Early afternoon and I landed here instead of a coffee shop. A full bar, a dozen beers on tap and a variety of cans/bottles available. I took a seat towards the back where I was able to plug in my electronics and a lovely bartender took my order. I spent the next two hours with my beer and their Internet, watching a couple play some pool and while I tried hard to ignore the smell of cigarettes from folks sitting *just* outside. Linksters is a fun and friendly place. They missed on getting 5 stars, simply because they do not serve food, which is a pretty big negative for me. You can order out from there, or bring your own, but no food served there. The bartenders are friendly, and event though busy, took time to chat with us. A very full bar, with about 10-12 good beer choices on tap. They also have non-stop trivia, using the TapTV phone app and the TVs in the place. read more

My coworkers and I decided to go to Linksters after work today. I didn't even get into my first drink when the bartender started picking on me. Talking so much shit to me that I left in tears. I was making my inside jokes with my friends having a good time and he came up to me with a remote. Pointed it in my face and kept saying "mute mute" "does this thing work? Will you ever shut the fuck up ?" "Your friends must hate you." "Like seriously do you shut the fuck up?" (I wasn't even talking ) told me "If you keep eating your salad will you shut up and stop talking ? " ect. Kept just talking shit to me. (I was literally just sitting eating a salad ) next to my friends. I proceeded to try and take it lightly and was very confused and taken off guard, because he was so serious. Told me I would look better if I shut the fuck up and put my foot in my mouth" (I wasn't even or ever talking to him .) He just randomly started at me. Told me that I was ugly and that if his wife was ever pregnant with me that he would push her down the stairs to abort me. At this point I was like okay please close my tab and I left . My friends stayed behind to close their tabs but the cruel gruesome things he said to me (all not stated ) had me in actual tears. When my friends found me again. They Told me that he laughed and "got off on it" saying, "he's done it to 5 other people today " and, "can't wait for my white ass Yelp review. No food, biggest drawback. They have dirty trivia on Thursdays. It's crowded often. Drinks are decent. The location would probably not work fir a food truck. read more

I'm giving a 1 star review because of the Bartender named Nikki, she was so unbelievably inappropriately sexual with my boyfriend and he feels sexually harassed, once more, she was a complete atrocity at the bar. She embarrassed all of her coworkers. I honestly feel bad for her, but I want to prevent anyone from having her terrible bar service. Not a bad place for drinks and watching the game. It's mostly outdoors, which is nice when weather isn't too warm. The bar is located in the Cooper Creek shopping center by the water fountain. It makes for a nice outdoor experience. The trouble with it is if you're non-smoker, you need to not mind the smoke bc some drinkers like to smoke. Overall, it's a nice local watering hole... This place deserves 2 stars rather than 3 because: -it's very very smoky & stinky -ZERO eye candy (gals & guys), as in NONE, NADA... But I was generous w the extra star because: -there is nowhere else for people to chill & grab a drink in a casual environment around here!!! yeesh -there are 2 pool tables so you can get up & do something besides sit there drinking in a smoky room -some kind of jukebox w current music (RIHANNA!) -there is an outdoor area where you can see a little fountain... and a parking lot - yeh -right next to a Bonefish so when that place shuts down at 10pm (totally lame) you can hop, skip & jump your way to this lovely bar I was w fun people so I had a good time. Matt here. I've been in Sarasota for some time now, and I've been at this bar when it was busy and very very slow (me being the only person). I've never seen better service, bar community, and even the manager communication! I would like to personally thank Johnny, Kasey, big jimmy(the door guy), Natalie and Tim for my wonderful experiment. This five star was sorely off the fact of me watching how they treated not only me but all of the customers. Nothing but respect, forward communication, and great service to the whole bar. I can't believe I had to ADD Linkster's and that no one else has ever reviewed it. When I lived in Sarasota this place was my cheers. I'm not kidding you when I say that I was here like 5 nights a week - and to watch football on the weekends. This was MY place. The bartenders were cool, my friends were always there, the drinks are good - GET A SNOW CONE SHOT! mmmmm, and there's usually a totally random vibe about it. It's got people of all kinds and that's always fun to watch. Walking up to Linkster's, I was met with caution tape. I should have known then that this "bar" would not be up to my 5 star standards. To begin, the jukebox would not stop playing Whitney Houston. This normally would not be an issue, however one of the acquaintances I was with is a recovering cocaine addict, and hearing any Whitney Houston song gives her the itch. My bartender was very friendly and may have been attractive if he did not have so many teeth missing. The crowd at Linkster's is quite diverse. I prefer to socialize with the 1% and unfortunately, this is not a bar that the 1% frequent. Linkster's did have a nice variety of beer on tap as well as low-end wine and liquor. To deal with my surroundings, I was forced to take multiple shots and ultimately ended my evening slumped over the jukebox declaring my love for the late Whitney Houston. From now on, I'll stick to the Hyde Park Steakhouse bar. read more

Rude bartenders and bouncers. go to World of Beer instead. I want to give it just 1 star but it will get 2 because of cornhole and pool table lol. Other than that they are awful here. I always give a place 3 tries, and i was treated poorly all three visits. The latest of the three visits, i had been there from 9pm to 2am. I paid for my whole group and our/my tab was $194 ( not including tip). At 15 minutes to close, the bouncer was yelling at me to chug my drink. I retorted that i had spent a good amount of money and left nice tips. I also said that "i cant chug a drink. i will leave before closing but i just cant be forced to chug a drink". This place was pretty okay when it first opened, but the list of reasons NOT to go there are overwhelming: 1- you can actually here people getting lung cancer when you walk in..the cigarette smoke is so bad you would think they have a fog machine 2-mixed crowd of golfers and good pool players and douchebag drug dealers, drug users and disrespectful brat boys 3-pool tables are never kept up and rarely function properly, not to mention there are only two tables and they are way to close together which makes actually shooting nearly impossible and along the same line as the evening progresses this leads to more and more disagreements and tiffs 4-There is never free pool there, so many other places with more room and better tables that offer free pool. Why struggle and pay to play on a horrible table 5- God forbid if you need to use the bathroom...yes I said THE bathroom, it wouldn't be so bad if people were actually just using the bathroom for what it was designed for and not one night stands and drugs. 6-drugs are pretty openly distributed there which causes a lot of the next issue, everyone is so coked up that they want to fight over everything! 7-more fighting over quarters on the pool tables... 8-you also have the jukebox right next to the pool tables and always have a line of youngsters who apparently cannot get into a night club so they come to linksters to get their "rap" on 9-you have not really experienced their customer service until you have been DOUBLE tabbed,and accused of not paying your tab...even though you did and can prove it!! Well boom apparently you all of a sudden have a second tab!! And don't point it out or complain because their "manager" Johnny...will just 86 you for life. which is hilarious...you mean I can't come back in here to be treated horribly and have you steal from me? really? waaaaaaa My recommendation is just avoid it, they don't have food anyway.....whatever appeal they had in the beginning is certainly gone. read more

Saturday night a group of 50 of us we're there to get together for fellowship. Many in our group are combat veterans, some disabled. We were there from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. and spent thousands of dollars and tipped the bartenders generously. Around 11 pm, when there was only a few of us left, the remainder of the group were asked to leave because the bartender said our maga hats we're making the regulars uncomfortable. As the group was getting together to discuss this matter, the bartender called the sheriff! Upon walking up this bar looks very nice. Big TVs a couple of pool tables.. Didn't get a look at the bathroom, but the place looked clean enough. The bar itself was basic. Even though the doors and windows were wide open, inside - it's extremely smoky. Thursday night drink specials were $5 Crown or Crown Apple. $4 fireball. First time here and probably the last. Giving 2 stars for service alone. The ONE guy who served us was nice, but everyone else just seemed miserable. 4 ladies walk into a (almost empty) bar.... And wait to be served. We get bypassed at least twice. Having to watch staff finish whatever they're doing at the computer. Can only imagine what it's like when busy. Nothing special here! read more

Friendly staff. We have been there numerous times in the last couple of weeks and the service is outstanding.

Was told by the bar manager that service dogs are not allowed unless they are a "seeing eye" dog. I had a medical card, service vest etc and explained the Federal Law under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and also offered to sit outside on the patio and was still refused. This place gets zero stars from me!!! It is very smokey the drinks are over priced and they short pour like it is that last bit of alcohol on earth. My friend only had one drink here and got very sick!! The bartenders said she had to leave and made the rest of leave as well for not doing anything.
