If you ever read my reviews before, then you'll know this is my first ever review for a gun range, and that is because until recently, I've never stepped foot inside of one. While driving along the Gulf coast on the way to Destin, I noticed a sign for the store on my left hand side. I've always enjoyed archery and wanted to test my shot at least once in my life, but was always quite intimidated. I've past up the opportunity to experience a range countless times prior but after seeing the recent contest in the Olympics, I figured what the heck, let's just at least check it out. Upon walking in, I told the fellas behind the counter that we're from 100% newbies, have never shot or even held a gun before, and were visiting from New York. One employee grinned and jokingly remarked "ohh just the words we love to hear", to which we all had a good chuckle. We told them our intentions of going to the range for the first time and they were very patient and informative every step of the way. First, they gave us an 45 minutes to an hour of private safety instruction. They went over the do's and don'ts, foundational aspects of stance, safety and aim. Our instructor was very clear, calm and professional. After we felt comfortable enough and passed his standards, we were on our way to the actual range. While dawning proper ear and eye protection, we were allowed to pick any guns we'd like, and could swap out anytime. What was so unexpected and neat about it all, was the price! We shot one full box of ammo, tried a handgun and a rifle, for about an hour or so, all for only $70! If we had time, we were told we could literally stay there the entire day, as the main charge is really only for the ammo. While I'm totally guessing here, I'd totally assume it would be 2-3x that up here in New York. While I'm not sure this is an activity I'd do again, I'm certainly glad to have tried it and can cross it off my list. Big thanks to Oak Ridge Gun Club for being so patient and professional. Cane in w my dad to gain better accuracy. Staff was very friendly eager to show various pistols and .300 blk out. They had few rare hard to hold pistols to grip, feel slide,& talk shop. Ive been debating on the new s&w comp black& blue 9mm, had a watchtower 9mm that was buttery soft, and found tap thumb post to drill on my gun. It had nice weight and found I can add a apex trigger to customize a better firearm. Will definitely come back read more

I have purchased 5 different firearms from this shop. Each time, the staff helped me understand the pros and cons of each. They installed my sights for me and checked them for accuracy on their range. I've shopped around, the prices are very fair. The range is a bonus. read more

This range is one of the nicest I have been to lately. The lanes are clean, cooled, and very well maintained. The store has a very wide range of every fire arm you could want. The biggest thing that separates this place from most others is the staff. By far one of the most friendly and helpful staff I have meet in a long time. Really wish I had known about this place when I took a class at a Pensacola shop that I felt very uncomfortable at. So, it was a gators and guns kind of day in Florida. We set off to the range in Gulf Breeze to do some shooting before we fed the gators and ourselves... Oak Ridge is a bit smaller than the indoor ranges I'm used to, and it was packed so there was a wait. There are 8 lanes total - 5 pistol and 3 rifle. Looked like a lot of regulars, most with their own guns. Saw a few couples - those who shoot together stay together right? Awww:) The staff is helpful, well informed and friendly and we chatted with them and browsed the guns for sale while we waited. They had a great selection of targets, even the fun ones that splatter. We looked at the guns for rent and ended up shooting an AR15, dropped a couple hundred in ammo and got to shooting. The guys there really seem to care about their customers and are very serious about the safety rules which are clearly explained and consistently enforced. *Fun fact* alligators don't really eat in the wintertime, dang it. Very disappointed because this place is right by my house. I bought a firearm here and had to return it and they told me they had to keep 3% because the credit card companies charge them that. I ran a business for thirteen years and never heard of this. I think I got ripped off. If I ever gave a refund, it refunded the 3% credit card fee as well. They should have something posted in there about it. They don't. That's why I suspect I was swindled. read more

If I could give this play zero stars I would. They charged my card before they did a background check. I was told I had to wait for the background check I waited over an hour just to be told that I had to continue to wait. All of the employees just kept walking by not saying anything. It was not until I got irritated and I got up to walk to the front desk that they told me I may have to wait some additional weeks. I've been asked for a refund and was told I had to pay a $21 fee for restocking. So I had to pay a stocking fee for something that I did not even leave the store with. Never even touched beside to look at it. By far the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Super unknowledgeable unhelpful and I just spent $20+ to walk inside and out of the store. Please take heed to all of the other terrible reviews they are 100% correct this place is by far the worst gun shop in the state of Florida. DONT LET THEM RUN YOUR BACKGROUND BEFORE CHARING YOUR CARD!! read more

Gun range is a little small, but clean (3 rifle and 5 pistol booths). Prices seemed reasonable for range fees and there were a variety of targets available. I didn't really look at the available guns and ammo for sale, but there appeared to be a decent selection (can't comment on the price). The staff was very straight forward, but not condescending. Operating a gun range, I think you probably need to be able to lay down the law, which they did, but without coming off as jerks. I'll definitely be coming back. read more

I have been to this place four times and they are always friendly and knowledgable about anything related to guns. The only reason I don't give them 5 starts is because of the prices of the guns and ammo. $30.00 for a box of 45s is too much, I can get the same ammo for $20.00 in Ft. Walton. However, the price of the range is very fair and they don't charge for ears and eyes. read more

Friendly and helpful staff, good prices, clean and practical facility. Great selection in stock, and no egotistical dickheads offering unwanted advice. You can bring your girlfriend, and some jerk bag will NOT come try to "help" her shoot! Gets pretty crowded at times, but that's to be expected, as they are the only indoor game in town(that I know of). They seem to have a lot of helpful programs for those who DO want help. Beginners courses and women training. Good specials for women and military, and they're happy to offer their knowledge and expertise when asked. Don't go here if you want an all out redneck range day! That would be Jay's north of crestview, which can be fun sometimes. This is the place you take a date, or your kids, where you can be confident there won't be some toolbag in the next stall acting like an unsafe idiot. read more

First off I hate giving bad reviews, especially a gun shop. I support our second amendment and local gun shops. With that said we must be honest because thats the only way to improve how we do business (if they choose to improve). I bought my wife a pistol from them and that was a excellent transaction. They followed up us with a phone call to let us know when and what price they could get it. The negative now, while I was purchasing the pistol for my wife, I asked them if they could get a rifle I have been wanting. I wrote all of the information they requested with my name and phone number. I haven't heard from them since. I get the impression they only care for the low having fruits. I went to use the gun range (which they did give us a free month for purchasing the pistol). And I asked the person behind the counter if it was ok I collect my own brass. He kind of hesitated and said yes, but then said normally they do not allow that. I said why, he said because we use the brass to offset the cost of environmental blah blah blah. I thought well , I won't be going here again. After my shooting session he did tell me that I would be allowed to collect my own brass in the future, that they just don't want people taking it out of the collection can. I went to another gun shop to get the gun I was looking for so in the end I got what I wanted and they lost a sell. Actually they lost more than one sell, because I bought a bunch of accessories as well. read more

Great range to come shoot at... we rented a bunch of different handguns which they let you swap out.. the price to shoot there was cheap, but the ammo price which you had to buy for rented handguns was pretty high.. overall would recommend. read more

Drove over from Pensacola with my Father-in-law as I've shot here before. Great customer service, friendly people behind the counter and a clean shop and range area. I'm much closer to the range on 29 in Pensacola but after reading the reviews figured it was definitely worth the trip. Looking forward to going back again!! Well worth the drive!! read more

Great customer service. Knowledgeable staff. We were first time gun users and Eric's orientation and instruction for the range was excellent. Their gun trial/rental program for their range is a great way to sample a huge variety of pistols before finding and buying our first gun. My wife was terrified of even going into the store, but once she got her first shot/shock on the range out of the way, she had a blast. And she can't wait until the next trip to the range. read more

All the workers are super nice and willing to help. Even though I'm a woman, they never made me feel dumb or unwilling to help. They made me feel comfortable about shooting, not only telling me what to do but going into the range with me to show me properly. I do think each row should be enclosed because when it's packed it's overwhelming that you're standing next to other customers all shooting guns. But that's all ranges. I love this range though and the deals they have are pretty awesome as well. read more

Beware of using oak ridge as an FFL. I was told it would be $40, then when I go to pick up my gun, I;m told it's $15 more. Next time I will be using Trade Winds Gun & Pawn. They are cheaper, and no hidden fee's. ALSO, I went to pattern some self defense LEAD buckshot for my new shotgun, and was told I HAD to buy their range ammo??? Their excuse was people shoot steel shot, and it tears up the range, which I understand. BUT, I only had 2 boxes of LEAD 2 3/4" buckshot standard pressure. I even let the manager inspect it, and still the answer is too bad, buy our ammo if you want to shoot your shotgun??? I can understand if I had some shady looking rounds, but all I had was LEAD 00 Buckshot. Unfortunately, this was the straw that broke the camel's back, and they have lost a VERY good customer. It would be different if they posted something on their website about this, but not a word anywhere, or on the door for that matter. This is very bad business, but when you are the only game in Gulf Breeze, I guess you can do what you want!!! read more

The staff here is very knowledgeable and friendly. You can tell they enjoy working there. They set me up with a basic training class, and since I was the only one there I had one on one time with the instructor, and had a lot of practice after the classroom work was completed. Defiantly know the basics now and can fire multiple types of guns successfully. I had the best shots I've ever had after that course.
