I came here around 6 p.m. last night, I gave the receptionist my insurance card, and she even ran it into the machine twice and read through it. Yet somehow my name was still misspelled -- how do you go from Shirley to Sherley? I had to tell the same person twice my reason for coming in, and when the nurse practitioner came in she asked me my reason for coming in and she had a really thick accent that made it difficult for me to understand the already unfamiliar medical terms. What's the point of taking notes if everyone isn't on the same page? The facility is also unsanitary in the sense that the room that I was put into to wait for the nurse practitioner -- the wax paper on the bed was really crinkly and old, you can tell that someone had sat on it before and they never ripped the piece of paper in between patients. After I left the room, no one went in to switch the paper or sanitize anything. It's funny how they have brochures and all encouraging people to get the vaccine, but they're not really taking COVID seriously. Everyone was just hanging out at the front, and it wasn't even busy at 6. I also let my mask down for a second to take a sip of water, and the facility smelled bad -- I was grateful to have a mask on so I don't have to deal with it. After being seen by the nurse practitioner, she ended the appointment saying this was above her pay grade and that I should see a specialist. It felt like a waste of time, they could've told me at the time of check-in that my reason for coming here is above their pay grade, and it would save each other's time. I wouldn't recommend Oak Lawn Immediate Care to anyone in the area looking for an urgent care, and people probably feel similar to my experience as they're not busy on a Friday night. read more

An okay clinic but trust the reviews on the billing they over charge at times. I had an $100 bill but when I go to Southwest Urgent Care down the street In Evergreen Park my co-pay $10 and maybe a bill rarely even then under $50 only been billed twice. I have great insurance UPS, you can Google their insurance. My last time visiting here but they give you your medical records for free so I guess that's an bonus. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST!!!!! YOU ARE BETTER OFF GOING TO A STREET DOCTOR. I went in for a doctors note because of a skin condition that acted up so I could provide my employer with documentation and now have a 500$ bill!!! They nominated unneccessary services that my insurance would not cover and each time that I asked to speak with a manager, they put on a very unprofessional/ghetto woman that has no business in a health office to bully me into saying that I needed these procedures done (Im 28/Male/Athelete) After 5 phone calls of asking for a manager, that was promised to get back to me, I have still not been able to speak with one. I now have recieved a collection notice for that bill for something I did not ask for!!!! The Nurses are terrible the receptionist are worse, and the doctor must have got his degree from a cereal box... By far the worst place ever. Everyone was very rude. First of all, I called them on Monday night to schedule an appointment for Tuesday. They told me they approved the insurance I have, I gave them the ages of both of my boys and myself. They scheduled me an appointment and told me to bring my insurance card. I show up for my appointment, they then tell me they do not accept my insurance and they wont take my boys because they are too young. Mind you my boyfriend got diagnosed with respiratory influenza so I desperately needed to be seen. If they would have told me when i called i would have went somewhere else. THEN..... they call me a few hours later, rudely stating I missed my appointment! Umm no i didn't you people need to get your stuff together and get on the same page. Obviously the lady who booked my appointment doesn't know what she's doing and the rest of the staff shouldn't be so rude. read more

They were very CLEAN AND PROFESSIONAL !!!! Understanding, patient, and EXPLAINED ALL of my concerns thoroughly! They didn't treat me like cattle like some clinics do, as I'm sure most can agree we've been shoved out before getting answers to our concerns matter. I'd come to this place as a primary physician office!!! This is how awesome this place is! They sit down and explain what's going on, and what their opinions are and even give you a referral if needed. Well mannered staff and feels very safe. If you feel you are concerned about your HEALTH PLEASE COME HERE IF YOU CAN'T GET TO A DOCTOR!!! They are like I said VERY CLEAN AND SPACIOUS!! And the doctors nurses and staff have a safe and courteous output. You can tell these people REALLY DO CARE!!! That's why im writing this review. The worst place you can possibly choose. First off, one of the aides had no clue what she was doing. She "weighed" me and added 20lbs more to my actual weight. That is a simple task and she couldn't even do that right. I had to correct her. Then when she gave me the wipe and urine cup to get a sample, she said "pee in the cup then use the wipe for after" which makes 0 sense. Everyone knows that the wipe is for BEFORE urinating. How does she not know something so simple??? And the way she was acting you can tell she had no idea what she was doing. Absolutely no clue. The doctor was just as horrible. Basically said he couldn't do anything for me and had no answer as to what I should try. Was also extremely rude and seemed rushed. This place is trash and I'm surprised it's still open. Maybe it's fine for a quick flu/strep test but I recommend trying anywhere else for something more. read more

I had a really good experience here. By farthe fastest clinic I've been to. They are professional and aren't afraid to prescribe medication when needed. They ate affiliated with Little Company of Mary Hospital down the street. I'm feeling a lot better! read more

The only reason why I am giving them 2 stars is because of the great doctor I saw that day. I had flu-like symptoms and he was very concerned. As far as the staff in the front, they are completely unprofessional. I called originally for a second initial visit to find out how much it would cost up front. The lady mentioned she would give me a call back to check for me and never did. I was checking because I had an appointment scheduled for the next day. Call back to follow-up and the girl went on lunch. I had an outstanding balance that was due and sent the check in the mail. I sent a check to this place and another check to another place. The other place cashed the check, posted in and everything. This place still have not cashed it. I won't be surprised the check is there and no one from the front has even opened the mail. I went here because I was in a panic to get tested for STD/HIV. The place was very dingy and creeped me out and was a place i never even thought about going to. However I gave them the benefit of the doubt. When I was called back for a follow up, I was slapped with a $1300 bill because they said my insurance paid for some of my visit but not all. So I called my insurance company immediately. They told me that who ever entered my information charged them twice for the same treatment. I was told not to make any payments what so ever. I was even instructed to go see another physician. When i went for another follow up the physician didn't sound too sure about my results and didn't even try to educate me on what they mean. I was even told not to inform my sexual partner about my "unsure" status but just question them. WHAT?! Like lady do i have something or not? Then I was told to go to another clinic that will confirm if I have HIV or not. Like what did I come here for if you're uncertain about my results. I was given a list of clinics that didn't even have the materials to test me again. Now I'm stuck looking for another clinic to get another test done. I should've went somewhere else i really regret coming here. I'm very nervous and confused now. Thanks a lot for the help. I don't even if I can for sure tell my partner. NEVER GO HERE! read more

Terrible experience! Came there to get my ear checked out because I've been in bad pain for a few days. They were very uninterested and unprofessional right off the bat. The receptionist was rude and had no attitude that belongs in a healthcare setting. After giving me a tablet to obtain my medical history that kept messing up, I finish and she tells me have a seat. When all is said and done she tells me your insurance isn't showing me your benefits and it's telling me to contact the insurance company. (I have Cigna which I never have issues with!!) I asked her to call them to see why because they're the only urgent care center open and she says we can't call on Sunday's and I can't pay $110 for just visit and after they bill me I can deal with the insurance!!! I also work in the health care field and I know this is a lie and that all insurance has a 24 hr answering service. So aggravated!! I just left and wasn't in the mood to argue. The doctor was rude and asked personally invasive questions completely unrelated to what I was there about. Physically hurt me, twice, looking in my ears because he shoved the otoscope into my ear canal. I am not sensitive and this has literally never happened to me before. Did not examine the sharp, shooting pain I'm having- palpated a different part of my abdomen instead and ignored my pointing out that it was not the right location (also did this over my jeans...). Oak Lawn Immediate Care is the most unprofessional clinic i've ever been to my entire life. Here's why. This past Wednesday I go in with a complaint of joint pain and soreness that has been going on for about a month now. Dr. Morker decides that i need to be on Tylenol 3 to ease some of the pain but can prescribe it just yet because i have to find out from my kidney Dr. if I'm able to take it because I'm on dialysis. In the meantime they take my blood to run test too see if there are any real problem but the results won't be back until 3-5 days. I get intouch with my kidney Dr. and got the greenlight for Tylenol 3 which i call OLIC the next day to let Dr. Morker know he can go ahead and prescribe the meds. The girl that answers the phone says the Dr. Won't be in the office again til Saturday (this is Thursday mindyou), but she'll leave a note for him and after he's checks it, someone will give me a call. So i wait (still in pain). Saturday (two days later) morning arrives and i say to myself I'll give them a little time to get situated before i call them, because it would've been too much like right for me to expect a call from them. So at 11am I call (plenty of time to check my situation) the girl Patricia answers the phone and basically tells me that they have been so busy with other patients that she'll have to check and call me back. I wait and wait. Finally I call them back at 1pm (two hours later) and Patricia answers telling me she forgot to call me back because they've been so busy, but Dr. Morker did state that I needed a note from my Kidney Dr. that it was ok to take Tylenol 3. WTF!! Why wasn't i told that in the first place. Today is a Saturday, i would have to wait til Monday to get a note. What a waste of 4 days in pain and now i need to start this process over again at a new place because of unprofessionalism. Now I question if the Dr. actually knew anything. Something told me to go to a real Hospital. Why can't we give it no stars???? read more

It is unfortunate that i have to give this horrible place even one star!! First of all the exam rooms are shabby and unkept looking. I did not like the " physician" she was extremely ineffective. I later learned that she was not a physician, but a nurse practioner. That is not a bad thing, but I think I should have been made aware that I would not be seen by an MD. Even though I have full medical insurance, I was made to pay in full before I left the premises. I was told that if the insurance paid they would refund my money. I never heard a word from them. FIVE months later I contacted my insurance company regarding another matter and mentioned this claim in passing. I was told that my insurance paid the claim five months ago and that I should have been reimbursed! The CSR person from my insurance was kind enough to call this awful clinc to find out what happened. She was told that they will have to look into this. I have since both called and emailed the clinic and am still waiting for an answer and MY MONEY which they have had for far too long!!! Needless to say don't go here!! read more

HORRIBLE!!! I recently went there because I needed a referral to get an Xray for my knee. Not only is the staff horrible to you but the place is dirty. The walls are covered in dirt and there was garbage on the floor (like the paper wrappings from medical equipment). I was repaulsed. The Dr. literally did nothing to see what was wrong with my knee and wrote me a a referral to get an Xray. He could not even tell me the location of where the Xray would be, he just kept saying accross the street. Well theres a huge hospital accross the street so it would have been nice to get some sort of directions. When I asked the staff if they had a number to call they said no and they do not know the hours either. I finally found where I needed to go no thanks to them. I got my xray done and they did not give me the results. They said they will send the results over to the doctor that wrote the referral. I waited a few hours and tried calling to see when I could schedule another appointment to get the results and they would not answer. I called for hours until finally someone picked up and got all snippy with me about how it takes 3-5 days to get the results and they will contact me. Well if I knew it took that long I would have went to the ER because I can barely walk on my leg. DO NOT GO HERE! They no nothing about customer service and they all seem so miserable. read more

Will be here in a couple minutes." An hour and a half later he shows up and starts tending to other walk in customers. I really hate that I even have to give this place a star. I don't know where to start with this hellish experience. Being that today is a holiday, I called early to ask if I should make an appointment or just walk-in since they accept walk-ins. I was advised to make an appointment and I did, for 12:15. I show up a few minutes early and expected a wait, which is normal as things happen, but here it is at 2:33 STILL WAITING to even be seen by a doctor. I've asked numerous times if they have some sort of estimated time, but all they can say is that they're "a little backed up"...ya think?!?! I have seen several walk-ins arrive after me and be taken back and yet here I am with my restless six-year-old waiting. When I spoke to the manager, if you can call him that, all he said was "she's really cute. She's a good doctor". I could give two sh*ts what she looks like and this place isn't even busy. At all. I don't even want to get started on the attitude of the receptionist/intake person. The nurses are nice, but today has been wasted. So irritating and unprofessional. read more
