the OK Corral. It's worth the money to watch the reenactment. They make it into a decently long 40 minute show. The actors were good, even speaking loud enough to hear them over the roaring motorcycles outside. read more

Not quite an enjoyable experience. Everything was alright except the gunfight show. We are directed into this small, claustrophobic spot. As we sat down I thought to myself "how are they going to do a gunfight in this tiny little box?" After about 15 minutes off the 11:00 schedule the show starts. First off, I'm not sure if there's changing actors or anything, but the group we had was BAD. Like unenjoyable and very cringy kind of bad. Second the guy who played Wyatt Earp looking nothing like him! I get that sometimes you can't have face perfect actors, however this was a big guy, and I wasn't sure it was Wyatt until his name was said. Now that's not really an issue, just something they need to consider when choosing actors: have them resemble the people they are playing. Now the man that played Virgil really looked like Sam Eliot, but oh my he was the worst. Whenever he had lines he "over acted" and was just uncomfortable to watch. Now the cowboys were pretty good, but I had just recently visited old tuscon studios, which had phenomenal actors. Then, the gunfight happened, and was the most unrealistic and very untrue to the tale. The worst part of it all is whenever they shot. In this at least 25 by 25 box, whenever they would shoot, it would echo, at it was very loud. I had to cover my ears it was that Loud! Don't worry though, they don't even fight for a full thirty seconds. If you are looking for a true representation of the gunfight at O.K Corral, I'd suggest watching the movie, or if you looking for a good live action gunfight, I'd suggest old tuscon studios. This is my pick for best entertainment option in town. The 10-year-old kid in me was thrilled. Fun, tight little hall-hour show with several first-rate performances and tongue-in-cheek humor Maybe it was partly the energy of the sell-out crowd but the players were having a blast interacting with the audience. A "must see" when visiting the historical town of Tombstone. It's family friendly and interactive- so it's fun. They do a nice live performance of the gun fight and also have a lot of fact about the fight itself back in the day. After the performance you can get pictures with the actors. read more

It's kind of like a broken down theme park meets museum. There is a shoot out reenactment that happens in a theatre with stadium seating in back. It does have shade. The actors work hard and take up a collection after...but you pay for it too. There is an animatronic shoot out also. It's weirdly awesome. There are small museums with photos and such. There is Blacksmith. You can sit in old carriages, lasso a statue, and pan for minerals. There is a movie that we skipped. There is NO bathroom...you must use the one at the park next door. read more

The live reenactment was lots of fun and the actors are generous with photo ops and acting lessons afterward. They were helping my 7 y.o. practice his gun shot wound technique. The photographs from Fly's photography studio were wonderful especially the ones of the Apaches including Geronimo. read more

Not sure why some people thought it was boring. We loved it, my kids especially. It was not drawn out, the gunfight itself only lasted 30 seconds, they couldn't just do that. With the audience participation, it was well worth the $10 we spent. My youngest was 6 and claimed she was in love with Doc Holiday, that's how good it was. Good old summertime roadtrip fun. I give it 4 stars because it was a sweltering 101 degrees and the actors had full costumes on including the long black coats. The gunfight reenactment was fun and they stayed afterwards so everyone who wanted a pic could take one with them. They do ask for a tip. read more

Stop here first and take it all in! Great live show! The actors were very entertaining and interacted with audience members. The seating area was covered and provided nice shade. The cap guns were exciting for my family, but may upset really young children. The corral had a really nice mannequin display of where the actual fight took place. A few things things to see on the lot if you take your time and study them. There were opportunities for the kids to pan for gems on site with bags ranging from $6-11. And a site to practice roping cattle. Fun for adults too. The historama was neat from a preservation point of view. The gentleman host said that it was the same show presented since the 60's. Vincent Price narrated it and the whole thing is paper mache. I think one of the spotlights was out though as the bottom right corner of the display activated movement but was not lit. Near the entrance of the historama is a selection of cold root beers, huckleberry soda and fresh popcorn which was refreshing and really added to our trip back in time. Overall the OK corral offered a great experience in one spot ( if you have some not so strong walkers in your group) and I would recommend it as the first stop in Tombstone. read more

Absolutely loved it! Took my mom, boyfriend and kids to see the show and everyone loved it! The actors were great. They even stayed in character around town and were very approachable and knowledgeable! They took pictures, signed autographs and answered questions. This is a must see in Tombstone! read more

If I can put a 1 star review, I would. The insincere manager would not let my family of 5 purchase tickets because we were 5 minutes late to a show that started EARLY! Wtf? How were we suppose to know that? Traveled from California and the "manager" on duty says "no" in not letting us in. Potential business was lost!! read more

Great fun! Doc Holliday is one of my distant relatives, and it was interesting and entertaining to watch the reenactment! Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. The shops and sights around town are nice as well. read more

Kind of disappointing that a majority of it is a gift shop. Other than the few glass cases laying around you have to pay $10 to see a movie and watch a reenactment of the shoot out. I really wanted to see more! But overall Tombstone is a wonderful little get away for the family. read more

The OK Corral is not the place to argue with a customer. Love Tombstone, but the OK corral money-takers need calling out. I'm a real fan of all things Tombstone. Was there 3 years ago and fell in love with the costumed characters walking around the city, the men packing actual heat, and of course the history of the place. On my last visit to the OK Corral, the lady guarding the door to the little movie theater was very rude, acting as though I had done something wrong but I could not figure out what. This visit, she was gone. I got in line to buy my ticket for the reenactment, little movie, and newspaper, and the cashier took forever. Finally, I got to him and laid my money down. He switched cash registers and gave me a ticket for a show 2 hours later. I told him I didn't mind being 3 minutes late but I could not stay. He said he couldn't sell me a ticket for the 12:00 show. I explained that I had given him my money some time before, and he told me I was wrong. I corrected him with facts but no dice. He argued (incorrectly) rather than apologizing for his sloth and inability to sell me a ticket. What a shame--I drove a long way for this.a read more

Wow... This theatrical reenactment is the one and only show in Tombstone of the famous 1881 gunfight, its fantastic.! A must see ;-)

This review targets the OK Corral Show. The town of Tombstone and everything else in it is a 5 star show. Been to Tombstone 7 or 8 times over the past 30 years, so take my advice and watch both the movie, Tombstone and the History Channel special Unsolved History, Shoot-Out at the OK Corral. (if you can't invest 4 hours, watch the History Channel special for an hour) These will give you a better understanding of the politics and characters involved, explain the actual gunfight and will bring the entire town to life. The town is so misrepresented if you simply show up you will miss the real history and story that is still alive in several buildings where events occurred. Whereas, you won't be able to get to the actual spot of the gunfight (amazing, huh?) you can stand right in the spot where Morgan Earp was playing pool when he was shot from across the street. If you educate yourself, you'll find the OK Corral show reviewed here to be inaccurate and dull. If it's your first visit or you have kids, I have to admit the show is probably a must-see. But, be prepared for the kids to be bored. You paid 10 bucks a person so a lot of dialog that's supposed to explain the story. It help you think you got your money's worth. After all, a shoot out is over in 15 seconds. WARNING, you sit on metal bleachers, so if anyone drops an item, it clangs. Like most television, this presentation is geared for the low-level mentality of the masses. You've invested time and money to get to Tombstone, invest 4 fun hours to watch the shows I mentioned (especially the History Channel special) and you'll find yourself knowing more than the knuckleheads surrounding you watching this play. As you exit the play, you can talk to your family about how the actual gunfight occurred in a alley about the size of a kitchen with most of the players within an arms reach of their comrades. Everyone around you will be amazed by your knowledge. THE GOOD NEWS: stay after the show as the players will come out and pose for a photo. A real treat for kids of all ages. The actors will try to shuffle you off quickly to get to the other visitors. Wait around and be the last person so you can talk to them and get a couple of good photos. Everything else about Tombstone is fantastic. The Vincent Price narrated diorama is worth the admission because of the cheeze factor. The actual alley where the gunfight occurred must be either privately owned or altered to a point where it's unrecognizable Otherwise, I don't understand why the facts presented are so misrepresented by the town of Tombstone. Adds to the mystery, I guess. BTW: Give yourself the day to explore the town and Boot Hill cemetery. I recommend you explore Bisbee just south of the town. It's become an swanky artist community, but it has great old buildings and the copper mine hole is a great site. You can stay here and move on to Las Cruces and up to Lincoln (New Mexico) for continued cowboy history (Billy The Kid). Lincoln is just as interesting to investigate. This whole area combined with Alamogordo, Las Cruces and even Roswell, make a terrific week long family fun vacation. The only disappointment will be this particular show read more

Couldn't decide if this place deserves 3 or 4 stars. The shoot out is an audience participation event & sure it's touristy but good fun! They stay close to what is thought to be the "truth" of the event. The actors obviously enjoy their performances. The town itself is fun as well. We ate at the Crystal Palace & highly recommend the Six Shooter BLT. Hubby said the local brew was good. Would go again. read more

Okay, the historama(?) was a little cheesy, but it was informative. Then when you're done viewing that (you don't have to, but you might as well watch the presentation), it is pretty awesome to get to stand in the very spot where such an historical event as the "gunfight at the Okay Corral took place. They put on a show and act out the gunfight and the actors interact with the audience to make if fun. There are a bunch of things to look at from the period such as wagons, tools, supplies etc. It is a small Western museum right there on the streets of Tombstone. I really enjoyed it and if you are a history buff or just someone interested in the Old West, you might enjoy it too. read more

My son and I were visiting AZ and we went to Tombstone and took in the Shootout at O.K. Coral and the variety of offerings that went with the purchase of the $10 ticket (Historama and Tombstone Epitaph)...a great deal. The performance of the shootout was very informative and well done. The performers interaction with the audience before, during and after was incredible. In addition, seeing them walking around town in-between performances made them even better as they were willing to interact and answer questions. I would highly recommend checking this out and Tombstone. read more

This was my first trip to Tombstone. We bought our tickets which included the museum with historama show, shoot out re-enactment, and newspaper. I thought $10 for all 3 was a fair price. The shootout was not only entertaining but educational as well. The actors were nice and readily posed for photos with the crowd afterwards. If you're a fan of the movie that is based on its history or western history then this is great. The place was not really what I was expecting after looking at it online, but not in a bad way. The staff is very much in character and the whole historic main road is as well. I would recommend going in the morning. We got there around 9:30, did the outdoor things, then saw the historama at 11. After the historama we headed outside for the 12 o'clock gun show. It was much hotter outside by noon and many people went straight inside to escape the heat after the show therefore missing much of the exhibit. 3 hours is plenty of time to see the gun show, view the exhibits and watch the historama. read more

Worst customer service ever dealing with the cashier. Rude and obnoxious - hope he's related to an owner to keep that job. We're not even tourists so we go through town monthly to shop and dine. Won't spend any money there. As far as the museum, not that impressive considering its the most famous spot in town. Much better to see the Bird Cage and Western History Museum. AND they're rude when taking your money! read more

I have been to Tombstone several times, and every time I try to see something different. This time I finally checked out the OK Corral, and lets just say I was not let down. The actors were very friendly, the location had a lot to see, and it was just kind of surreal to see what actually happened there. Great time! read more
