I loved looking around at all the plants. As in most places in Hawai'i, if you're prone to getting bug bites (aka me), you might wanna spray on some protection or cover up. I love that they have a mix of plants, produce, and really cute products. Everything you'd need from moss poles, spray bottles, ceramic pots of all sizes. I even got a really cute plant sticker for my water bottle.

I think they're typically not dog friendly - but i asked prior to the event if they were allowed if they were in strollers and they said yes! i did not want to make the drive over and get turned away! However, at the event itself i saw pets walking on leashes so maybe they became flexible day of? it was too hot on a summer day so poor doggies to be walking on hot pavement. :( i kept them away from the market inside and if i saw food planted on the ground etc. the food vendors had a separate area off to the side which was really hard to get to with a stroller with all the gravel so i decided to skip it too. at the event there was barely no parking - i luckily found street parking in the housing area and walked over which took about 15 minutes i think. During the event the road is super narrow and only one car can get in and out of the housing area around mari's garden.

We wanted to buy gardenia and flowers like ginger that we can take to the grave. Some of the plants are not marked and hubs did not want to pay $35 per plant. There are also lots of blue ceramic planters and a variety of turf for sale. Wear footwear appropriate for a garden or nursery as there are wet areas. Would recommend a visor or cap as it is outdoors and particularly warm with beautiful skies today. First person from office put on her mask but other two employees I saw were unmasked. My favorite is the arrangements. They are beautifully put together and they are in bags so easy to put in a pot/planter. When I asked Mario how often they put out arrangements, he said daily. So early bird gets the worm. We went in the afternoon, sun was beaming. Recommend going earlier in the day and bring cash.

You can drive right up to the plants, but it can get very hot as there is no shade. It is located in sort of a field. I would also bring cash as it is easier to purchase. I have paid through Facebook before, but it was inconvenient because the people who help you are the workers and they are usually in the field. Their arrangements are lovely and the pricing is one of the better places I have found. The contact person is very friendly.

My worms are local! It was easy enough to call Zachary to set up a time to pick up worms. He sells them out of his home/worm ranch, and we got a fun little tour of his operations. He has an amazing garden and it looked like tons of worm production. He had already pulled out a batch of worms for me, but poured them out to show me before bundling them up. They were very lively and so plentiful. He explained that he sells only blue worms and they're the faster eaters (as opposed to red worms), and that I wouldn't need to wait to feed the worms--in the past, the worms needed to acclimate for a few days before feeding. Zachary is very knowledgeable, and he also sells vermicast by the pound, if worm farming isn't your cup of (worm) tea. In my opinion, his prices are quite reasonable.
