Birthday flowers sent to my 86-year-old mother were in terrible shape. She did not want me to know how bad they were. She went into the shop with the flowers to show them and was treated poorly. I ordered the premier to make sure they were full and beautiful only to find out they were very old flowers, brown and wilted and not full at all. I am so beyond impressed with the exceptional customer service at hearts and flowers! The Friday before Mother's Day, I placed an online order for flower delivery for my mother-in-law in Orland Park. The dates of Saturday and Sunday were blocked out for delivery online, so I selected Monday. Totally understandable, as I figured the business was slammed over the weekend with the holiday. I was fine with having the flowers delivered on Monday instead of on Mother's Day proper. However, shortly after placing my order, I got a call from Tina at Hearts and Flowers who offered to deliver the flowers to my mother-in-law on Mother's Day instead of the day after as I had selected. I thought this was such a nice gesture and was very welcome! I had also written in the card to my mother-in-law: hope you "had" a good Mother's Day. Ordered these online on Sunday, after business hours, for a Monday delivery for a friend of mine whose dog passed. My friend sent me a picture of the flowers, which turned out even better than the online photo, but I am taking one star off due to their "online processing fee" of $5.00. That's a sure-fire way to lose business or have people shop elsewhere, as there are tons of florists/options in the surrounding areas. I called Hearts and Flowers and the woman I spoke to was extremely friendly, had great customer service skills and helped me select the perfect plant and flower combination. First of all, I must express my sincere gratitude for the beautiful monthly arrangements Heart & Flowers delivers to my 93 year old grandmother on a monthly basis. They're always fresh, beautiful and brings so much joy to her small memory care unit. Secondly, I made the mistake of ordering from "From You Flowers" for my own mother's 65th bday. I ordered my mom's flowers on December 17, 2020 and ther correct arrangement was never delivered. Today is January 10, 2021 and FINALLY my mom received the correct flowers that were delivered by non-other than our local Heart & Flowers shop with a handwritten apology note. My heart is so broken over this! Heart & Flowers had nothing to do with my original complaint towards "From You Flowers" and yet they are the ones to rectify the situation. When I came in to pick up my flowers, the owner greeted me with no mask and made no effort to put one on. This made me very uncomfortable because I am someone who is immuno-compromised and came here specifically to come in contact with as few people as possible. I now have to question the company because she made no effort to follow basic rules, which masks are required in any building in Tinley Park to enter right now. H&F saved our butts. We had a baby shower across the parking lot at Gotto's and the gifts for the three grandmothers didn't show up in time. We called 15 minutes before the store opened and someone answered and saved the day. My husband has ordered flower arrangements from Hearts & Flowers before, and so he wanted to use them again for our wedding, which was on June 16, 2017. Neither of us know much about flowers, so we found their suggestions very helpful when we discussed our budget and pinterest pictures with them. They gave us recommendations on how many flowers to put in the bouquets to reduce the heaviness and bulkiness of them even though it actually meant we'd order fewer flowers. When I had asked about ceremony flowers, they even suggested that I just use a reception head table piece to save more money. We wanted simple centerpieces that wouldn't fall into the food because it was served family style, so we actually used their rental vases and again saved some money upon returning the vases the following day. We really appreciated that they took our budget into consideration and didn't try to push us to buy stuff we didn't need. We were able to make some changes a couple months before the wedding, too, which saved us more money. The flowers themselves were absolutely beautiful. My bouquet had 18 white roses and turquoise-purple dendrobium orchids (I hope I got that right!). Several people complimented me on them, and I'll try to upload a few pictures from guests / my husband of each type. I should also mention that Laura (wedding florist) saw that the weather was going to be really hot on the day of our wedding, so she called me two days in advance to give me instructions on how to care for the orchids on the day of the wedding. A family friend also called back and asked for instructions on how to care for the flowers after the ceremony so that we could get them preserved by another company two days later. Hearts & Flowers let us split up our order, too. My husband and I did a First Look and creative photos before the ceremony, so we needed the boutonnieres and bouquets a few hours earlier than I had originally anticipated. Fortunately, a groomsmen was staying with family nearby, so he was able to pick them up and drop them off in time for pictures. Our only complaint was a minor one that they were able to address. My husband and I paid off the balance a month early. They usually require the final payment 2 weeks before, so I didn't notice right away that the check hadn't cleared. I called them about it, and they were able to cash the check a few days later. I just wanted to make sure we didn't get overdrawn with so many wedding payments at the same time. read more

We have used Hearts and Flowers a few times in the past but they really went over the top in terms of service just recently. We needed flowers for my mom's memorial service and they did a great job in walking us through the options and finding solutions within our budget. The flowers were delivered personally in plenty of time and exceeded our expectations in terms of the size of the arrangement and the beautiful selection of flowers. Then, on the day of the service, despite being slammed with orders for a local dance, they were able to accommodate a last minute arrangement request. I had ordered flowers for a family members wake, I ordered on line thru teleflora , they contracted the work to a local florist, this was my first and last time ordering flowers in this manner. The flowers that I ordered and paid for were not the flowers that were sent. The arrangement that was sent was a disappointment to say the least. The flowers did not appear to be fresh and were wilted. They had the appearance of having been picked up at a local super market/grocery store and put into a plain glass vase. I was truly embarrassed by the flowers that were sent. The florist that sent the flowers, Hearts and Flowers . My expectation when spending 80.00 on flowers is that they should be fresh and look as if they will be around to enjoy for a few days, these certainly did not. What a disappointment read more

The bouquets and centerpieces were beautiful. We added on the delivery service, and they were so great too. Some members of the bridal party were late to arrive at the country club where we got married and Hearts and Flowers patiently waited an hour until everyone was there so they could pin on the buttonierres and make sure everyone was all set.
