[659] Visited this Harrah's location a few time and was not disappointed. The racetrack was closed the day I visited so not sure how popular or cool it is but I can say the seats were great as they are not on top of each other. There are a few restaurants which I did not try (yet). They have a Starbucks. There are overpriced ATMs in the building ($6 fee). Plenty of free offstreet parking. The place is not huge but it's big enough that you won't have an issue grabbing a table or machine. They have a self serve soda machine. There is a VIP section for Diamond members. I'll definitely be back.

We're not big gamblers, so we've only been to Harrah's three times since it opened. When it first opened years ago, we went solely to play the slots. We didn't go again until last month, when we went to a concert in the Block (way back behind all the slots) that friends of ours were playing at (Dead Sea Squirrels!). We went again last week for an event at Guy Fieri's Philly Kitchen & Bar and had a really nice dinner there. Our experience at Harrah's has been just fine. Each time, we've been able to park right on the first level of the parking garage which works out for us. It seems pretty clean to me and there's a ton of staff around. My only complaint would be the signage out front - if you're not careful, you'll end up at the prison. It's very dark back in there and Harrah's could use a more dramatic entrance. Maybe there's another entrance at the other end and we're coming in the back way? I don't know - it could definitely use some oomph either way.

It was NYE and my sister and I decided to go to Harrah's to possibly win us some New Years money, well that didn't happen for the both of us, actually it was kind of a bust at this casino on that day. The casino is very large and it also has a spacious parking lot. I first noticed that the outside of the casino is not as pretty, eye catching and colorful like the Sugar house or Parx nonetheless I figured we was gonna have us a good time regardless cause that's how we get down lol! The pro's of this casino is that everyone seems to effectively abide by the separated sections and it wasn't a big ole smokefest like the Sugar house. The smokers were in the smoking section and the non smoking section was what it was, non smoking!! They also had a variety of food options which was also a plus. The cons of the evening was the ATM machine that didn't work during the time we were there, I actually came prepared with cash on hand, however my sister tried over 10 times to get her money out and was unable to. We then talked to a security guard who informed to us that all the machines were currently down. Wow how all the machines are going to be down on the day that makes the most money. Boy were their some upset people at the casino that day Overall I rate it three stars because it would've been a better time if the ATM machines worked.

    The worst Tito's drink ever
    Sherry J.

We came here for the racing. The bar was closed and the only thing available was the Tito's bar outside. Normally I would be fine with that except the "featured" Tito's drink was disgusting. It came from a hose and tasted like lemon water, 2 for $18. There was no flavor and no Tito's for sure. We got the rest of our drinks upstairs at Guy's for $8 each and worth every penny.

    Gin Blossoms at the Block
    Michelle P.

As a very casual gambler, I didn't think there's much reason for me to visit Harrah's Chester. I typically associate my casino experiences with the beach town of AC or the strip of Vegas. A Gin Blossoms concert at the music venue, the Block, was my recent draw. I'll go into more detail in that review, however it was an intimate venue and a stress free general admission experience. Tim Williams did an acoustic set outside of the Block near one of their bars until about 1am. Killer performance but random environment of post concert goers and casino regulars. Unfortunately, we ran out of time to try the Guy Fieri spot and ended up eating sandwiches in the Market. Inexpensive but nothing special. There were a ton of slots and tables. If that's your thing, it is a good reason to visit. There's no hotel so everyone needs to find a safe way home. It's nice that parking is free. I'd go back for another concert or special event, but was otherwise unimpressed.

First trip and will not be the last trip. When we return to Philly we will visit this place. I am not a big smoker so stay away from the smoking section if you are not a smoker. Other than that had a lot of fun.

    Buffalo chicken cheesesteak
    Jayne M.

I was here for an event in the event center and stopped at Philly Steak Shack for lunch. I ordered a buffalo chicken cheesesteak, which took about 15 minutes to come out. It was not generous with the fillings (mostly bread, it seemed like) and was extremely greasy - not what I expected for a $11 sandwich. It tasted ok and the staff were pleasant

Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia was not initially on my radar for a stay while in Philadelphia…read morefor the Independence Blue Cross Broad Street Run, a 10-mile race that stretches south along Broad Street. While I loved the Expedia flight + hotel package price, I had mixed feelings about booking at this specific hotel. On one hand, it is perfectly located near the finish line and offers a Peloton bike in its fitness center. However, on the other hand, I was hesitant about having a casino attached, fearing it might attract a crowd I was not interested in being around. My experience with the front desk staff was nothing less than professional. Since my room was already booked through Expedia, check-in consisted of a quick verification of my information, a brief overview of amenities, and receiving my room keys. For reference, check-in starts at 3:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM. Upon entering my room, I immediately thought, "This is gorgeous!" The design and color scheme appeared very professional, and the furniture--along with the headboard lighting--added a nice touch. Looking out the window, I had a view of the area, including the Walt Whitman Bridge in the distance, which connects Pennsylvania to New Jersey. In the shower, there were Terra Green liquid products attached to the wall. I particularly enjoyed the lotion and the shampoo/conditioner, which had a lovely scent and made showering very pleasant. Throughout my travels, I have noticed that hotels have largely done away with the small complimentary toiletries, so I appreciated having high-quality options. The shower featured a sliding door, providing privacy, and everything in the bathroom was very presentable, even the toilet paper, which was branded with the 'Live! Casino & Hotel' logo. Along with those features, the room met my high standards for cleanliness. I had no issues getting comfortable in the king-sized bed, with my head perfectly supported by the comfortable pillows. I truly enjoyed the water pressure in the shower; it was soothing and felt great after the race. While it did not have multiple spray patterns, I loved the pressure it had. Other room amenities I noticed included an iron, ironing board, a safe, a Nespresso coffee maker, a mini-refrigerator, and lamps with USB ports and AC plugins. Additionally, the Wi-Fi was easy to connect to, and I experienced zero connectivity issues. I really loved being able to cast my smartphone to the television, allowing me to resume a movie I had been watching on YouTube prior to my stay. Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia, as expected, has an exceptionally beautiful interior. As a fitness enthusiast, having an on-site fitness center was great, as it allowed me to keep up with my routines. I was pleased to see several dumbbell weights, medicine balls, kettlebells, a very nice selection of workout machines, a Cybex fitness bike, and a Peloton bike. I absolutely enjoyed using the Peloton, especially with the lovely Robin Arzon as my instructor, who put my legs through a challenging low-impact workout. If you are looking to visit the city for sporting events, Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia sits conveniently near Citizens Bank Park, and Lincoln Financial Field. Or, if you are looking for a way to get to downtown Philadelphia, the hotel is less than a mile away from the SEPTA NRG Station, which is an accessible way to get downtown with only a few stops in between. Another thing I loved is that the hotel is easy to spot from over a mile away due to its exterior, which made it easy for me to find after finishing the Broad Street Run. I would surely book Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia again, as it met my comfort needs, and I love the fact that its location is highly accessible to points of interest in Philadelphia. ~ Be obsessively grateful. ~ Thomas G

At least this time, they did a better job of keeping out the casino traffic and they weren't traipsing through like they did the last time. But my seat by the trashcan was not enjoyable. I did enjoy the salmon, RJ liked the chicken, and there was a good assortment of tiny cupcakes. Delaware Park management should go visit some good tracks and learn how they operate. Originally opened in a small red barn in 1980, as one of the Seminole Tribe's first casinos, it's presently a 27,000-square-foot casino with over 400 Las Vegas style slot machines, high-stakes bingo, and a full service restaurant and lounge. It is one of the largest employers in Glades County with more than 210 dedicated employees. Even though this is the oldest and smallest of their Casinos, I found it to be clean, well maintained, and the air quality was excellent. The employees that I interacted with were warm, friendly, professional, and helpful. This particular Saturday afternoon the place was packed and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. The favorites were the slot machines, but also the majority of seats were taken at the game tables. BTW, $10 game tables on a Saturday afternoon is a pretty good deal. The adjoining Bingo Room (about the size of a small grade school gymnasium) was packed with mainly our senior players. Down the road a couple of miles construction is presently underway to replace this Casino with a new casino-hotel which will feature a nearly 38,000-square-foot casino, 623 slot machines and 18 tables for blackjack, baccarat and other house-banked card games. Included in the total number of slot machines will be 101 in a smoke-free gaming space and a high-limit area with 42 slot machines and four table games - all this sitting on a new 75-acre site with a 10-acre lake and parking for 1,000 vehicles. Original plans were for the new Casino to open in late 2024, and the subsequent closing of the existing one, however I have read where it now may be sometime in 2025. Make it a point to visit here soon, I think you'll have a good time. Then return again to check out the new one when it opens. I'm looking forward to it.
