I cannot say enough good things about this store. My daughter and I were driving through Georgia on our way to drop her at college when my alternator went out. I was stuck in a parking lot one exit down from the store. We had come from Colorado and were heading to south Florida. I called O'Reilly and explained my situation. I bought the part over the phone and they found someone to meet me where I was and make the repairs for me. We were on our way again in an hour and a half. Thank you so much for going above and beyond to help a stranded motorist!! You saved our trip and restored our faith in humanity! read more

After a week of waiting, we called and were told the battery was ordered from Amazon and he checked shipping details, then returned to the phone and said the battery was in Georgia and they should have it soon. Almost two weeks later, we called again. The guy checked and said apparently the order got canceled because the battery was out of stock. Not sure which story is true since he had previously stated that Amazon claimed the shipment was in Georgia and now he said the order was canceled. We requested and received a refund after being told they don't give refunds but my husband insisted on a refund. We waited three weeks for nothing. They could have called and updated us.

Their resolution to the problem was install a new $300 hard drive and another $80. I had purchased one of their guaranteed hard drives 13 months prior. I was able to buy a new faster computer with 3 times larger hard drive than they wanted to sell me for $300. They still took me for $80 and coworker was able to reload windows for $0.00. No new hard drive required!

A couple days ago, I walked in there to get a new screen protector. As I said, we've been going here for years, so it should have only been $10.00. A girl at the desk told me that it would be $60.00, and that I was wrong and my screen protector wasn't from there. She peeled the corner of my protector off (to get a closer look i guess), and it made the crack much worse. I left, but soon went back when I noticed the damage. The manager told me that he had already been informed of the situation, and the most he would do to help me is charge $35.00 instead of the $60.00. He was rude, and the original girl at the desk was even worse. I will never go back there nor recommend it to a friend. I ended up buying a cheap screen protector at walmart and doing it myself, which i should have just done in the first place.

Here's how it went: The Good: -- They are professional. Each interaction with the people was good. They are helpful, explain what they are doing, and answer all questions. -- The service is relatively fast. -- Waiting areas are pretty clean. -- Easy to schedule an appointment online. I got one for my brakes same day. -- Decent selection of tires. The Not So Good: -- Expensive -- Expensive -- Did I say expensive? Let me qualify this. -- Tires are about 50% more than a place like Walmart or Costco where you will get a similar product with no noticeable difference and similar warranty. -- I got my brakes (all 4 wheels) done about 2 years ago at a different shop for about $800. Mavis charged me $1100 for 2 wheels! -- you can go to auto zone and get all the parts they used for about $450 vs the $670 they charged me -- Labor is a set price for working on a set part. It is NOT per hour. $416 for labor that took a total of 1 hour and 20 minutes. To put this in perspective, that is the same as a junior airline captain. Bottom Line: We went to Mavis out of convenience and necessity. We will NOT be going back. Save your money and go someplace else.
