Tropicana Atlantic City is very lively. The "quarter" area is full of restaurants. There is something for everyone to have a great time. There is an IMAX theater, escape room, arcade, salon, many restaurants , and bars. The rooms in the north tower seem older but was comfortable.

The reviews for the Tropicana are certainly a mixed can of worms. Our experience for our 2 night stay was positive. We had rooms in the South tower on the 20th floor. Due to a reservation mix-up we had different rooms for both nights. We got lucky, because both the rooms we were given were huge and had ocean and bay views. We were at a conference with other friends and everyone else's rooms were half the size of ours. The Tropicana is vast and a city unto itself. There are several towers (South, North, Havana, and Chelsea). The Chelsea appears to be the older side of the building and a maze to get to. My recommendation is if you can get a room in the South Tower on an upper level, you shouldn't be disappointed. There are many restaurants, eateries, and bars all within the Tropicana. We actually had all our meals right on the property. There was plenty of entertainment from live bands to dueling pianos. All within the walls of the Tropicana.

Cleanliness of bathroom and having hot water for the shower. Disgusting hair covered soap left in shower. Made me throw a hand towel down on shower floor to take my ice cold shower! NO Hot Water!!!! Happy I brought my own HABA products wasn't touching those filthy dispensers. Call on telephone to complain and get the IVY program telling you how to Check out! Elevator was so slow to 19th floor of Chelsea Tower that there was a long line going down the hall and around the corner on the 5 th floor transfer area. Being handicapped it was quite a hike for me on top of that they charge you a fee for a closer room are you kidding me. Weed being smoked in every area of hotel. The shape of the bathroom made me question the cleanliness of everything. Thick dust accumulated behind hanging mirror. For what they charge it should be cleaner and should be renovated it is old! I wouldn't stay here again!

I can't lie they have everything restaurants, movie theaters, comedy clubs, shopping, poker, slots, night clubs, there is no reason to be bored. I do wish there were more options for slots but I did get to play some games I have not seen before. Looking forward you going back in the summer when there is more people and everything is open. Going during a snow storm probably not the best time to go.

I've stayed at The Tropicana AC multiple times. And although Tropicana is a bit far from the main boardwalk, it makes up for it with a variety of things-to-do. The Tropicana has multiple restaurants and bars with music and pregame spots like Wet Willie's for a quick to-go drink. Perhaps best of all, it has many solid nightclubs with music ranging from top current pop hits to 70s throwbacks. A little bird told me it's very easy to pickup singles at these spots. Price wise, you can often catch bargains for rooms. They are generally clean and comfy if you pay a bit more and choose a renovated tower - Solana Tower in the west wing or the South Tower. On the otherhand, drinks tend to be a bit pricey at the bars and pop clubs. So, I highly recommend pregaming in your room before you head out. Overall, Tropicana is on the top of my list of AC spots when I'm not interested in cruising the boardwalk.

This casino is living in the old ages. I live in Reno, and regularly visit Las Vegas. Tropicana's machines regularly glitched out and didn't allow me to cash out or place a bet. Take notice of the picture in my review disallowing a cash out. This ended up costing me hundreds of dollars. Wouldn't recommend such an outdated casino. West coast US has the casino game on lock.

My boyfriend brought me here. No one told me Danny Devito would be there!! He is short and I felt like a super model walking around with him. He's funny tho and posted for most of our groups drinks. Thanks Dan!

I come Tropicana to eat drink and play. I feel very comfortable as safe while on the casino floor. They have so many excellent Restaurants to choose from PF Changs, Carmines, Cuba Libre and Wild honey just to name a few. They also have a IMAX theater for all your movie needs. Many retail shops to spend some money. Many sweet treats spot located throughout the Casino the oldies but Goodie and my fav is Mrs Fields. For some frozen drinks Wet Willie's.

I think this is a great Casino / mall. We did lots more shopping/ browsing than gambling. It's a great place to hang out during the winter. Plenty to do here and a wide variety of places to eat and drink!

We had a really amazing time we had gone on a cruise for our 25th anniversary of New York and I surprise my husband was a trip for three days to Atlantic City staying at the Tropicana. Everything was exceptional with a little scary moment the first night we were there had a fire alarm go off, but eventually after a couple hours was all fixed up in the straightened out and went back to gambling made money. Everybody was friendly and kind and helpful because he's disabled and we had this fantastic room in the salt tower overlooking the ocean. It was absolutely gorgeous most beautiful view Fantastic sleeping just one of the most amazing times I've ever had.

*****THIS IS A LONG READ*****…read more This was my first time staying at this hotel, and I must say, my check-in experience was horrible! This is my birthday weekend, so I came alone for a little R&R and self-care. I did not expect to be treated as horribly as I was! I arrived about 3:30 and went to the kiosk for express check-in, only to realize I had left my wallet in my car. I went over to the bell hop desk, where I was nicely greeted by Mario, to ask if I could leave my belongings there while I went to retrieve my wallet. Mario explained to me that he could hold my things, but had to grab a cart for them and give me a ticket as standard protocol. While I waited for him to return, the most RUDE, NASTY, ARROGANT, IMPOLITE, IGNORANT male comes to me yelling, "MA'AM YOU CAN'T LEAVE YOUR STUFF HERE!" I told him to calm down and stop talking to me like that! I then tried explaining the situation to him, and what Mario told me, but before I could finish, he cut me off and yells... "Well he's new! That's why he told you to leave your stuff here! I'M THE BELL CAPTAIN! HE SHOULD'VE CAME AND GOT ME! YOU CAN'T JUST LEAVE YOUR STUFF HERE, YOU NEED A TICKET!" I asked him why he was yelling! There was no need for that, especially if I'm not speaking to him that way! He replies while flailing his arms around, "OH HERE WE GO! HERRRRRE WE GO!" I tried again to explain that Mario had already told me that, but Mr. "Bell Captain" who I later found out name is Saleem, was so bent on letting me know his position that he couldn't even hear what I was saying. Mario then comes back with the cart, and he proceeds to yell at Mario! "DON'T EVER DO THAT AGAIN! WHO AM I??? WHO AM I ??" Mario and another Bellman quietly says, "Bell Captain." He then says, "YEAH SO THAT'S WHY Y'ALL CHECK WITH ME FIRST!" I stepped in and told him that if he's a real leader, he doesn't have to blast who he is, (not to mention it was on his name tag) and he should not be embarrassing his employees publicly. He could have talked to him in the back and let him know what he did wrong. I didn't need to see that! I also told him, I'm not sure if he's having a bad day, but there was no reason for him to behave this way! He starts yelling...again...."I'M GREAT! ALL MY BILLS ARE PAID! I GOT MONEY IN THE BANK! I'M GOOD!" I don't understand what that had to do with anything but whatever. He then went back to yelling about him being the Bell Captain and what the protocol was for me leaving my stuff there. CLEARLY he missed that Mario did the right thing from the beginning! Mr. Bell Captain just felt the need to power trip in that moment for whatever reason. I told him he needed to listen and not interrupt when someone is speaking because he would have known that it was handled correctly! He put his hand up and says, I'M NOT TALKING TO YOU!" I looked at Mario, thanked him for helping me and told him he did nothing wrong. This situation made me so angry that I burst into tears! To add insult to injury, after all the drama, I was waiting for over an hour to get my belongings because SOMEONE put the incorrect room number in the system. I found that out because I had to go back down to the lobby to see what was going on with my things. I was late for my dinner reservation, and my night was pretty much ruined. I couldn't fully enjoy my dinner the way I'd hoped to. I actually cried while at the restaurant because I was still so frustrated with how everything had gone. Not only did I come here to rest and relax, I came her to try and release some of my grief from the loss of my Baby Brother. Hopefully my spa experience will be much better. Shout out to "T" whom I believe was the Operations Manager. He helped me calm down and agreed to address Saleem and the issue. However, I wanted this situation to be documented. NOBODY should ever be able to get away with mistreating ANYONE no matter their position. I WILL be pursuing this further until I'm satisfied with the outcome.

The check‑in line moves quickly, even when it looks a little backed up, and the process feels organized and easy. We like to stay in the North Tower, since those elevators are the most convenient and make getting to and from the room a breeze. The music memorabilia throughout the property is a huge part of the fun, with pieces tucked into hallways, near the elevator banks, and in special showcase corners that are worth stopping to admire. The North Tower rooms are comfortable and clean, and some have clearly been updated with newer furnishings, which adds to the overall experience. Dining is another strong point, with plenty of food options on site so you can stay in the resort vibe whether you want a quick bite or a sit‑down meal. And when you're ready for a break from the casino, having the boardwalk just outside the doors is a major bonus. Being able to walk out, breathe in the salty air, and take a stroll by the ocean is the perfect finishing touch that keeps Hard Rock at the top of our Atlantic City list.

The room was bright enough to make me feel hopeful again. The furniture looked new, the bedding cleaner than the soul of a saint. You could almost smell the paint still trying to dry. The bathroom was beautiful. There was a shower stall with a fake marble bench. I sat on it and felt like an emperor, briefly. Then I noticed a little mold blooming around the shower head. A small rebellion. There were stains on the wall too, ghostly handprints of humidity. That's how things go in Atlantic City, shiny today, peeling tomorrow. My view was of the old Trump Plaza, or what's left of it. A carcass. Concrete ribs showing. It stared at me every morning like an old man who still thinks he's handsome. Not much Caesars can do about that. But it reminded me, again and again, that this city is more memory than place now. The casino felt haunted, though not by spirits, but by the absence of them. Slot machines blinked for no one. A few people were sleeping in their chairs, which seemed fair enough. The table games were quiet as a church on Tuesday. I used to work security at the Trump Marina, grave shift, back when things were merely dying instead of dead. I recognized the silence. It hums in your bones. Most of the restaurants were closed. Tazza Cafe was holding down the fort, serving decent coffee and sandwiches in a space that felt like the corner of an airport food court that had gone to community college. Gordon Ramsay's Pub & Grill was running too. They served over-priced shepherd's pie and image, but little more. Nobu opened on Thursday, like a movie star showing up to an empty theater. Parking was an adventure through the absurd. You go through the Temple Garage, cross Arkansas Street like a pilgrim, then slip into the Colosseum Garage to park. It felt like a test to see who really wanted to be there. Most employees seemed to have mastered the art of avoidance, the kind of indifference that comes from too many shore town winters. The exception was the front desk team, who were unfailingly kind, efficient, and seemed genuinely happy to see another breathing soul. So here's the moral. The rooms in the Centurion Tower are beautiful, even luxurious. If you can snag a midweek off-season rate, it's worth it for the comfort of the bed and the quiet view of decay. But the magic is gone from Caesars Atlantic City. What remains is a gleaming room in a tired city, a testament to how we keep trying to polish what is already sinking.

Our marina community enjoyed the convenience of this hotel/casino. Pros: * Nice marina views from the Chart House. Solid happy hour. * Vic and Anthony's Steak House is always consistent. Order their burger! * Great people-watching at the outdoor H20 pool (6th floor) * Lillie's is one of the best Asian restaurants around! Open late on the weekends. * Renovations are underway. New carpets in the lobby and updated guest rooms/hallways. Nice! * The Deck Bar (outdoor bar) - the only non-private bar on the water in Atlantic City * Strong wi-fi in guest rooms Cons: * This is the SMOKIEST casino in Atlantic City. Your hair will reek. * In-room dining only available on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. * Aged clientele (lots of seniors). * Barn-style guest room bathroom door that offers zero sound privacy. * The Deck Bar (yes, this is both a pro and con). The bands (and their music) are redundant year after year. You will not get lost in here. The casino floor is relatively small, but that's not necessarily a bad thing! The Golden Nugget will always hold a special place in our boater hearts.

Today just passed through to have dinner at the Chart House! Don't care for the smoke odor :( Enjoy the beautiful art installations and paintings!!
