I absolutely love coming to this location, i live in the Pearl City area and even though i work in town i prefer this location to the town location ( traffic and parking). Receptionist's and intake MA have always been nice and professional greeting me with a smile and always saying hello. They are working so hard always on the phone or scheduling an appt probably amongst other things like doing prior auths for failed insurance coverage etc etc. They always knows who i am when checking in, and while sometimes we do have to wait because Dr Tsai is delivering a baby or seeing a new mother for her morning check up i am totally fine waiting. Dr Tsai has been my OB for 6 of my births and there is no where else i would rather be. She is hard working, selfless, knowledgeable, knows how to make critical decisions in a high stress situation and always willing to stay and answer every question that i have. Working in the medical field myself we can be the worst type of patient (LOL) but i trust her as well as her office completely. Anytime i had a concern that seemed "out there" Dr Tsai always put my mind at ease. Her Nurse Practitioners are also EXCELLENT: Kathy, Erica and Wimonrat. They have each helped me at some point and i am even fine with just seeing them for my routine check ups because they are that amazing. The OB/GYNs are FANTASTIC but the receptionists have been rude every single time I've visited or called. They're rude, condescending and extremely irritable. Our first visit took half an hour for us to be seen because they came back from lunch late and were too busy talking and eating to check in patients. When speaking on the phone on more than one occasion, they've been condescending and rude and have hung up on me more than once when I'm just trying to ask questions. They would not allow me to speak to my OB/GYN and insisted that I must give them my personal information and tell them my health concerns instead which was super uncomfortable and not okay. They also went ahead and scheduled an appointment without my knowledge or consent and then got mad at me when I said I wasn't available that day. Unfortunately, after my recent experience with them, I'll no longer be going to this practice and urge others to do the same. read more

4/52025 After 3 years (I believe) I finally got my check up done today with Dr Tsai. Front staff was ok. The gal on the right wasn't so nice. She was rude. She asked if I did my paperwork I told her yes and she asked if I brought it and I was ant confused. I didn't know I had to bring along paper work. I just thought I had to fill out via text/website. Then she tells me, "that's a different one" and gave me a look like I'm incompetent. LOL Then she tells me to buy booties on (I guess they don't want you to bring germs or whatever which is cool i thought. Proceeds to put 3 pairs almost throwing them on the counter and then closes her window ... LOL and I'm thinking ok... am I supposed to take all of them ... she notices then she opens her window and said "take only 1 pair" then closes her window again. At that point I'm thinking ok, are you alright ? Are you hating life ? Just be nice. I'll show you how If you want.... LOL SMH Anyways moving on .... Dr Tsai came in like 5 minutes to the room I was in. She walked in with a medical assistant I'm guessing ? Idk she didn't introduced herself. I felt a little uncomfortable she was there. Today's visit made me miss my Old OBGYN's. They've bothered retired that's why I had to look for another provider. They were so caring and the staff was top notch. Can't find those anymore I feel like. I felt a little rushed at my appt. But whatever. Dr Tsai was ok and I'm satisfied. She answered all my questions she was caring enough to give me information about my health. Overall visit was fine. read more

I have been going here since 2010. I probably originally found Dr. Tsai on Yelp. I waver between a 3-3.5 star for this place but I'll round up since Dr. Tsai helped with the birth of my son. Back when she was the only doctor, her now ex husband was the office manager. He was awful. His billing was always behind. I swear he billed me for my son's birth three years after he was born! Like what?! He was super rude too when I tried to question it. Anyway now that she has other locations and more staff, it's not as bad. The wait wasn't long the other day but I've waited over an hour for my appointment before. I always ask for first appointment or last appointment of the day. If you want a Saturday, you won't find anything unless you ask for something 13 months out. I haven't seen Dr. Tsai in over 3 years but her NPs are friendly and easy to talk to. Also she seems like she has new office people (even the almost rude nurse lady is not there and she was there for years) and staff. It still is weird putting booties on your shoes because they don't want you to trek in outside germs. It's also weird that she sells all kinds of weird beauty treatments. It almost feels like when you're at your lowest and being super pregnant, get this treatment to look beautiful again?! Not my thing but hey I guess if you're okay with that. I am lazy so I haven't switched and since she brought on her NPs, it's easier for me to find an appointment time. I do like Dr. Tsai but it's not necessary for me to see her (maybe because I'm not pregnant). read more

I switched to Dr. Tsai at Oahu OBGYN after some annoying experiences with my previous doctor. Dr. Tsai is everything I want in my gynecologist - informative, listens to me, understands my worries/concerns, friendly, etc. I recently gave birth this May and she coached me through the birth with concise firmness, which I absolutely needed, and I was able to push and birth my baby (without pain meds/epidural) in a relatively short time frame. If you're looking for a new doctor, I cannot recommend her enough. read more

First time here and saw Dr. Leung who was super nice and friendly! I'm always nervous whenever I go to the doctors but she really made me feel safe and comfortable. When I called to make my yearly appointment I was asked if I was vaccinated, in which yes I am, but I asked why? I was told the Physicians and nurse practitioners are not seeing unvaccinated. I was shocked to hear this Discrimination statement. Health care has to stop because you are not vaccinated??????? This is not the Aloha spirit! I've been seeing Dr Tsai for over 10 years and I was so disappointed but more saddened at this decision. Health care should not stop because people don't want to get vaccinated. Location: This office is located on Kakala St in the new Mehana community in Kapolei. It is directly across the brand new park in Mehana. Parking: There is street parking here, but beware the signs will advise you where there are no parking areas. The office also advises you of what stalls are designated for the office. Office: Gorgeous, new, stylish, modern, clean and beautiful. Spanking new, and the floors are gorgeous. Front desk ladies made me feel very uncomfortable. It felt as if they were judging me. It's literally their job NOT to judge especially working in a department like OB. Changing my OB after my last visit. Also, you will never see Dr. Tsai, only her nurse practitioners. However, Wilo the NP is very nurse and super helpful. She's the only staff member who made me comfortable. Even the medical assistant who checked me in was not very welcoming. read more

Kathy gets a 5. She is very gentle, thorough, tells you exactly what you need to know with great bedside manner. It is awkward walking in the bathroom with no shoes, no lock on the door. The front staff are impatient and abrupt but not rude. They don't assist more than is required. The wait is up to an hour for your appointment. read more

Love this place! Once you get in the office you take off your footwear which makes it feel like home :) staff is also friendly, they make you feel very comfortable. Parking is free. First time taking my 16yr old daughter to Oahu OBGYN at the Mehana location and it was a very unpleasant experience for me. Their staff is unprofessional and rude. I was in their lobby/waiting area inside filling out all my daughters paperwork to be seen and as soon as I was finished the receptionist had me and my 8yr old daughter wait outside in their waiting area on the porch. After about 10 min waiting in the sun (I didn't want to go far because my phone was dead) my younger daughter was getting really hot and we noticed that nobody else had entered the building. So I walk back in and ask the receptionist, Cheryl, if my daughter and I can wait inside with the AC since no one else was in there and we could leave if any other patients came in and she told me No we had to wait outside. So I asked her if I could go in the examining room with my minor daughter and she kept telling me that we had to wait outside the building. I was upset and asked her why she was giving me such a hard time when I was JUST sitting in there earlier. And she said "because COVID" all while she wasn't even wearing her mask. Then she turned and proceeded telling the girl working next to her everything I just said and they both start laughing out loud. So rude as if I wasn't sitting right there with my daughter and they think that I can't hear anything behind the plexiglass. Then she can clearly see that I'm upset and then allows us to wait inside but tells us we need to leave as soon as another patient walks in..which is EXACTLY what I said in the first place! So unnecessary! To make matters worse is every time I looked in Cheryl's direction she was giving me stink eye. Such a bad experience. And guess what? The whole time we were waiting inside nobody else came in! So we would've been waiting outside for over an hour. I hope no one else has to experience this too especially if you're kupuna cause who wants to be sweating in the sun for over an hour! And Seriously, who refuses to not allow the parent to be present in the room of a minor child during an exam? read more
