My family and I recently dined here and unfortunately left disappointed. We waited about 30 minutes for our food, which seemed unusual given that the restaurant was not particularly busy. From our table, I could actually see my chicken sandwich sitting in the service window for quite some time before it was finally brought out. When the food arrived, the sandwich, fries, and cheese were all cold. I politely asked for the meal to be remade and inquired whether it would take another 30 minutes. Our server said they would get it out quickly and explained that they were busy. However, looking around the dining room, there were only a handful of occupied tables and two servers working. Several nearby tables were simply having drinks, so it was difficult to understand the delay. What was most disappointing wasn't even the cold food--it was the lack of acknowledgment. A simple apology or some communication about the delay would have gone a long way toward improving the experience. I understand that servers aren't responsible for cooking the food, but they do pass the service window regularly. If food has been sitting under the heat lamps for several minutes waiting on other items, someone should be checking on it or having it remade before it reaches the customer. We were hoping to add this restaurant to our list of regular dining spots, but based on this visit, it unfortunately didn't make the cut. read more

We had a reservation for Oak and Stone for a large party, and they had us seated outside with three servers helping us out. We all sat down and had our orders taken. It could have been a busy day, but our service was so slow. It took forever for us to get our food, to the point where we thought the order just was not placed at all. The food itself was also not impressive. The salad was basic. The Farmer and Pig pizza was not very cohesive with the flavors. The pizza that was worth it though was the Clucker. The food was top notch! we started out with bourbon sticky wings and they were very good. Great flavor and perfect starter to share. I haven't had a pizza that good in years. The sweat heat was a 10/10, crust was perfect and the flavor was perfection. The outdoor patio was a vibe, great music and march madness on the tvs! We had a lunch at this location about a week ago. We were seated without difficulty. We then changed our mind and moved to a seat at the bar. Not a bad spot but a little small. The bartender was ok, not a big personality but seemed like a nice guy. We ordered a pizza and biscuits and gravy with eggs. The biscuit itself was good, the gravy was different and the egg was normal. My pizza was really good mostly enjoyed the crust, it was unique and tasty. I think in this review the only reason I gave it three stars was because the overall ambience, seating, sound, personalities, etc seemed slightly off and uncomfortable. Hey this might be a great spot for some who might see things differently than myself. The food wasn't bad, but I was disappointed because the real reason we originally decided to stop in was because of the beer soup I remembered from 2 prior visits awhile ago. Oh well. They have glassware and even tiny glasses and racks available to make your own flights. Cons - the flavor on the wings were good but the meat was dry and overdone Great place to hang out with friends on a weekend. Tried it again tonight and I wish I could give the food zero stars. Had the wings and pizza and the wings have definitely been changed in the last year. The buffalo sauce was overly salty with zero other flavor or spice, the wings themself were gross and soggy. Skin undercooked. First sit down visit...have never seen the menu....Def "bar food" so I decided on the pizza - ( farmer & pig ! ) - I'm guessing the food is quality...but the pizza was excellent. It literally has a "crunch", so that was kool. Very limited on the described topping - which I have learned that the definition of artisan really means "less" topping...lol. Enjoyed the fact that they serve coke instead of pepsi...but $5.00 for a glass seemed pricey despite the fact it was bottomless. Went here for lunch at UTC because of the reviews I had read about the wings. This is a small location. Server was also the bartender and he was terrific, friendly and clearly enjoyed his job. Gave us suggestions. I went with the mango habanero wings and wife went with a pizza. The wings were ok, flavour was good, maybe a bit hotter than I wanted but the wings were a bit dry and chewy. My husband and I stopped into Oak & Stone after a morning of running some errands around UTC. We had Ali as our server outside and she was extremely friendly and provided great service! We both chose to do the beer wall for drinks and she was able to set us up with the bands quickly. We chose to just do some light snacks before a heavier dinner later in the day. The wings were amazing!!! The sauce on them is delicious, not too spicy, and they have so much meat on them. We also got the garlicky spinach dip which was also tasty. The beer wall pricing is pretty well priced considering it contains a lot of locally sourced beers & breweries. Overall we enjoyed our visit & meal at Oak and Stone and we enjoyed the staff making our experience a great one. What an amazing concept of beer on tap!!! Came here with my family and we all participated in trying beers from the beer wall. I wish more places adopted this concept because not only do you get to taste so many different beers, you also end up paying such a low price because you're being charged by the ounce! Our waitress and other staff all helped pick out food and gave us a rundown of the beer selection. We ordered a few apps to try out and a couple of pizzas. You are charged by the ounce, so it's nice to get to taste things without committing to a whole glass. You also can grab a full glass if you find something that you love! Went here after having a fun event near the park. Entered without a reservation and was told there was a 20 minute wait, which I didn't mind. However, after 5 minutes waiting outside, I was told my table was ready. A friendly server took my order. While I knew the self serve drinks was the gimmick here, I decided to go with the suggested lavender lemonade (9 dollars), which was a nice drink, but could have used more vodka as it was on the lighter side. For my main meal, I decided to just have the freezer Caesar salad with grilled chicken (13 dollars) as I wasn't in a mood for their pizza. The salad was nothing fancy, but had good amount of lettuce, chicken, and Caesar dressing. It filled me up. For dessert, I took home the banana foster cheesecake (7 dollars), which was good with the caramel sauce, but didn't notice any bananas on the cake. Service was friendly, but it did take some time to get the dessert and bill. The atmosphere had a lot of tvs and beer decorations, and I think there was outdoor seating as well. The TV's were mostly playing the live football games. The music was mostly inoffensive rock music. Overall, it is a nice place near the University area for drinks and food. This place is awesome!! Gotta have the fungi pizza - it's absolutely perfect - I do add extra cheese. Next time I'd also add the ricotta whip + tomato, but honestly the pizza on its own is a great. Also, for you dry champagne people, like myself, they had a self-serve draft of a light strawberry seltzer - it tasted lovely and was beautiful in my glass! Good stuff! Definitely do this!
