Great customer service! My wife and I were able to call ahead and confirm that they had a Sig P320 available for my wife, which was great because it was out of stock throughout Pensacola. Not only that, but the Sig was $50 less than Academy Sports and $30 less than Bass Pro Shop. When we called they were able to hold the sig for my wife as long as we made it before the store closed. Me and my mother stopped by to look at some ammo. She had just recently got a Glock while me and my husband also purchased 2 guns at the gun show over the weekend. Now my mother used to be a cop for a little and me and my husband are both prior military. My whole family also learned to shoot and about safety and everything that comes along with owning a gun when we were younger on our family farm as we are heavy believers in the right to bear arms. We went look for AMMO not everyone's opinion on the gun that I had bought. 2 of the workers were essentially laughing because I had bought a "cheaper" gun and attempting to explain everything to me meanwhile I knew everything about the gun as I had done my own research on it. Even a random customer comes up trying to put in his opinion. In the future I planned on upgrading but for right now this is what I could afford to spend on a gun so if someone in that shop would like to go ahead and buy me a nicer one I would love for them to go ahead and do that but if not, keep your thoughts and opinions to your self! No one asked for advice. One person RANDOMLY said they could take me to a range little do they know I have plenty of experience and don't need any help from them. Yeah never going here again. Left there seriously wondering what even happened in the store and how uncomfortable I felt. Giving 2 starts because the older gentleman behind the gun counter was nice and just did what I asked him to without any rude unnecessary comments. read more

First time I shopped here I went to pick up a deer stand I purchased and they sold it to someone else. Then they tried to talk me into settling for a different one I did not want. They did end up making it right and ordering me another one. The second shopping experience was not better. They did not have the bow I wanted in stock. So instead of trying to order me one they insisted I buy a different bow I was not interested in. Could Not get the tech to attempt to get me the bow I wanted. I will be shopping elsewhere from now on. read more

I really can't even give this place a star, as I watched incompetent, inefficient service breeze by me. I went in to Mike's to buy a hunting rifle. there were just two others in the store and they were checking out. There was a gentleman behind the counter, who I just assumed could help me out right away, as I was the only one there. He aptly stated, "I'll be with you in a minute" and walked back to the back room, where it sounded like he and another were unloading boxes. I waited and waited, till I chose to wait no more, as 10 minutes seems like an eternity. Very unprofessional, and even worse for Mikes they lost a sale that day and a future customer! read more

I've been back to Mikes several times since my bow purchase. I have to say they have been very helpful and friendly. I've purchased a couple of Leupold scopes and a rifle from them in that time. I love the selection of items they have to choose from. It always seems the ladies at the front counter welcome you like your a family member or a friend they haven't seen in a while. They honestly act like there excited to see you. As a business owner myself this is exactly the type of people I look to employ. I went to the archery department and was promptly and professionally helped. I had a bow set up by another shop and it was done completely wrong. I came here and now my bow is in shooting order. I went to Mike's Gun Shop last month and spent over $2,000 (cash)worth of guns and ammo. They were real nice when helping me purchase everything and of course if you need to return anything come see me. FUNNY. So went there yesterday to return the ammo for the AR-15 and the manager said we don't do returns. However on the receipt it says they do. he says "somewhere around here is a sign don't know where but we don't" Very rude and mean. Also my 380 was supposed to come with an extra clip he said if it wasn't in the box tough luck. What kind of customer service is this. When buying it they were so nice and returns not so much so. So don't buy anything there since they lie and don't abide by their return policy that is on the "clearly stated on the receipt "and make no effort to be helpful in the end. Thanks I will make sure we all take business elsewhere. Very disappointed for sure. read more

I walked into Mike's on Monday the 18th at about 1:30 pm to see if they had any reloading components, I was looking for primers for my reloading process. After inquiring if they had any; a young man behind the counter notified me that they were out of primers, he also said that they had just gotten in some .223 bullets and I asked to see a bag of them; he handed me a zip-lock bag with 50 bullets that are priced at $25.00 dollars. THAT IS INSANE!!! I know that there are shortages for reloading components, but not so much that a retailer has to GOUGE prices in such a fashion. At that price each bullet comes out to .50 cents per bullet, you can probably buy fully loaded ammunition for less than .50 cents per round. This is not the first time that I had the same experience with their pricing, I was looking for .45 ACP ammunition and they had a box of 50 for 24.99 per box, not knowing any better I bought a box. The very next day I found a box of 100 at Walmart for 18.35 per box of 100 rounds. If you are a consumer who likes to shop in a business that does not gouge pricing, then Mike's Outdoors is definitely NOT the place. I wish YELP would have a less than star because Mike's does not even rate one star. read more
