John worked on my job over 26 hours and it still is neither completed nor at the caliber one would expect for $2,000! The Job: I requested weatherstripping and paint on two exterior doors. I selected John because he seemed friendly and kind in his bid. In person, he was indeed friendly and kind, even eager to please. Unfortunately John doesn't possess the skill set to do this job well. He lacks any sense of time management and is obviously not a painter. Plus, he has terrible choice in assistants. The Assistant: A creepy man in a cowboy hat, constantly attempting to hug me full front and also side arm. He landed a few kisses on my head and face. He told me over and over that he loved me and he tried to get me to write down his phone number to call him personally. "Don't tell the boss he doesn't like it when I do this." No kidding! I felt UNSAFE in my own home. I consider this behavior harassment and I spoke to John about it. The assistant wasn't present at the subsequent visits. Thank you, John. Communication: John was over 2 1-2 hours late for two of our three meetings. Read that again. 2.5 hours late twice, texting me at the time he was supposed to show up. For our third meeting I had to coax him into coming at our agreed upon time. He contacted me to say he'd be late and I convinced him that he needed to show up at our agreed time. Furthermore, John told me the work would take an hour, two at the most. At the first visit, the job took 8 hours for two men to do. The work was very unsatisfactory, so John came back a second time. He said it would take at the most 2 hours. It was an 8 1/2 hour day and the work was not satisfactory when he left my house. On the third and final day John said it should take an hour, two at the most. We know what that means ... ELEVEN hours later my Business Manager sent John home. Conclusion: If John couldn't get a simple paint job right in 26 hours, he never will. The most disturbing part of all was that he couldn't see or identify the errors. We kept asking him, "what do you think needs to be corrected," and he couldn't tell us more than the areas I'd already pointed out. I'll share some photos. Can you see what went wrong? If so, you're several steps ahead of John and his creepy assistant.

He quoted me an amount and at the end of this small project it kept changing . He promised receipts and that he would be done in one day . Never got receipts or the contract and the quote kept going up . First off he didn't show the first day of the actual job . He called off . He promised he had 5 guys under him to complete this in the time he quoted . Then the day he actually came he was late 1 hr . He didn't bring anyone else with him but one othh other guy ..He spent the whole day on the job just supervising his one employee while the other guy did all the work . At the end of the day he tells me he would have to come back to finish after promising it would be done . Later that day I call him to tell him I'm not happy with the work they did and I want my deposit back . He lies and never gives money back . Was told to Call his boss who I later find out its his wife and she tells me tough luck that job is complete and there not coming back .. He left the house dirty coke cans and slurpees trash everywhere . Plus he thought he was funny lying about hauling all the old baseboards away . He through them on the side of my house . I just found them laying there ... In 7 hrs no work was actually fully completed baseboards missing in all rooms not painted ! Walls with holes from pulling the original baseboards off . So do not hire !! I just filed a law suit in small claims so that this will not happen again to anyone else . He will be getting a summons and hopefully learn that he can't do this to trusting people . Hope he will not be able to work again knowing he does this to his clients . Good news I found a different handyman one who was trustworthy and honest and completed the work same day and with better quality ! Don't let people like danny think it's ok that they can do this and get away with it . Not acceptable

I cannot believe how quickly Danny responded to my telephone request seeking outside light…read moreinstallation onto each side of my garage. He initially noticed after taking the old lighting fixtures off that the job couldn't be completed due to a lack of a metal protective box that was missing. Danny told me that he couldn't just simply replace it because as it was, it was not in compliance with code. I thought I needed to reschedule Danny and his crew since I didn't have anything to place as a buffer between my lighting fixture and the house. Danny and his partners decided to do a quick run to Walmart to get the items that I didn't even know I needed. Once they returned, they quickly and professionally got the job done to my absolute satisfaction!!! Yes they had to cut out a small rectangular opening through the exterior but it was to fit the metal box! They caulked it and it is beautiful and I'm glad that they were there for me. Upon leaving, Danny reminded me that his work is guaranteed for a year and for that I'm very well pleased. I have a funny feeling that I may use them again or at the very least recommend these young men on my Nextdoor Neighbor app. Incidentally they accept Zelle (((smile)))
