We drove quickly to the nearest auto parts store, which happened to be this Napa, hoping to replace the coolant and be on our way. With my hood up in the parking lot, the owner approached and inquired as to our problem. Within 30 minutes Mike had us hooked up w/ a local mechanic and the water pump was ordered. Because of his willingness to step in and help, we were back on the road the next morning. Some reading this would assume this to be some sort of scam- Not true. My GMC has 180,000 miles on it and the water pump was due to be replaced; I'm just glad it decided to go out in town and not on a lonely stretch of blue highway. When in Lander please support this local business. It is owned by an amazing person who treated us with respect and kindness and helped us get back on the road as quickly as possible.
