We used to love going to Micke Grove zoo. We would visit every 3 weeks or so when we lived in Lodi…read more Our last visit when we lived in Lodi had half the zoo closed off for improvements. Fast forward 10 years later, and the wife and I traveled to Lodi to visit Micke Grove zoo, excited to see what improvements they have completed over those 10 years. What an utter and complete disappointment. 2/3rd's of the habitats were empty, not full of shy animals, but completely void of any animals whatsoever. The grounds were very unkempt, and a 1/3rd of what used to be animal displays, including a at one time beautiful bird rotunda have been removed and/or fenced off. Sadly, what was once a very lively, well kept, active animal exhibit now looks like it on its last legs and ready to close down all together.

There's a small zoo within these parts where I was able to see a few animals up close. One of the…read moreanimal caretakers mentioned either the animals' extinction, endangerment, or rehabilitation. Entry requires a minimal fee. The self-tour won't take more than a couple hours. During my visit, the snack bar wasn't opened. It was a pretty quiet atmosphere, and not busy at all. Outside of this zoo, there's a Japanese Garden, picnic sites, outdoor event venues, a golf course, a water park, and therefore some fishing. I missed visiting the Japanese Garden, but it would've been worth my visit. Micke Grove is another broad recreational area. Since the zoo in located inside the grove, there's and initial entrance fee into the multi-acreage park. The drive to get to the zoo goes right, and all the way around several parking lots - look for signage. Visiting here makes for a good random, but leisurely plan.

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience truly broke my heart…read more I enrolled my 3-year-old son in this gymnastics program hoping it would be a positive, welcoming space where he could learn, grow, and interact with other children. My son is autistic, and like any parent, I'm doing everything I can to help him feel included and comfortable in the world. Before starting, I made the staff aware of his needs. Instead of patience or understanding, what we experienced was the complete opposite. The instructors displayed unprofessional and hurtful behavior--making uncomfortable looks, using hand gestures to signal him to go away, and essentially excluding him rather than supporting him. No child should ever be made to feel like they don't belong--especially in a place that's supposed to encourage growth and confidence. Watching this happen to my son was devastating. I understand that not every instructor is trained to work with children who have different needs--but that is exactly why proper training and awareness are so important. If you're going to work with young children, compassion, patience, and inclusivity should be the baseline. I share this so other parents are aware. Every child deserves kindness, respect, and a chance to participate without judgment. I hope this business takes this seriously and invests in educating their staff so no other child or parent has to go through this.

Here's where's it gets fishy at . Today I am came and there is at least 5 of the main games out of service and it's been at least a month for these games there has to be some accountability for the management to have the games serviced and when one goes down bug the heck out of the service company to get them to come down when we pay about ,100 bucks for the passes and all the extra cash that goes with the moment like food these games should always be running, let's pick it up love chuck e cheese but let's get this location going strong not meek and weak much love Stockton California

We were checked on, the place is clean with a crazy amount of kids running around, someone was walking around constantly checking rides and games, and the workers were all friendly. I wanted to leave a review to let them know they are doing a good job. We'll definitely be taking the kids back. On another note, the place is updated with TV's, projection mat, the rides aren't all scratched up and I didn't see anything "out of order".
