The Bike Stop Cafe never disappoints. The Meat Lovers pizza was excellent! Shrimp taco's for Taco Mania were fantastic! Friendly staff and a great atmosphere.

I'm sorry that this was not a great experience, as the cafe is cute, although a little on the scruffy side. It could definitely use a good scrubbing. Both my dining companion and I wanted seafood for lunch. We were told that their fish delivery, which they receive every other day, wasn't in yet. However, they had one order of mussels left, from their last delivery. I wasn't comfortable eating 2-day old mussels, so both of us ordered hamburgers. We were surprised that burgers were not cooked to order. I normally like mine medium rare, but we were told these were only cooked well done. It made more sense once we saw them. They cook 2 thin patties, slice them in half, and serve them on a hoagie roll with American cheese, lettuce & tomato. I found mine to be quite dry, even with added caramelized onions. We opted for side salads instead of fries, and enjoyed how fresh & crisp they were. We also liked the excellent blue cheese dressing. There was an upcharge for the salad but, surprisingly, not only the salad. I understand upcharges for things like caramelized onions and avocado, but they charged my friend for having a slice of cheddar instead of American cheese and for a slice of raw onion! Really? Plus, what they actually charged is more than what is listed on the menu. I understand prices are subject to change, but update your menu or have the server inform us when we order, please. We felt like we were being nickel and dimed at every turn. We did receive a 20% discount for mentioning a Facebook promotion they were running, but the add-ons ate that up. Our server was pleasant and efficient until we started questioning the bill, then turned downright surly. We asked to speak to the manager but was told she was too busy. I won't be back.

I use to live in the area and would order the salad pizza all the time. I haven't had it in years. I ordered it tonight and wow!! It's better than I remember. It's such a unique pizza i promise you'll love it! It's the perfect balance. Bike stop is such a cool spot with a gorgeous garden and wood fire pizza oven. But seriously you'll be blown away by the flower garden! And the pizza!! My next order I have to get the sticky wings they look soo yummy! It's located across from boon street park. They have a decent size parking lot. Highly recommend!

I don't know what's up with the reviews here, but everything from the service, to the food, to the space was pretty dang good. We stopped in for lunch and I got the pulled pork grilled cheese. This thing was massive. I'm glad I went with the side salad. It is HEAVY. Hunger was certainly satisfied with this bad boy. Theres plenty of space in here, multiple rooms for seating. Pretty quick on the food, only thing that could have been a bit improved was the atmosphere in there. A little somber for whatever reason, but I'd probably chalk that up to the fact that this is a South county restaurant that thrives in the summer time and it's off season and it was like 40° this day. I'd come back for sure. I didn't try the pizza, but it did look solid. Next time. Thanks bike stop.

The pizza arrived cold and it was also undercooked for being wood grilled. But the truffle fries were good.

I am so glad we found this local gem thanks to the RI Food Fights! We came in on a dark rainy night close to closing. We were warmly greeted and chose to sit at the bar. The bartender was friendly and informative. We did not feel rushed. 3 of us split two pizzas along with 2 orders of tacos. Everything was delicious and there were gluten free options! The meat lovers pizza is worth the trip!

I've always liked bike stop. My absolute favorite thing on their menu is the pork nachos. Whatever they're doing with their pork, they're doing it right! I'm a big fan of their pizzas as well.

The Bike Stop Cafe is, contrary to what I thought, a full service sit down restaurant in the heart of the beachy town of Narragansett. There's a free parking lot out front and the vibe of this place is definitely unique; they have all sorts of different bikes hanging from the walls and they have a central pizza oven that looks like abstract art. Very cool atmosphere. And I like that they use fresh and local ingredients and make the majority of their menu items in house. Our waitress was also incredibly kind, friendly, and attentive. My husband and I visited as part of the RI Food Fights Sandwich Showdown, and the offering for the promotion was the Pulled Pork Grilled Cheese. It's not what I would have chosen, but it really was a delicious, hearty, and rich sandwich. The pulled pork was tasty and moist with a sweet bbq sauce. The thick bread it was served on was so buttery and stayed crispy the whole time. This was a cheese pull-worthy grilled cheese. I ordered a standard side salad with it and there were some Kalamata olives on it which was a nice touch. The sandwich typically comes with fries, and I cannot imagine eating that heavy sandwich with a side of fries. I suppose my only complaint about this meal is that it sat in my stomach like a brick, but I don't regret finishing the entire thing! The Bike Stop Cafe would be the perfect spot to escape the summer heat after a long day at the beach. Though, I'd recommend it any time of year. I'm eager to return to try some other menu items!

Ordered for takeout on a Saturday afternoon. Appreciated the staff made us French fries fresh! The location is great, close to the beach and across from a park. Food was ok, flavor fell flat and felt uninspired. Not the meatball sub was solid, but not amazing. The quinoa salad I had high hopes in flavor between the jalapenos and other items listed but felt bland compared to the menu description. Would be willing to try again in person as takeout can be challenging.

Finally came here for something other than their breakfast buffet and it's safe to say I'll be coming back again soon! Especially to try one of their specials which they have so many throughout the week such as appy hour, one topping pizza with a beer for $15, etc. I ordered a blue moon ($6.50) and then their enormous pad Thai dinner ($17.75) with chicken (+$4). OMG, the portion was crazy but don't worry, I finished all of it (barely). I definitely recommend getting a meat with it because they're generous with that too. I got about 7 to 8 big, tender pieces of chicken. The dish had nice flavor and the noodles went down so easy. I love pad's chewy and moist rice noodles. My only advice to the dish is to add some more of that typical peanut-Thai flavor. It lacked that a little bit. What's even better is the dish came with a nice sized side salad and I like that they added extra things like shredded carrots, cucumber, Kalamata olives, tomatoes, etc. They have a full bar, not just beer and my server was really friendly and cool. I think his name was Kyle. I gotta try their pulled pork next. Kyle said they sear it in their pizza oven and then cook it for 12 hours with a bunch of add-ins. Just a couple minute walk from the water, this place is a must visit.

    Sticky Wings
    Ian M.

I headed to @bikestopcafe for their entry into the @rifoodfights #lordofthewings challenge. These wings are fancy and came out in their own cast iron skillets. They were out of the cast iron sticky wings last year so I was excited to try them. These wings are baked in their wood fired oven in a sweet Asian inspired sauce. And boy are they sticky! More importantly, they are good. Baked wings can be hit or miss with me but I found myself enjoying these. The sauce was sweet and tangy and I found myself wishing I had one mor, not because I was hungry, but just for the flavor. Another solid entry

Despite what I thought....this is not a Bike Shop! Stopped in for the breakfast buffet with friends! I loved it! The food was delicious! They offer a breakfast buffet Friday through Sunday from 10-12! The food was all homemade and delicious! The buffet included Fruit, muffins, biscuits and gravy, bacon, sausage, home fries, eggs, and my favorites - breakfast pizza and French Toast Casserole! The pizza was delicious!!!! Crispy with bacon and sausage! Yummmmmy! The French toast casserole was amazing! Sweet and perfectly cooked! The vibe is casual, with games all over the place to play! Everyone was super friendly and next time I'm in Naragansett - I'm coming back for apps, pizza, drinks and games!

Upon our 5:30 p.m. arrival, my wife and I were immediately seated in the far corner of the outdoor patio. From the beginning, the host's demeanor came across as cold and dismissive. When she told us to "enjoy," her tone made it clear she didn't mean what she said. When our waitress arrived, she wanted to explain what the daily specials were, but before she began, we politely asked if we could move to another section of the patio so we could sit in the sun. After speaking with the host, she returned with what I can only describe as a smart-ass attitude, saying, "Those tables are for people who actually have reservations." We completely understood if those tables were reserved, but there was absolutely no reason for the condescending attitude. Instead, we were moved to another corner table, and after the host decided to tell us "enjoy" with the same condescending tone. Once we sat down, I asked the waitress if she could explain the daily specials, but then she quickly replied, "now that we're at a different table, the other waitress/waiter will have to do that" since it wasn't her "zone". As we sat there, we couldn't help but notice what appeared to be a noticeable difference in how other guests were treated. The tables that gave off what I would describe as a more "upper class" appearance, well-dressed white guests who appeared more affluent, seemed to receive a warmer welcome and far more attentive service. Whether that was intentional or not, we couldn't shake the feeling that we were viewed differently. I'm white myself, but perhaps my tattoos or the fact that I was dining with my Brazilian wife caused us to be perceived differently. I honestly don't know. What I do know is that we left feeling like we didn't fit the restaurant's idea of its preferred clientele. For example, our waitress never offered us the option of tap or bottled water, while nearby "upper class" tables were given that choice. Around 6:10 p.m., we ordered appetizers, which took roughly 20 minutes to arrive, while tables seated after us were already receiving their food. We then placed our entrée orders and waited... and waited... and waited. In addition, we found a hair in the salad that we ordered, and when we brought it up to the waitress, her only answer was "that's impossible, everyone in the kitchen wears hairnets... At approximately 6:40 p.m., the hostess came to our table and explained there had been a "mix-up" because we had switched tables, causing our entrée order to be delayed. That explanation made very little sense. How does simply switching tables result in an order being delayed by that much? It pointed to a serious lack of communication between the front of the house and the kitchen. By approximately 6:50 p.m., I believe a manager came to our table and asked if there was anything he could do. At that point, I bluntly asked for the check because waiting well over an hour for our food was simply unacceptable. Ironically, our entrées finally arrived around 7:00 p.m., but by then we had completely lost our appetite. I sent the food back and again requested the check. Even then, it still took another 10 minutes to receive it. To the hostess's credit, she apologized, and I told her I appreciated the apology. However, I also explained that this restaurant clearly has a major communication problem. More importantly, the dismissive attitude we experienced from the moment we walked in set the tone for the entire evening and left us feeling unwelcome. In a nutshell: We waited an hour and a half for our food we never received, we were mistreated, felt discriminated, and there were still PLENTY of open tables in the patio facing the sun. This was our first visit to Narragansett, and unfortunately it was not the welcome we expected. I didn't even bother asking if the restaurant offered a military discount because, by that point, I already felt like we didn't belong. We will NEVER return.
