I have used Oak Lawn Florist on several occasions. I used them recently for a family wake. I have always did everything over the phone with them. Their staff is always super friendly and helpful. They really listen to your wants and needs. The arrangements they sent to my nephews wake superseded my expectations. It was beyond beautiful. The arrangement lasted a long time. My family said out of all the arrangements they received the one I sent lasted the longest. There prices are very reasonable. I will definitely be using them again! read more

I ordered flowers for my grandparents 65th anniversary - it was a very specific order - gardenias floating in a glass bowl. I was told they would check and see if they could get the gardenias in time because they had to be special ordered. They called back and told me no problem, they would have them delivered Friday morning. They took my payment and delivery information. Saturday morning I get a call from my grandparents that they didn't receive anything. I call the shop only to have them tell me they couldn't get the gardenias but they left me a message yesterday ( the day they should have been delivered). I never received a message or got a call. I asked why they confirmed that they could do the delivery if they couldn't get the flowers. They told me the girl on the phone must have lied to me. Completely unprofessional and disappointing. Nice little shop, never been there before. I had about a dozen vases I didnt know what to do with, and I took them to OLF to see if they wanted them. They ended up taking them, and giving me a little cash too. They just landed me as a new customer. read more

We placed an order from out of state order for local delivery. The delivery location was 1 mile from the florist. The arrangement was delivered on a Wed and by Saturday half the arrangement had to be thrown out. The Gerber daisies were all dead and the roses never opened. In addition, there was a very disproportionate amount of greenery to flowers. We called the florist to inform them and the lack of customer service added to our disappointment. There was an offer to "send a few tulips" but the event has passed and there was no customer service or resolution extended. Overall, it was a $75 disappointment. I have used this florist many times without issue; however, today's experience was extremely disappointing. I had ordered flowers to be delivered for Mother's Day, but they did not arrive as promised. I called to follow-up and request the person delivering be contacted. The woman who I was speaking to thought she put me on hold, and proceeded to speak negatively of me to a coworker. She never did come back to the phone, so I called again. I asked to speak to a manager, and was put in touch with the head florist. I informed her of what had happened, at which point she called me a bitch and told me I could get a refund when she got around to it. I again asked for a manager, but was told to call Georgia who may or may not have time to speak with me. I'll never use this florist again, nor would I recommend them. read more

I ordered a funeral arrangement for my mother. When I saw it at her wake I was angry and mortified. I paid $200.00 for a spray that had 1 dozen pink roses and a half dozen pink daisies with tons of greenery and a few white flowers here and there. More green palm leaves than flowers. It did not even closely resemble the photo they showed me which had a lot of purple and pink flowers with some roses. It was a disgrace and an embarrassment...if I could have removed it I would have. Jewel-Osco could have done a better job for half the price. I will never recommend this florist to anyone. Very disappointed! read more

Very disappointing !! I ordered flowers over the phone . The lady was very nice and understood what I wanted . I drove from ky to the Chicago area for a funeral . At a distance the flowers looked nice but upon closer inspection I was shocked that the requested butterfly ( in memory of my deceased daughter ) was missing also there was dead leaves , the kind that break up when you touch them also ALOT of wilted flowers for $ 125 this was not good . Yes they came out to replace it But and it's a big but ..... told me there wasnothing wrong with the flowers . The new basket is not as full . I guess they didn't expect me to see the flowers . Sad ..... I trusted the person that recommended them . I do not recommend them unless they change their attitude towards their customers read more

Oak Lawn Florist was closed for business the day of the service but so very graciously accepted my order and made arrangements to make and deliver the arrangement when needed. I had my wedding flowers done at Oak Lawn, and they came out to be stunning! My bouquet was gorgeous and intertwined were pearls and rhinestones. It was beautiful. They also did boutonnieres for the groomsmen, with ribbon and sparkle wire which looked amazing. I would recommend anyone to get flowers from here, the price is right and they do a fabulous job! read more
