One time, I had a power steering hose bust on a Saturday and they were quick to order the part and assist, since most shops/dealerships won't be able to on the weekend. They even explained how it broke and what they did to address the issue. Also, another time when getting an oil change/inspection, I asked if they could check for a knocking noise every time I hit bumpy surfaces. They did a thorough inspection and even assisted in securing some inner wheel housing panels that had missing retainer clips by installing some. They spent a good 15-20 minutes doing that for no charge. Very helpful!

The person who guided me in said he'd go get the inspector, so I'm certain they heard that I needed an inspection. Then someone else pointed out that my mileage didn't indicate an oil change was necessary. I said that I usually just get an oil change at the same time as my inspection. For those keeping count, that's three times the inspection had been mentioned. They did the oil change and said I was good to go. I asked for the documentation that I passed inspection only to be told "Oh, our system has been down for two days, we can't do inspections". So I wasted my time getting an oil change they initially said wasn't necessary and still have to find someplace and make another trip to get an inspection. And for blatantly lying to my face multiple times was I offered a discount coupon or even the complimentary bottle they never gave me? No, I got jack with a side of squat. This location seriously needs to go out of business.

He got my vehicle in for the inspection right away, even though they were busy, after the inspection he took me inside the work bay, so I could see what the issue was first hand. Because he knew the repairs would take a little while, the business provided a ride via Lyft to my house, after a few hours Steven G called to inform me that my repairs would take a little longer than expected, and that they would be keeping it over night. The next morning they called to inform me that the work was complete and ordered a Lyft from my house to Breaks Plus for me to pick up my vehicle. When I arrived, he went over the repairs again to ensure I understood what they did. As an added bonus, Breaks Plus gave me a military discount, that reduced my bill by a couple hundred dollars. All in all, I'd say that I was more than pleased with the service I received. I'm glad that I no longer have to listen to the "Que, Que, Que, sound as I'm driving down the road. And I was getting to know Steven because I trusted what he told me and I knew he backed the work like every manager I've come to know. But my most recent experience with Steven off for the recent birth of his child. Left me there with Angelo , I believe. My wife's brake lights wouldn't turn off, my friend who is a mechanic said check switch. I bought one and got the old one out but couldn't get the new clip in to install switch. So I drove my wife's car to brakes plus to keep her safe. The fill in manager asked how he could help. I said my wife's brakes lights wouldn't turn off and asked if they could install the switch I had bought , but couldn't get in. He asked how I knew it was the switch I said my friend said start there , he asked what if this doesn't fix it , then I said I'd happily pay for a diagnosis. The mechanic drove the car back to a bay and about 15 mins later it was running outside the door. They said it was fixed and I asked if the brake lights were off and the trac warning was too. He said brake lights were off that the other light was on, but could turn off after driving it. We got home and brake lights or trac warning light didn't turn off. So we both returned and I was upset. I asked what happen to my wife's car being fixed? He told me they installed the switch like I asked. I told him I wanted it fixed like he told me. I asked if they adjusted it and he told me it wasn't adjustable which it can be. I was yelling and and he grabbed the phone to call the police after he said he wasn't going to work on her car and for me to leave. I left the building and tried slamming door , but a safety mechanism in door prevented that and it was left open. I left the property in my truck , and my wife kept insisting her brakes be fixed so it was safe for her to drive. He threw her out too and said he was calling the police because I broke his door. I made it down the road about 5 minutes from the incident. Rowlett police pulled me over and told me they heard I broke their door and it was $1,200 estimate to get it fixed. I told the officer they got me quick , but how did they get the estimate that quick and he agreed it sounded fishy. But the door appeared to be broke, I said I'd pay damages I caused , but the fill in refused. He pressed charges and I was arrested for criminal mischief and trespassing if I return. Less than an hour later me wife drove by in my truck and the door was working. I have a special needs daughter who rides with my wife often. I coach Special Olympics, I'm not a bad guy, I admit I could've been calmer , but the very recent death of our other daughter 2 months ago has me emotional. But he lied and said work was done and lied about my wife's safety. I've spent probably over $20,000 at that one location. Any other manager wouldn't have let my wife leave the store without functioning lights and would've had kept trying. It wasn't the switch after all. It was the brake light switch stop. A bumper stop on pedals. There was also one brake light out and a running light that could've made y'all more money on the sell, and insuring my wife's safety. We will be filing a complaint and seeking legal action for my false arrest. Picture's added of the lights they felt was safe for my family to drive around on constantly.

Great, the price is modest, what could go wrong. Not only do they try and up sell you, but they also try and upsell stuff you wouldn't even think to be asked at a place known for oil changes and fluid maintenance. They took off my clamps to my battery to supposedly measure the output, but not only did they say my battery would go out within the matter of weeks, this was two years ago on the same battery. Either incompetence or deceit, one or both, completely unacceptable. Now, at this point I might sound harsh, but afterwards (of course I did not purchase their battery) I went to work. After work, I go to start my car and not even a flinch. I look under the hood and the clamp not only to one side but for both were very loose (negative connection was barely even on). Incredibly dangerous and reckless. I would never come back here and have happily changed my oil on my own ever since. Incompetence at its finest.
