Small shop but generous walk in cooler. Tons of local options and microbrews. They have many sours available as single cans or packs. The liquor section is just fine, plenty of wine in the cooler. I like this place...... a lot wine basket by the door 3 for $10! Generally good prices I come her often, my friend lives right down the road. I am always greeted pleasantly, and the staff is great about helping you find a certain item that may be hard to locate. I also don't get snubbed asking for a pack of ciggs like I do tend to get at OTHER packies in town. If you can stand the hard to maneuver parking lot, and the URI kids getting their booze you will love it too! Great selection of beers, nips, kegs & booze! read more

This place is an awesome package store. If you need to make a stop before going to the beach or a party, this is the place to go before heading down to Narragansett. The staff is so nice and you are greeted as you walk through the doors. They are very helpful if you have questions and ask if you need help carrying your things out. We had my nephews rehearsal dinner nearby and bought all the wine and beer at O'Neils. We had a bit left over and they were very accommodating about taking it back and giving us a full refund. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I also bought some red wine there for other evening activities and found the prices very competitive with our California prices. O'Neill's took my REAL IDENTIFICATION and told me that it was a fake.... I now do not have an ID. Terrible service. I do not recommend.

O'Neil's never disappoints. The prices are great and the staff is always friendly. Every time I go in there one or more of the workers asks if I need help finding anything. They also have a large selection of nips which is awesome cause nips are dope. There is also a medium sized black dog that is the cutest dog I have ever seen that is at the store and I love it. read more

Every time I'm in Narragansett to visit my good friends, I stop here to pickup the party supplies. Love this place because it is always stocked, very well I might add. They seem to use every inch of that place to stock whatever you may need. Went here over the weekend and was yet again a happy customer. Only thing that can sometimes get annoying is the long lines. But I think that just means they are doing something right if they get a ton of customers. I realize now why I never have dared ask where anything is. 1. The setup is poor. 2. Wine selection is not great and organized poorly. Wine prices are more than other local stores. 3. I have lived in the area for years and bought beer and wine here on occasion. I asked (politely) if they had more of a certain type of beer in the back as the one case in the fridge was expired. It's "bbd" or "best before date" was 4.5 months prior. The cashier, an older woman, insisted that this stood for "bottled brew date." I'm not sure what this made up phrase could mean. I did not buy the expired beer. I then went to another store in the area and purchased what I was looking for. I guess they sent it back from the future because it's expiration is in June. I would love to have access to that time travel technology. All in all O'Neil's has a few nice employees but some are very rude. I've heard around town that they have a big problem with their son and he just up and left. Some workers are nice but they are always eating food at the counter, bad prices, and so rude. The worst liquor store in Narragansett ! Do not give them your hard earned money! The staff are so rude and always filling their faces with food, maybe that should be done elsewhere. My family and I come to RI (my home state) a few times each year and we try to spend at least a week at the beach. We go to O'Neil's Package Store a couple times each trip. The staff have never been particularly friendly. Today (6/29/13) I stopped to pick-up some beer. The cashier (a twenty-something girl) was not at all friendly, threw the receipt in the bag (and it wasn't even my bag, it was someone else's bag) and didn't utter hello or thank you. The guy behind me tried to ask a couple questions and got terse unfriendly answers. Not sure where I'll go instead of O'Neil's but I won't be back. If you like unfriendly service, O'Neil's is that place to go. read more

A bunch of jerks run this place. I went in close to closing time and the 2 minutes I was in there I was rushed out. They are yelling to each other about how there's one minute left before closing. My boyfriend and I quickly grabbed what we wanted and got in line. There was a lady at the register who did not say hello instead she was instructing one of her employees to block the door from people getting in. She said no more people in! She said make sure no one sneaks in when someone leaves. I paid for my things and as I was leaving my boyfriends brother is at the door but they won't let him in. I asked him if he wanted anything because they aren't letting anymore people in and the girl at the door pretty much pushed me outside. My boyfriend was still inside paying for his things and he told me after the lady behind the counter was saying that she couldn't believe I asked the guy what he wanted and she accused me of holding the door open for more customers. My boyfriend said yeah that's my girlfriend and my brother. The mean lady grumbled about how tired she was and how she wanted to go home. They seemed against having customers. Shut your business down if you hate customers!!! Idiots don't have any customer service at all!! Overall a bunch of jerks work there and if you go near closing time they will be rude, pushy, and shut the door in your face. I'll never be back! Assholes! read more

My friends and I stopped by this package store before going to lunch at Crazy Burger. We picked up a four pack of our favorite coffee stout by Revival. After each having a sip, we agreed the flat beer tasted wonky and checked the expiration date - sure enough, it was expired. After lunch, we headed back to the package store with the receipt to explain our situation with the hopes of swapping the expired cans with fresh ones. The staff met us with unanticipated (and unnecessary) opposition. Because we left the three unfinished, open cans on the table, they were reluctant to exchange the one beer (with a clearly marked expiration date) for a new four pack. One staff member suggested we drive back to Crazy Burger and ask our hostess to salvage the cans because the store could not get THEIR money back from the distributor without them. We explained that it would have been awkward to walk the open cans out of a BYOB restaurant and drive them back to the store. It would be even more awkward to go back to the restaurant to ask for the discarded cans. After a hard time, they gave us our money back with no apology for stocking expired beer. We're assuming they didn't want to replace the beer (as requested) because of how likely it was the rest of their supply was expired too. We were incredibly off put by how unpleasant the interaction was and will not be returning to a package store that will not eat a TINY cost to exchange expired beer. read more
