Pros: + independent one-screen theater is intimate and lovely + great popcorn with generous butter on top + comfortable seats and well taken care of facilities + family oriented with lots of kids + great location across the street from Lake Tahoe + friendly staff who are efficient and know a lot of locals! It was a bit pricey but it is Tahoe and it's great to support a local business.

I was worried they would sell out knowing they only have one screen and show one movie. When it comes to pricing, the tickets are about the same price as big chain movie theater tickets nowadays. I paid $65 for 4 tickets. Upon walking in, you'll see that this place is small!. Once you walk in the front door, you're basically seeing all there is to see! I do love that old-fashioned, family-owned feeling though. We got a large popcorn to share ($8) and got butter and cheesy seasoning before walking in to grab some seats. As expected, there were lots of teenagers and younger people watching the movie, and they were a bit rowdy. Seats are comfortable and no complaints about the viewing experience overall. Tips: We were lucky that our hotel was right next door so timing wasn't a big issue, but I would definitely recommend coming 15-20 minutes before the movie starts so you can grab some good seats.

The atmosphere is unique and elegant without being over the top. The food is amazing with so many options, I personally recommend the braised pork cheek and the bison carpachio, along with the braised short rib for the main. The bread pudding is top of the line dessert, just trust me its amazing. The service is on point and very quick and attentive as well as friendly and welcoming. I don't know her name but the female bartender is so nice and very informative, if you have any questions about food or drink options she is the go to gal. I believe they have just recently added close up magic in the dinning area and the show the gentleman, James Mako, put on was very entertaining and unique. I tried to beat the trick but he was too good and both my wife and I were enveloped in his magic. We will be coming here every chance we get and I can promise you will do the same from now on

The first floor is for shows and theaters. The restaurant is on the 3rd floor. Waiter/service are kind. But we did have to flag them down quite often to clear empty finished plates. Food: tapa food. So things don't come in great large quantities. Rather for taste and enjoyment. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the dishes. If you had to only try one, the portobello mushrooms were so good. Otherwise, everything is pretty tasty

Great day-excursion for any Ritz Carlton guests who want to have a lake experience…read more Experience: all-inclusive experience that includes full access to the lake house which includes kayaks, paddle boards, jacuzzi, inside/outside lounge spaces, and food (snacks & lunch) and non-schoolchildren drinks. Alcoholic drinks are available for purchase. Cost: $199/person, all inclusive (except alcohol) Environment: two-story house with around 50 lounge chairs and a couple conversation areas including some indoor areas with TVs. Staff: Jones, TJ, and Chef Angel were the best! Always attentive and able to help with anything. Chef made us an amazing vegetarian lunch consisting of a beyond burger and roasted veggies. Almost all the snacks were vegetarian/vegan. Verdict: Absolute must for all Ritz Carlton guests! Service was great, food was amazing, and the experience was unrivaled. Enjoy the lake without staying at the lake. Tips #1: Marriott ambassadors can get a 10% discount. Tip #2: there are limited spaces, so reserve early Tip #3: there is a free shuttle to/from the Ritz or you can drive Tip #4: leave on the 9:30 shuttle and arrive first to get a great spot for the day (lounge chair areas) Tip #5: pre-purchase a bottle of champagne so it's on ice at the lake house, ready for you to enjoy Next Time: would definitely visit again. Worth the money for an all-day experience!

We started with the lobster small dish as an appetizer and our 7 year old devoured most of it. It was so delicious. They were incredibly accommodating for my gluten-free and dairy-free needs. I was impressed with how they had special menus for each of my diet restrictions - the items to avoid were crossed off (see pic) which made it super easy to follow. My black cod was AMAZING, cooked perfectly, just the right amount of complimenting flavors and ingredients, in addition to great broccoli. Lastly, the fact they had even one gluten-free/dairy-free dessert option was mind blowing. I was so pumped. It was a smooth and super flavorful coconut passion fruit house made sorbet. I was in heaven. This isn't your typical dining establishment and their food definitely showcases that. And the views do too, holy smokes. Talk about a wag to enjoy the beauty of Lake Tahoe! Absolutely gorgeous. We're so thankful we got to spend an evening here, in our most favorite vacation spot. Way to go owners, staff and chefs!

The ambiance and setting are truly impressive and set the stage for what should have been an exceptional dining experience. The food itself was thoughtfully prepared and showed real potential, but every dish seemed to be missing something that kept it from being truly memorable. The oxtail ravioli was delicious and rich in flavor, yet oddly under-seasoned. Surprisingly, there was no salt or pepper available on the tables, which made it impossible to adjust to taste. The beet dish was creative and interesting, but far too small to be considered a full entrée. Overall, the menu felt like it was aiming for elevated fine dining, but many dishes lacked that final element that brings everything together. Unfortunately, the service also took away from the experience. While attentive service is appreciated at an upscale restaurant, this felt overbearing and forced. From the moment we sat down, there was constant pressure to order more -- including repeated pushes to purchase wine, even after we explained that we do not drink alcohol. Our waiter also kept insisting we order additional dishes and repeatedly told us what we "should" get, despite the fact that we had already reviewed the menu beforehand and knew exactly what we wanted. It came across less as genuine hospitality and more like upselling. There were also constant interruptions throughout the meal, with multiple servers repeatedly approaching the table and reaching across us during conversations. At one point, elbows were practically in our faces while dishes were being cleared or delivered. Instead of feeling relaxed and welcomed, it became distracting and intrusive. This restaurant absolutely has potential because the setting is stunning and the kitchen clearly has talent. But between the overly aggressive service and dishes that felt just shy of complete, the overall experience didn't quite live up to the very high price point.
