    Kids hockey game in action.
    Sven R.

I'm an old man with two young boys and we all love hockey. My eldest of the two boys made the local Colt's hockey team just before COVID. I was thoroughly impressed with the staff and coaches. Everyone here at Oak Park genuinely loves hockey and treats everyone, no matter their skill or lack thereof, with absolute respect and kindness. Now my younger son is here at the rink weekly improving his skills and in the Academy program. Heck, even I've taken to the ice and play the amateur bronze league and I love it. So what about the rink and facility? Well, it's been around a looong time and you can tell. There isn't a huge fancy pro shop, gigantic locker rooms, or a snack bar. What there is though, is a brand new rink put in during COVID that has great ice and very good boards. The boxes are nice and clean. The locker rooms are comfy with new benches and storage. Sure, it's not the greatest rink I've been to but it is a very good rink and facility overall. I've visited all the rinks between San Jose and Santa Rosa and what makes this place different is the great staff, people, regulars, and the new rink. If you're looking to just skate, play hockey, learn some skills, or even just watch, I totally recommend stopping in and giving it a try. Prices are much lower than San Jose, Roseville, or Vacaville and the ice is just as solid if not more so.

Friendly and helpful staff. Learn To Skate for both myself and my children was great. Coaches and staff treat you like family. Coffee Club on Tuesdays is one of my favorite times to be out on the ice. Try hockey for free got my daughter into a sport that has improved her self esteem 10 fold. The memories made here will stay with my family for a lifetime!!!

Ehh idk how I feel about it yet. I see the basic classes and only see about three instructors taking their job seriously & helping kids while another three are on the side making what it seems like a TikTok video. Feel bad that the kids aren't getting the attention the parents paid for & i would've rated it only one star but it's for those instructors who are actually doing their job & not trying to show off.

They really can't afford to buy new skates, bouta catch athletes foot w deez

Don't go there you..Service is not up to par, ran down place, stinks, dirty ..Not even worth a star ... go there for your self you'll know ! Oak park rink not the same as before, like back in the days, y'all suck.

The instructors for the Hockey 1, 2, 3, 4 are great. The ladies really know how to get the little kiddies motivated. They are very patient with them and show tenderness and care. Family oriented place and I highly recommend this place for family activities. Private lessons are also great. take advantage of it because it really helps out.

The hockey shop is small but has enough selection that shopping at a big box chain doesn't really make any sense.

The venue is stunning and it hardly needs any decorations to feel complete. The gorgeous brick wall and string lighting steal the show. It's a perfect open floor plan with space for over 200 guests. The kitchen is tucked away in the corner providing an industrial sink, microwave, ice maker, and fridge/freezer, making it easy to store and prepare food for your event. The bar also includes a beverage cooler, bar sink for washing glasses, and plenty of shelves for storing alcohol. The venue is always cleaned, bathrooms always fully stocked, and tables and chairs provided by Cynthia making the planning process such a breeze. Cynthia is a dream to work with. She is super communicative with times available for picking up and dropping off keys. She provided us with a detailed walk through of the venue before our event, letting us know how to turn on lights and ac/heater unit. She let us know where to find everything we would need. She was so generous with time to set up and break down for our event both times that we've rented with her and we couldn't be more appreciative and happy with our experience each time. I'll always recommend this venue to anyone looking.

No need to drive around or worry about parking after watching grown men dramatically suplex each other for our entertainment. Overall, I'd give the hotel a solid 4/5 for the price. The location was great, the hotel had a nice waterfront setting, and for what we paid, I felt like we got a pretty good deal. However, I have one major complaint: THE ROOM WAS HOTTER THAN HELL'S SUMMER VACATION. The AC was set to 65°F, which I assumed meant the room would eventually become a refreshing little refrigerator. Instead, the room apparently decided it was training for the WWE main event. At one point in the afternoon, the temperature climbed all the way up to 80°F. Eighty. Degrees. Meanwhile, the thermostat was sitting there proudly displaying 65°F like it had personally accomplished something. I began to suspect the air conditioner was less of an appliance and more of a decorative wall ornament. At that point, I was sweating harder than the wrestlers across the street. Aside from the room temperature saga, we had a good stay and enjoyed the convenience of being directly across from the Arena. For the price, I'd stay here again, but next time I'm bringing a thermometer, a portable fan, and possibly a small team of HVAC technicians.

Parking is across the street, which is not far, it's a short walk, but especially if you have luggage makes it less than ideal. Hotel rooms are fine. Price was reasonable. I didn't see anyone dressed like it was a gala event. By the name ballroom it conjures up images of gowns and tux's for me. This area is not the gala event type neighborhood. The entrance works really well for putting up check in tables on each side where everyone has room to get their name badges and then proceed in to the ballroom. Its really big in there. There was a ton of tables set up for everyone to eat or sit and talk amongst themselves. Around the room were the tables for sponsors to set up there goods and presentation materials. Also the give aways. This crowd loves a free little nick knack. A large stage is at the very end of the hall where the raffle items were set up and the company putting on the show was able to address the crowd. The food was shockingly good! Probably the main reason for my 4 stars. They cooked everything in house. I'm not sure if a restaurant came in and used the kitchen facility or if the Ballroom itself has a staff of chefs. Everything was served buffet style. I went with the Chicken that was in a light white sauce. I'm not sure what other meats were served. The veggies were perfect. Even my partner leaned over and said how much he loved the green beans. The night was very nice and they really knew how to throw a party. We had a great time and I believe everyone else did too.
