i would sell my car before returning to this store for automotive assistance. I spent nearly $300 on a battery in may of 2023. i can acknowledge my naivety in: 1) falling for this act of highway robbery and 2) not saving my receipt. anyway, the battery died after 27 months. i returned to the store where they told me they should be able to trace my purchase since it was so recent, despite my not having the receipt. i provided my contact info (which has not changed since my original purchase), but they were unable to find proof I purchased the battery. when I asked the staff member why my information would not yield a result, they said it would, unless they didn't ask me for it when I purchased the battery. Per the associate, contact information like name and phone number are "not required" to make a purchase, but the staff at the time "should have" asked for it when processing my transaction. Ultimately they refused to help me despite it being their fault that my purchase was untraceable. They tried to say the cheapest battery they could sell me was $200. i then went to walmart where they sold me a $150 battery with a 3 year warranty, and told me even if I lost my receipt, any Walmart store in the COUNTRY could look up my purchase and honor the warranty if needed. save yourself the money and the headache and avoid this establishment at all costs. read more

The manager or I think he's the manager the old man with the spiky white hair always has a attitude when one goes to his store and ask questions about parts that they need more information on or to see if warranty is still liable that's why as a customer I go to the stores to ask those questions and to see about my warranty but he has an Attitude when one is simply asking those questions because they don't know. maybe if he's not Happy where he is in life working a job at his age then he should've done better in life to not be in that predicament but he shouldn't be being rude for one simply trying to ask questions on things they don't know about that's why he's there working if you don't like it go get another job easy as that read more

Ordered a part online with 1 hour pickup. After my husband had gone down to pick it up, I received a call from somoene at the store. There was a guy yelling things at him to say to me. They told me they found the part and we could pick it up tomorrow at 7:30. I told them no, my husband had probably just left and they would wait for him to return. The person yelling was rude to the person who was on the phone and to myself. When I called my husband, he told me the guy in the store was very rude to him and never looked for the part, as his system told him they were out. Horrible customer service! read more

The manager tried to guilt me into not returning an item that didn't work, then told me that I could not return that type of item. I asked where does it say that and he couldn't give me an answer. I think he made it up but who knows. Guess I'll just stick to Amazon. read more

I am a regular at this O'Reilly's store. People are always friendly! I needed a new battery for my daughter's car we had just gotten for her. Now, anybody can install a battery.....unless it's a Ford Focus......and, me! Well, the service was so way beyond the call of their duty. They loaned tools, let me exchange items until I had the correct parts and reached places under the micro hood. I knew there was some corrosion on the battery but had no idea it went all the way into the battery. They patiently worked with me and reached areas I could not reach. I had to break off a piece of the battery and we basically brainstormed as to what to do to remove it. I recommend this place to everyone in the Rowlett area! read more

DO NOT use this O'Reilly! I took my car in for a new battery and the guy installed it wrong and caused $500 worth of damage. They have bad management and could care less about their mistake. Drive up the street to Auto Zone and save yourself a headache and some money. read more

Yesterday, August 19, we dropped off the factory battery for my husband's Dodge Challenger. When we went to pick it up later in the afternoon, we were told that they could not find it, that they must have given it to someone else. No one could help us, as we were told that both the manager AND the assistant manager had the day off. So, in essence, there was no one with any decision-making authority in the store. When the assistant manager was called, we were told that he would "deal with it tomorrow." So, now its "tomorrow." We called to speak with a manager. After 15 minutes on the phone with him, we were told that they could sell us a replacement and give us a $30 dollar discount?! So my understanding is that if the employees lose our property, we get the privilege of purchasing a discounted new one? That is asinine. At that point we asked for the District Manager's contact info, but were told to come pick up a new battery and we were not given the contact information. Upon arriving at O'Reilly's, the manager silently handed us a battery and walked away. No apology for the confusion, the extra trips. Nothing. I have been a retail manager for many years, and am appalled at how this was handled. I sincerely hope other locations have better customer service, but at this point, I'll never know because I don't care to visit another location after this experience. read more
