The Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM) battery I bought the summer before last from Advanced Auto Parts…read morealready gave out on me. It was probably my fault because I always leave my GPS plugged in. But not now after $324.96 on a new "Premium MTZ-48/H6 Battery" (AGM) here. That includes tax and a $20 installation fee. Brandi at Interstate Batteries of SENM (Southeastern New Mexico) was friendly and helpful. (Thanks for not being mad at me from not remembering you right away... Note: I hadn't seen her since at least junior year of high school. I doubt she'll ever read this because there aren't many Yelpers here.) So for future reference and for all new-comers... If you need your battery tested or just know that you want to swap one out, go to the east side bay door. I started to honk like the sign said, but anyone that has been around my 2020 Jeep knows it is obnoxiously loud. Just as I saw the sign, a guy approached the front of my vehicle and motioned me inside. He did his best to talk me into trickle charging the one I brought at home, but I already had it in my head I wanted an Interstate brand. I've had experience with trickle charges and I don't trust them. My warranty is good... 36 months free replacement and within 5 years a trade-in would be pro-rated. All three employees I dealt with worked fast and were amicable. I spent probably at most 15 minutes there. Jeep cranks up better than it ever did. Now, if we were discussing my business relations with their accounts payable clerk, that's a whole 'nother story because that person does not respond to voicemails or emails in a timely manner. Guess I'm a supporter of NASCAR, Joe Gibbs Racing, and we'll go with Martin Truex, Jr., now.
