Another local bed store sells the same brand we were looking for but was on the high side. Then we called the Sleep Shop. They had the brand we wanted AND at right price. We concluded the purchase of our cabinet bed all by phone. We paid by credit card and were told by Devon we'd get a receipt from one of the delivery guys. Which we did. Personable SERVICE ended then! On the day of delivery (mid morning) we decided to call The Sleep Shop to see if we could get a time frame for delivery since we were not given one. I also asked if the cabinet bed needed to be put together or would it be fully assembled before delivery? Devon not only didn't know these bits of necessary information but conveyed to me in a 'very annoyed' tone of voice that he either didn't care or was too busy to check. The two delivery guys did call us 1/2 hour ahead of arrival..BUT had to be reminded by my husband to please 'mask up' but otherwise they were very nice. The Cabinet bed is perfectly beautiful! But we would not recommend The Sleep Shop because of 'after service' attitude. Sometimes it's better to pay more for BETTER service! (3 stars for the Cabinet bed NOT the service)

However, after going through a 30 day try out and return for refund from a Big Box mattress retailer in Folsom, I became self-educated. We went to Robert at American Mattress in Jackson and told him our current bed status and need for improvement. We settled on a Serta Motion Signature Adjustable King set with two 'twin ex long" Serta I Series Honoree Super Plush Top mattresses. We were in a spot, because the original return left us with only a Queen to sleep on and my wife's mobility was a factor. So Robert arranged for a loaner bed system for us to use until the new mattress/foundation was delivered within a week. His installation crew was very polite and professional even through delivery days presented bad weather and a long steep driveway. As far as pricing and buying local Robert was very price completive with the big box mattress store from the Valley. Robert was very flexible and patience with us and always exhibited professionalism and patience. Now its not and has not been slept on! I would not buy Spring Air or go to either the sleep Shop or the Next in Auburn, their stuff is sub par at best. We picked out a bed, picked frame, picked mattress cover, and sheets. We are converting our office downstairs to a bedroom and the Queen was perfect. After we set up financing, Rick set up delivery for Sunday, five days away. He told us the delivery people would call the day before. That day came and they said it was on order and maybe Tuesday? Monday came and they called and said maybe Thursday? Well, at first Rick said they were waiting for the frame, then a female sales lady said they were waiting for the mattress? It was so frustrating, I couldn't get a definite answer? After waiting patiently for almost two weeks, we had enough! We told them to forget the sale and we cancelled! We actually found an even better bed thru Amazon! Yeah it was disappointing experience, and we really would've been happy to support this franchise. But it felt as if they just wanted the quick sale and didn't want to be truthful in fear that we would just go somewhere else and we did. Now I'm having to warn others and to shop around.
