Dr. Andrew Heinisch and his assistant provided excellent care. They are both very conscientious providers. I highly recommend them.

Note: the clinic is on the third level of a high rise across the street from the Roseville library. There wasn't a lot of signage that I saw when I went there as a new patient. I'm really impressed with Personal Care Dentistry after being a patient at Park Dental for years. The hygienists are lovely people (shout out to Brianne, if I remember her name correctly, she's amazing), and mostly good communicators. I had to get my permanent retainer removed, and they offered a much more reasonable price for the work, including replacing it with a better version. They recently made huge renovations to their clinic (thanks to building equipment malfunction on an upper level), so it's very new and clean. They do charge extra for credit cards, which can be a lot when the bill is so large (as it often is with the lack of dental insurance coverage. At first I fell in love with the convenient location, friendly receptionists, and updated facilities here. But after about 5+ visits, I gotta break up with PCD and their great keurig selection. My experiences have been so inconsistent here. The first time I visited, they said they found some jaw bone misalignment on my X-ray, and referred me immediately to a specialist. PCD's X-Ray/conclusion turned out to be incorrect. Also, during a cleaning, one dentist said that everything looked fine and I didn't have any cavities. But then the next doctor swooped in and was like, "you need a filling". Ugh. Lastly, I needed a thick bite guard made for my TMJ, but instead I received a thin retainer, even though I have straight teeth. The hygienist was even confused by the discrepancies of the notes made by different doctors on my file. Oh, and one time I checked in and was waiting for a little while, when the receptionist called me on my cell phone to tell me I was late to my appointment. I have been a patient at Personal Care Dentistry for many years. I have needed a lot of dental work and I've always received the best of care. The staff is friendly and professional. I most recently had my first implant done. Dr Hunt did the procedure which was painless and so much easier than I had anticipated. I was impressed with the technology used to enhance accuracy. I'm an avid yelp app user and discovered this dentist there. This is my first visit there to work on a small chip in my front tooth from biting on things to open them. For future reference. . Do not use teeth. Use scissors! Check in and registration were computerized. This was quick compared to Metro Dental. It does concern me some what only because if you are like me where you are on medications that these medications don't affect the treatments given. Kyle the owners son quickly sanded down the tiny chip and smoothed it out. No further attention needed. I mentioned a concerned for teeth heaps beginning to show. He didn't push cosmetic procedures. He stated no concern unless it bothered me. Wait time was minimal. . 20 minutes. I did make an appointment for myself and 2 others on the same day. They fit us all in. Relaxing waiting area with coffee and tea service. Bottled water also available. Going back to have $3,000 worth of dental work done for a 15 year old and roommate due to 3 root canals as well as several cavities. This is a preferred location for Delta Dental PPO. read more

It all started out with a simple cleaning and check out one of my lower molars. They are located in the Roseville Professionals building on the 3rd floor, the build looks really old but once you get to the 3rd floor it definitely looks like a brand new building. When you walk in you are always greated by the receptionist by your name! I was told by one of the dental asst. that this office has been updated not too long ago. Everything was spotless, how do I know? I think all new patients gets a tour on where everything gets done. I got the regular cleaning/xrays. The dental hygienist I thought took her time cleaning my teeth which I really appreciated. Dr. Kyle was my dentist and took his time to explain to me on needed repairs. After the visit, they walk you out to the billing/paperwork portion of the visit. I've never had to sit down and go over what was done and how much my insurance did and didn't cover. I thought this was a really good to understand on what you were going to be charged. I've never had that before when visiting the dentist. All in all, I went back and got the needed repairs and all went well. When my children gets older, really soon here I will definitely bring them here! They can usually get you in the same day if early enough. If not the next day, which is really convenient. They also do courtesy call the day before or day before the weekend/holiday to remind about your appt. read more

I think that there are three things that everyone needs to find when you move, but are also so hard to find: 1) Hair place 2) Dentist 3) Doctor Having moved to Minnesota in June and then finally having a permanent spot in the Twin Cities to call home (instead of the in-law's basement) it was time to find a new dentist. The dentist is one of those places you go never really wanting to go, but you kind of have to. A really terrible dentist can make that experience so miserable, but a great dentist can make it not so bad. Even before I arrived I was impressed with them. They had all the new patient paperwork online for you to fill out. Seems silly to praise them for that, but I hate writing forms. Plus it saves you time when you arrive. The office itself is very nice, new, and clean. I was given a little tour of the office by my hygienist and I was very impressed. The waiting area was also super warm and welcoming. It felt more like waiting at a spa than a doctor. The cleaning and check up were great. My hygienist was thorough but not overly pokey. I really hate it when they jab the pick in your gums and then yell at you about your gums bleeding. None of that here. The dentist was also super friendly and quick. I really loved how there was no pressure for anything either. I've been to some nightmare dentists who push things on you. I brought up how in the past a dentist wanted to take out my wisdom teeth because "they are a pain to clean" despite me telling them I had major oral surgery as a kid to avoid having them taken out (and to make room for all my teeth). The hygienist explained that is really unnecessary and the sign of a bad dentist. She said you put in the work to keep them, so we will put in the work to keep them in too. 1. Dr. Kyle Hunt is bad at skills. He did root canal and crown for me and it has been proved to be a disaster. Whenever I see other doctors and dental specialist, they all said the root canal and crown that he did is terrible and will cause serious issue. 2. They made the switch from my last dental office seamless (my dentist closed his practice) and took care of every detail. Great experience with dentistry service but I would prefer they did not charge a 4% swipe fee on my HSA debit card. I understand that credit cards charge a swipe fee to the business, but generally a debit fee is less and really is a cost of doing business. It costs me .50 cents for my bank to print up a check plus the stamp to mail it and I would not ask that my bill be reduced .50 for the fee I'm charged to pay by check. read more

I've been away from the dentist for a couple of years and needed to get back into the routine. Found a few places on Yelp in my area and PCD had a couple of good reviews, so I made an appointment. My first visit was for x-rays and basic exam. We talked about options over and above the cleaning. When I left I was given an estimate and my costs relative to my insurance coverage. As it turned out the charges were lower and my portion was lower too- great!! I visited Dr. Hunt today after being concerned about some discoloring I was having. Being new to the area, I randomly picked a dentist from Google Maps, and what a choice I made. My appointment came about half an hour after I called, with little wait. I was warmly greeted when I walked into the professionally delightful office. After being brought back to a chair my hygienist, Megan, did a wonderful job of taking care of my needs and addressing my issues at hand. She cleaned my teeth (which hadn't been done in years) and kept up a genuine conversation between having my teeth scraped clean. Unfortunately Dr. Hunt found two cavities, and recommended having them filled. Instead of giving me silver fillings, he offered me "tooth" colored ones for the same price after acknowledging I am a student, and having pretty nice chompers. I'm already headed back early next week to have the work done, and unless I have any life altering experience, I believe I have found my new dentist. read more

She also keeps me updated on what I need to do and how I can stay on top of my dental health. I had a good experience but the only reason why I gave it four stars and not five is that I really would've felt more comfortable if they explained mission of my teeth and any issues directly to me. So to say that I hated the dentist was an understatement. I called at 7am with a minor dental emergency. The women at the front desk were nice, and listened to the problems I was having, and I was told to come in right away. After arriving I was greeted with smiles and a gift bag was handed to me for coming in. I had to fill out very little paper work, and while I was doing so I was called back to the room. I had no appointment and a wait of maybe 10 minutes? After going back to the room I was again greeted with smiles and TRUE concern. I have very bad teeth and expressed this to Dr. Hunt. He made me feel as though I was a human and not just another "patient" he truly cared and had true concern for the matters going on. Again with no appointment Dr. Hunt had started my root canal to get me out of pain. I left with a smile on my face. This will be my dentist for the rest of my life. After a pretty horrifying/unpleasant experience at a dentist's office when I was in my teens, I may have maybe... stopped going. I had zero interest in ever seeing a dentist again, frankly, and even after going with Jenny on one of her appointments and witnessing the level of care here... I still didn't want to go. In fact, it wasn't until Jenny begged me with her cute little twinkly blue eyes at the receptionist's desk that I ended up begrudgingly agreeing to come back for a cleaning. That's when the nerves set in. Oh, yes; chuckle now. Chuckle at how funny it is that I was nervous about having my teeth cleaned, but consider this; the last time I had the same procedure done (NOT AT THIS DENTIST) both the hygienist and I were literally covered in my blood after nearly two hours of her cranking on me with a hook. My gums separated from my teeth so much that I could move the sections that went up between my teeth freely, as if they were nearly unattached, for two weeks afterwards. And that wasn't even the worst part of the adventure. But I digress. Anyway, I came in for my appointment and was greeted with a smiling, warm face by the lady at the front counter. She checked me in, handed me a gift bag full of goodies(including a hand-written personalized card), and I went off to tremble like a chihuahua in the waiting room. The hygienist, Kari, came in (the same one Jenny had... I was glad to see a familiar face) and I prepared for the ensuing bloodbath. We chatted/joked for a while and she checked out my teeth to see what she was working with. The X-Rays went smoothly (she even had another technician press the button to make it go faster since I have the worst gag reflex known to man) and I felt myself relaxing a little. It turned out that I needed a debridement before I could get a basic cleaning. She took the time to talk to the office, figure out the cost and describe what she was going to do. I cringed. I knew the tartar exorcism was soon to begin. I could see her grabbing some tools and I braced myself for that old familiar hook when... she pulled out some odd looking thing and explained that it used water and vibration to do the job. ... I have no idea if those tools didn't exist seven years ago or if my other hygienist was just a sadist, but I found myself oddly relieved. During the cleaning, she was: - Extremely meticulous. - Considerate (not asking "ARE YOU OKAY?" every three seconds but still very much paying attention to my facial expressions and such). - Funny and personable--able to joke one minute and then completely focus on scrubbing the barnacles off my teeth the next. When all was said and done, I... wasn't covered in blood. And neither was she. And my teeth felt... clean? The dentist, Dr. Baylon, came in and checked out my teeth. She proceeded to compliment them which made me feel awesome and discuss a battle plan for the handful of small cavities I have. She was very realistic, polite and very gentle when she was prodding around at my gums. When it came time to check out and handle the payment, the "other Kari" (though I don't think it's spelled the same) was very polite, funny and laid out explanations for procedure costs and whatnot. I got a good discount for paying in cash, so... keep that in mind. I left feeling confused but oddly excited to return in a week to complete the basic cleaning we scheduled. I went back today and got the same warm smile from the front desk. Kari was, again, EXTREMELY meticulous with cleaning off the rest of the residue on my teeth (instead of just overlooking an area if it seemed a little questionable, she would re-clean it until she was satisfied with the result), very gentle and generally pleasant. She is a wizard. ... Yes, I even told her. That's a high honor, you know. It was absolutely 100% painless and... actually kind of fun because my teeth now feel smoother than oiled-up glass. I made my next cleaning appointment for August without a slight amount of hesitation. I'm in love with this place and I've chosen to make it my mission to tell everyone I know about it. Quick note: AS OF THIS WRITING: the office is undergoing a huge renovation and, as such, is in a heavy state of construction. Don't be surprised to see boxes of floor tiles or what have you laying around when you come off the elevator. This construction has in no way effected the cleanliness of the place itself, so don't be put off by it. read more

For a very long time I needed a root canal but was stalling because I couldn't muster the courage (I know..). Finally, after many research and reviews I held my breath and went for it. OMG!! I'm kicking my behind for not doing this sooner (even the reception was super friendly when I called to scheduled). When my appointment came, I met with Nancy and Dr. Kyle for my consultation. They were very professional, listened to what I had to say, and we decided on a treatment plan. Two days later, I went in for my root canal. I was offered blankets and headphones to ease the anxiety and I took it! The procedure was smooth and stress free. Dr. Kyle offered to explained everything he was doing but I just wanted to get the tooth done and over with so I told him it wasn't necessary. Overall, I'm very satisfy with my experience. read more

I've been seeing Dr. Hunt and his staff for more than 20 years! He's far and away the best dentist I've ever had and I hope he never ever retires. I appreciate that Dr. Hunt is conservative in his approach and never does any work that is not necessary. On two separate occasions I've gone into his office expecting a big procedure, only to have him say, "I'm very sorry we brought you in here for nothing." I went here mainly because of its location. The staff is nice enough and Dr. Hunt senior is great. I changed my review mainly because of the comparison between this place and my new dentist in terms of accounting. Here, for some reason there would always be a bill or extra charge for something I wasn't made aware of. Pay for a crown or something one day and the next time there would be some residual again etc. They say it's insurance and such but I just thought it happened fairly often. Haven't had the problem again after switching dentists and my current one is not even deemed "in network." The offices are nice enough, but again there a few things that make it sub par, and I couldn't have put it better as to describe it as two stars for Yelp that describes it as "meh. I needed a lot of work done, 8 fillings, and full scaling. By the time I was half way through receiving my care I was over my fear completely. Kerry, is a wonderful dental hygienist who truly cares about her patients. My experience was so good, I decided to get Invisalign. I worked with Dr. Teo and had a wonderful experience! I had previously been at a small practice for my entire childhood, and Personal Care Dentistry was the first one I'd been at other than my childhood dentist. I had a bit of trouble finding the place (my fault for only glancing at directions before I left) so I was running late- a receptionist called me to see if I was coming, I explained I couldn't find the place, and she gave me directions to help me. Right away- super helpful. Upon entering the floor of the office I was very impressed, everything was clean and fresh. I was greeted by name by the front desk staff, and while I was filling out my paperwork electronically (which I enjoy over paper) the receptionist offered to get me coffee or water, which they have in the waiting room. Once finished with the paperwork, I was given a gift bag that had some goodies in it! Excellent job of making me feel comfortable, especially since going to the dentist is often the opposite. Once my paperwork was processed a hygienist named Tiffany greeted me, gave me a tour of facilities, and gave me some history of the office (the pictures in the office are all taken by one of the dentists practicing, for instance) and settled me into my chair to be worked on. I was getting a consult and cleaning, after not having been to the dentist for way too long. Tiffany explained every step of what she was doing along the way, gave me tips to prevent the problems I had accumulated, as well as her own experiences. She was very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. The equipment they have seems very up to date, from some of the tools Tiffany used to clean my teeth to the x-rays they showed me. The dentist who saw me, Kyle Hunt, seemed to be very busy that day, but sometimes that is unavoidable. He was very friendly as well. He affirmed what Tiffany had guessed I would need, and explained some of the things I would need to get done in greater detail. Overall I have to come back for quite a bit more work. At the end of my appointment I met with an accountant who broke down the costs of all the work I needed, and preplanned it with me so that it would be workable within my insurance limits. She set up another appointment for me at that time as well. I look forward to going back to Personal Care Dentistry to improve my health, and am glad I found such a great practice on the first try! read more

The staff was very professional very nice ladies, but this Dr. that i saw did not have a clue what he was doing, i kept having to tell this guy stop busting on my bottom lip, he ripped my mouth up trying to get my tooth out, after 3 or more hours on the dental chair he still did not remove my tooth in its entirety. I will never return to this Dental office again in my life, just for the record he performed like a dental student. My sister recommended Dr. Hunt, and I am so glad that I finally took her advice. I have had a lot of dental work performed, and have visited several local dentists in an effort to find my permanent dentist. My search is now over! My first visit with Dr. Hunt was on an emergency basis, and they fit me in and took great care of me. He and his team were professional, kind, timely, and HONEST... honest about the service needed for my current emergency and honest about those services needed to address my other dental issues/concerns. Having already received a comprehensive dental treatment plan from another local dentist, my emergency visit with Dr. Hunt also served as my "second opinion" for the additional treatments recommended by my prior dentist. And, I am so glad I sought that second opinion from Dr. Hunt! Rather than the $30,000+ treatment plan received from my prior dentist (this in addition to the $10,000+ already spent), the fees related to Dr. Hunt's initial plan were SIGNIFICANTLY less, while still addressing my dental issues/concerns. Rather than swindle me out of money for unnecessary procedures, Dr. Hunt gave me an honest assessment of what I needed, which will result in a great smile! Throughout my life I have had very negative dentist expiriences, whether it was from getting work done on my teeth or not being able to help me due to lack of funds. THIS office however completly changed my view of going to the dentist. Not only is their staff friendly and welcoming but so helpful. I have recently graduated from college and moved out here away from home and because k work for americorps I have very little money and no dental coverage. I recently went through the most painful expirience in my life due to a tooth with an infected nerve in need of either extraction or a root canal. I could not pay for a root canal, so they sat down for over two hours calling non profits, and other dental offices trying to find someone to help me. They find a way I could afford a tooth extraction and got me in asap. I've never been so greatful in my life. If you EVER need anything done dental wise I highly suggest going to them, because even if they can't help you they will find someway or someplace else to help you. read more
