This is Thursday a little after 2pm. I went to Battery Joe . I needed two batteries for my car keys. On the door it a sign said Temporary Store Hours. Monday- Friday 8:04 - 6:04 and then it said the weekend hours. No was there . Doors locked and lights were off. No sign saying anything about lunch or why they're closed. Another woman drove up as I was leaving . That was two sales they missed. Yes I was ticked because I went out of my way to go there, but not again. read more

This is a very simple store that does a little more than just sell batteries. They do some cell phone repair and will install watch batteries for you, usually even while you wait. If you're in urgent need of some unusual size battery and can't wait for delivery, they will probably have them here. They also sell and change out car batteries. You can even dispose of old dead batteries here, whether lithium, alkaline, or something else. The guys working here have always been friendly. Beware the prices though, it's what you pay for convenience. read more

The sign says that they have a battery for anything! Well, they didn't have the two batteries I was looking for. They sent me to Walgreens down the street. Walgreens had more of a selection then Joe's, when it came to small batteries for key fob and such. Try Walgreens first before going to Joe's. The service was not all that at Joe's. read more

Unfortunately, when I called them to see about getting a battery replacement, I was told that they didn't have it. They weren't going to do it and they gave me all kinds of excuses. I felt they just didn't want the job, and didn't want to be bothered. the person I spoke to was so rude. I don't recommend them for anything. Bring an over the road truck driver, time is very important. Whether on the road for work or at home, time is of the utmost importance. My phone is for business 90% of the time. Load information, business emails/calls and hours of service are all done via my phone. While cleaning my truck, my phone fell out of my pocket and the screen shattered. Luckily, the touch screen was still functional. After a quick internet search and call, I was on my way to Battery Joe. Made it to the store at 1800, one hour before closing. My phone a done being repaired my 1900. Fast, professional and competent staff. Plus, very reasonable repair cost. Thanks for great experience. Highly recommended ! read more

Never even heard of Battery Joe, but after my jewelry store told me they couldn't replace my watch battery because of corporate rules about COVID-19 (which I totally understood), they recommended I go down to Battery Joe on 82nd. I was pretty sure they wouldn't be able to replace my watch battery. Not only did they replace my watch battery for me, they replaced the battery in my key fob for my car. The service was immediate and outstanding. Top notch service. They seem to have batteries for literally everything. They took extra care not to scratch my watch and even cleaned it up a bit. Battery Joe has earned a loyal customer in me for the foreseeable future. I was leaving work any my battery would turn, so I had to have it jumped and immediately started calling places in town all of which were open and would be open for the next hour. The first two places I called said they couldn't install it but could sell me one, well it was raining so that wasn't going to work. So I called the 82nd st location and they said absolutely we can fit you in as soon as you can get here. I pulled up and they promptly asked what they could help me with, and they actually already had my battery ready because I had called ahead! It was a smooth process and I had the please of having Mitchell change my battery. We talked about school and life and he was a true pleasure in helping calm me down from my stressful situation. I initially had trouble with my iphone screen repair, and upon contacting the company was completely taken care of. If more companies would take care of their customers as good as Battery Joe, the world would be a better place! I've had an iPhone screen replaced at the University location in the past with no problems but came into this store this time. Coming in on a Saturday, it was understandable that I was quoted a 3 hour wait for an iPhone 6 Plus screen replacement. All I asked was that they call my husband's cell when the phone was ready. After 3 hours, I had not been called so I headed up to the store where my phone was ready when I walked in. When I got home I noticed my phone wasn't responsive to touch on a consistent basis. When selecting an icon, the phone would detect touch in another location on the screen. So, Monday I headed back to the store and I believe a trainee named Harold assisted me. After I told him what was wrong, he told me the issue might be a bad digitizer in the screen they put on or a bad motherboard because my phone model was notorious for that. I explained to him that the phone was fine before I brought it in and he said they'd replace the screen again and we could address the possible motherboard issue if a 2nd screen replacement didn't fix the issue. Furious because the problem didn't persist prior to having the screen replaced, I agreed to let them put a second screen on. He then twisted and "flexed" my phone for some reason. Again I asked them to contact me at my husband's number when my phone was ready. Again, no phone call so up to the store I went. I was greeted by the assistant manager (who helped me check out on Saturday) and the original crew trainee (Harold?) stood at a neighboring register. After checking out my phone, the other crew member proceeded to tell me "Yeah, there was some warping on the right side of the phone." I asked him if this was because of his need to twist and flex the phone when I dropped it off. Obviously, this trainee is in need of additional service training. Listen to the customer, empathize, apologize and address issues as they come. Do not insult the customer's phone and then proceed to mangle it in front of them when you know they are already sensitive to the fact that there may now be an issue with a previously correctly working phone. (minus cracked screen). I will not return to this store. Hours after leaving the store, it seems this issue persists, so I am still stuck with a phone that won't properly respond to touch and is now acting possessed and making screen selections on its own when unlocked. None of this was occurring prior to me taking the phone into this store. read more

I dropped my phone off at 11am today & was told it would be ready in 90minutes.The guy insisted I give him my passcode I told him no. We turned phone back on I unlocked it so he could look at it. He handed it back & asked AGAIN for my passcode, I again told him no, he stated that it voided the warranty if I didn't give my passcode! That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard, if you are replacing screen no need in having passcode to phone! I went back at 12:35pm & they hadn't even started working on my phone. I literally just picked up my phone, it's 3pm & was charged $65. I'm highly irritated because I should've been told there was a wait when I initially dropped there was a 3-4hr wait! No one apologized about the inconvenience! Now had I given you my passcode you'd have access to everything in my phone which would allow you to use that information anyway you chose.....passcodes aren't necessary to fix the screen! I do not recommend Battery Joe they are understaff so If you're in a hurry Battery Joe isn't the place to take your phone! read more
