I moved to the area about a year and a half ago. My hygienist was Mandy. She was great and made me feel very comfortable. I like the sonic instrument instead of the scraping and she does a wonderful job of it. I saw Dr Dahlgren who answered all my questions and gave me a referral for what I needed. She put me at ease and was very knowledgeable answering multiple questions I had.

I believed them, they put the temp crown on and I had nothing but a HOT Tooth left to feel all the pain. The assistants were horrible, did not care if they were wrenching on your mouth, cutting the crap out of your lips and cheeks, did not care if you needed to swallow, just simply did not care at all! Took over 3 hours to place a Temporary Crown that was bullshit anyway. STAY AWAY from this place. They just want the money. Also they told me I would need to get 2 teeth pulled and need implants. Well to my dismay I went to another dentist and they were the BEST, turns out I did not need to have any teeth pulled, just the proper alignment. SO to safe yourself a lot of hurt, time and money. DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST. You will regret it.

After canceling my appointment last minute, I frantically called several local dentists for help. Cambridge Dental Center put me on an emergency triage list and I was in to see Dr. Alex within 24 hours. The staff was so friendly, accommodating, and took great care of me. I had no pain through my procedure whatsoever. Their prices were much cheaper than my current dentist and their customer service was outstanding. I canceled my next cleaning with my old dentist and scheduled my next with Cambridge Dental Center. And the cherry on top was receiving a nice welcome card signed by all the staff. Dr. Peterson is very personable, and does extremely good work. Each time I go in, he always remembers something about my life and asks me how that's going--we talk baseball a lot since he's a Twins fan and I cheer for the White Sox. Much of the staff is the same as when Dr. Shorenstein was there, so it's great to see familiar faces--that combined with the great work encourages me to keep making the long drive back to Cambridge each time I need to see a dentist. But I'm sure glad I don't have to go as often as we shovel snow around here!

Shortly after the procedure I began experiencing severe sensitivity to hot, cold, and even room temperature food/drinks. The pain lingers and I now deal with random throbbing throughout the day. This is not normal and has not improved with time. When I went back to have this addressed, I asked to see a different dentist/team for a second set of eyes. They adjusted my bite and applied fluoride, but nothing changed. I was then told that if it still hurt after two months, it likely wouldn't get better. When I first asked for my X-rays, I was told they typically only send them to another dentist and was encouraged to come back in instead. Now that I've decided to seek a second opinion elsewhere, they sent my X-rays immediately with no attempt to resolve the issue further. The procedure itself was also a terrible experience. The numbing injection was extremely painful and sent a shock through my entire body that briefly left me feeling paralyzed. I have never had dental pain like this in my life, and it has significantly affected what and how I eat. At this point, I am seeking care elsewhere. If you value your health and comfort, I would strongly recommend getting a second opinion before committing to treatment here.
