They CANCELLED my contract and the nasty text message from the owner was simply the icing on the cake. Inquiring about a delivery date was seen as "rude" yet her text which I documented says "check will go out in the mail today. Hopefully the USPS will have it to you by Monday, the 28th. If not, you know how to compliant about it"--- ! She couldn't even PICK up the phone and have a conversation..... buyer beware! The contract I signed says they can cancel at ay time due to any unforeseen circumstances- by any "change orders" MUST be agreed upon in writing by both parties. While their service may be good- their organization (or lack thereof) and office staff and kindness- isn't part of their core values. Estimate/Quote: Compared to their competition, Kusiak could do a better job in detailing the work to be done, exactly what would be covered in a nice and detailed package. While this isn't a deal breaker, it certainly does place the homeowner at ease when spending $$$ thousands on a new roof. Price: Very competitive. As I mentioned, I contacted other companies and found a disturbing $5,000 swing between lowest and highest. Kusiak was among the most competitive in their pricing. Craftsmanship: Very pleased with their attention to detail. While they just completed the job this morning, everything appears to be in order and the work appears to be very professional. In addition to their competitive pricing, one of the main reasons I chose Kusiak is their application of a 6' ice & water protection. This is twice what others quoted as most only apply 3'. Warranty: This is what set them apart in my opinion. A 10 year warranty on labor is no laughing matter. Again, almost double the time frame what other companies quoted. Pros: Crew was very diligent in scanning for nails as we have a large GSD. Cons: They could have done a slightly better job of keeping me in the loop when crews were coming/not coming. I found myself calling or texting them to find out the status. While not a deal breaker, customer service can certainly make one feel at ease when your dropping so much money.

A new issue arose at my business this year so I called Oak Ridge Fence & Gate to see if they could assist because I was happy with their work that was done last year. When I called this time, I got Julie on the phone and she requested that we send her photos of the damage via text to which we did as she had requested. My assistant had a conversation with Julie and Julie told her that someone would be out at my business later that day or the following day to look at it in person and give us a quote for repairs. No one ever showed up. No one ever called and Julie never even confirmed she received the texted pictures. So since we heard nothing, we called Julie to follow up and to confirm whether or not she received the text/pictures. She was rambling on about the company moving locations or something like and that they would break more boards trying to repair the job and she eventually declined our job in a very unprofessional way, in our opinion. It sounded more like she had no clue on how to properly fix our problem. We feel in the very least Julie or a representative from Oak Ridge Fence & Gate could have acknowledged us or responded to the text we sent her per her request. We got nothing.
