I decided to finally give reformer pilates a try after hearing that it's a little easier than mat pilates for beginners like me. I'm hooked! I absolutely love every class that I have taken here. The instructors a great and give suggestions for modifications which my poor old joints need! I struggle a bit with some of the movements but I'm still able to complete each session (and I definitely feel it later!) The space is open and I don't feel like I'm going to collide with the person next to me. This is my third time going and still mixed on Pilates. I went again for a 5:30 pm class and that was awesome on straight 45 minutes no pauses, but again it was constant changes of exercises. It was still a great workout but if you have no idea what you are doing, you are going to get mixed up for most of the class. Anyways this has been my favorite class so far. I love OCP. I am an out of shape fat woman that was very anxious to join a fitness studio. I only found out about OCP from an instructor that posted about it in a Facebook group and she answered everyone's questions and even assuaged a lot of fear from myself and others, so I signed up for her class. And Caitlin is amazing! She has zero judgement and encourages you to do whatever you're comfortable with. She'll offer modifications and additional equipment to assist you if needed. Classical AF is very beginner friendly and while I'm still by far the least flexible in the room, everyone is just worried about themselves, so I don't feel out of place. I did all 3 of my classes for the new member deal and also bought a membership when I finished those. I am still hesitant to take a class with anyone else, so that limits my options because Caitlin only teaches a few times a week. I wish there were more examples of how their instructors teach online or their social media. I also wish they explained more how the classes differ from each other for those of us just trying to get into pilates and back into their fitness journey! read more

I came here for my first class yesterday. The studio in oak cliff is adorable and clean. The group of ladies was wonderful. I can already tell the community here is awesome. I love the new person deal where you can try 3 classes for $25. This is especially helpful as everyone says it takes a few classes to get the hang of things. Will def come back to finish my classes and we'll see about the future of me and Pilates. Thank you for being so friendly and encouraging!!! I've started 2025 by going back to Pilates. It's been my first time since they've moved and it's gotten better! More variety of classes (loving the strength and flexibility class), better parking (use the underground garage right next door), more classes with earlier and later start times. The vibe and aesthetic is still the same which I love! This is a place I always look forward to being every week! Hope that doesn't change! read more

I have been a member of OCP since around April. I had been to their old studios that were damaged badly in one of those crazy Texas storms. This new space serves them well. Its conveniently located near Bishop arts with street parking, and a parking garage! The inside is still bright and airy, but it feels more industrial with the extremely tall ceilings and exposed ductwork. My favorite class is the OG reformer. Since my return these past couple of months I have had several instructors. Oliver is a beast. I seriously thought I was in the wrong class when I was in his class one Wednesday evening. I have not hustled that hard in a workout class, much less a pilates class. But I keep thinking of what Oliver said that I have repeated to myself and other friends: no one ever goes home mad after a workout wishing they hadn't done it. He is so right and that got me through the rest of his class with determination. I have been in one class of Zeniea's (Ze), and she is another one that will push you hard. I started following her on IG and she is spicy and does some fun looking workouts on her own free time that I think I am too scared to join. Lol. Luckily with my work schedule my favorite time to go to OCP is taught by Hisako. She is just the sweetest. She makes it impossible to be angry at the hard work out she gives us. She always tells us to smile during classes and that reminds me to have fun. Bottom line - Oak Cliff Pilates is a great place to get your work out on, and no two classes are the same! Their classes/packages are very cheaper than some other places, and scheduling classes on the app is easy peasy! PS - if you forget your grip socks or do not want to wear them feel free to go barefoot! read more

Another incredible workout this week, the staff, the trainers really work you hard and yet I can't deny the results I've gotten from coming here for Pilates over the past year. It's a diverse group of clients--varying in age, shape, size, and experience--but the environment is completely non-judgmental. Over the years, I've dipped in and out of a monthly membership, and I can always feel a difference in my body and mindset when I'm not attending. Now, it's non-negotiable for me. The rates are extremely reasonable, especially for the amazing instructors you get access to. Those instructors are what truly sets this studio apart. They're knowledgeable, passionate, and always eager to customize movements based on individual needs. If you have any physical limitations, just let them know before class starts so they can offer the right modifications. I rely on that support because of a few ongoing issues, which is why I gravitate toward classes like AF Authentic Form, Slow Burn, Jumpboard, Strength & Flexibility, and Restorative. I love that the focus is on listening to your body and going at your own pace, rather than trying to "keep up." The workouts challenge me, but I never feel defeated--it's not about how long you work out, it's about how you do it. I also adore the bright, boho atmosphere at the Oak Cliff location--the natural light, plants, and overall aesthetic put me in a great mood the moment I walk in. I've achieved so many personal gains here: I'm stronger, more flexible, and mentally healthier, and I have more self-confidence than ever. I went to both the uptown and oak cliff locations and I liked it but didn't love it. One instructor was so kind but her routine confused everyone it was like she was trying to make it so intricate to challenge us but it was too much at once. For example we were on our knees with the reformer closing out but holding a ring to pulse the whole time. It was more confusing than challenging. The other instructor had a dope playlist but it looks like most of the clientele isn't used to more strength training in Pilates and the class was super easy. I get her trying to cater to her audience, it makes sense but I had to stop to grab arm weights at one point cause it was just too easy. If you're a Pilates beginner I'd recommend going. More advanced, I'm not so sure. I will say classes differ with instructors so it could be I just haven't found the one most compatible read more

I haven't done pilates in about 6 months and this was a great re-introduction. The studio was easy to find and had plenty of parking available. I booked my class through Class Pass and had no issues when I arrived. The reason I gave a 4/5 is that I didn't receive any instruction when I arrived at the studio. At previous studios, if I mentioned that I was new or hadn't been there before I'd get a quick walk through of the studio and the instructor would show me how the machine works. I did not receive any of this assistance. Fortunately, I knew a lot already so it wasn't a huge issue but was rather odd. The instructor also didn't give the best demos for different exercises so I had to pause to see what everyone else was doing. He was very motivational though! read more

Each instructor is different in their own way which I love because it's their style and approach to pilates. There are beginner friendly classes and classes that are more hardcore.
