So I booked my first appointment with Maggie and walked in to the appointment slightly nervous. I've had a bunch of Brazilian waxes over the last couple years but for some reason still was feeling nervous! The first impression of the place was a smallish hole in the wall place but it opened up to a much larger set of rooms with many waxers. The front desk girl greeted me and I was seen quickly by Maggie. Maggie is an absolute gem! Very very nice and welcoming lady who truly seems to enjoy her work. She chatted with me and got to know more about my life which made me feel a lot better about getting waxed again. It had been awhile. I let her know and she was patient with me through the whole process. Now be forewarned! Maggie's technique was different than the other esthetician I went to before. But her technique is was makes the hair stay away for even longer! So just trust that she knows what she's doing. She treats her clients like family and works really hard at this skill. I had no idea there was a range of ways to tackle a lash lift and I've had this done plenty of times before and no one ever asked! Everything is green and gold and there is a very luxe feeling. The wax does not pull on the skin too much because it is made out of pine resin or something like that-- it's already naturally elastic. My favorite waxed is Lucy, she makes it a much more comfortable experience and always talks to me to take my mind off of everything and we always joke in service and talk about the goings on about life/work. Babita is a good and efficient waxer as well-- I just had her recently when Lucy was not on schedule for the time I needed. After everything is all said and done and waxed, they give you a little ice pack to sit and "calm down" for a second and I like that because no other waxing spa/salon I've been to has done that, and at this point, it really is the little things that make a big different. I asked if I was bleeding, and she told me no, which was not true. What upset me the most was that she never took accountability for burning me. I will never get service here again. The only reason I didn't take legal action is because something in my heart told me to just let it go. There is another young lady there who is amazing and who I originally planned to see, but she wasn't there that day. I strongly recommend not going to the manager. I recently tried a well rated Groupon wax and it was so bad I had blisters for weeks :( I came here as a first timer and had Jessica for my Brazilian and lower leg wax and it was the best waxing experience in my life. They actually care for your skin with all their treatments and the comfort wax truly minimizes the pain. For me, the 4 step skin process, the wax, and the bedside manner was definitely better than my experience at a competitor like Waxing the City and of course better than any other value or multipurpose salon. They also have really good hygiene procedures- masks, wax paper on the tables, using cotton pads to apply treatment for your skin, etc. Please come here instead of suffering at another place.

The main reason why I'm leaving this review is because I've never been to a location where I felt like the waxer was genuinely trying to hurt you. I got a Brazilian done with Jessie, the way she spread the wax felt like she was pulling the hairs slowly and painfully off my body. She applied so many strips one after the other on the same spots that it had a later effect of me having ingrown hairs all over and irritated skin. Not to mention I would think since she did so many takes over each spot that ALL of the hairs would be gone. To my disbelief hair is still there. Not to mention I am seeing growth just two weeks after my appointment. In my opinion it was a waste of my money since my previous waxer usually would do such a good job I wouldn't have to see her for 6 weeks at a time. Very disappointed and I will not be coming back. Only reason why I'm giving two stars is because the front desk was super sweet.
