A new issue arose at my business this year so I called Oak Ridge Fence & Gate to see if they could assist because I was happy with their work that was done last year. When I called this time, I got Julie on the phone and she requested that we send her photos of the damage via text to which we did as she had requested. My assistant had a conversation with Julie and Julie told her that someone would be out at my business later that day or the following day to look at it in person and give us a quote for repairs. No one ever showed up. No one ever called and Julie never even confirmed she received the texted pictures. So since we heard nothing, we called Julie to follow up and to confirm whether or not she received the text/pictures. She was rambling on about the company moving locations or something like and that they would break more boards trying to repair the job and she eventually declined our job in a very unprofessional way, in our opinion. It sounded more like she had no clue on how to properly fix our problem. We feel in the very least Julie or a representative from Oak Ridge Fence & Gate could have acknowledged us or responded to the text we sent her per her request. We got nothing. No calls, no response, no one showed up. We found this to be highly unprofessional and we don't want to work with a company or a team who lacks communication skills.

She came out the day after we called. Over the phone she presented various ways to repair or install anew fence. We felt like we wanted a cedar fence, but she explained by using pressure treated posts and cross members(the horizontal pieces) the fence should last longer and about $5-6,000 cheaper. The underground marking personnel from NIPSCO took about three and a half weeks to mark the lines. Once that was done Rojas Fencing was here. The workers worked on one of the most humid and hot days. They removed the old fence and installed the new fence in two days. It looks fantastic. We had AT&T out for a repair and the man wanted to know who did the installation. Rojas did an excellent job and left the area clean and neat. I would strongly recommend Rojas for any fencing needs.

I signed a contract on 6/5/2025 for…read morefence repair and also made a sizable deposit which they cashed.They inquired about a permit on 3 occasions and I both called and emailed for 2 weeks. Again on 7-10 when I called to get a date for the project- they again asked me about a permit, which is NOT required on an existing fence. Repeated calls unreturned, unorganized and rude office staff. Finally got me to scheduling on 7-23 asking again about the permit. They CANCELLED my contract and the nasty text message from the owner was simply the icing on the cake. Inquiring about a delivery date was seen as "rude" yet her text which I documented says "check will go out in the mail today. Hopefully the USPS will have it to you by Monday, the 28th. If not, you know how to compliant about it"--- ! She couldn't even PICK up the phone and have a conversation..... buyer beware! The contract I signed says they can cancel at ay time due to any unforeseen circumstances- by any "change orders" MUST be agreed upon in writing by both parties. While their service may be good- their organization (or lack thereof) and office staff and kindness- isn't part of their core values.
