I was having significant pain and my dentist of record at the time was too busy to see me and scheduled me a month out. I looked through Yelp and found excellent reviews for Oak Tree Dentistry. I called Oak Tree Dentistry and they got me in that day. The tooth was bad and had to be pulled and they started the implant process. I experienced immediate relief and minimal discomfort with the extraction and implant placement. I have many other teeth that are worn down or missing and Dr. Gill developed a treatment plan that was easy to understand and affordable. Since that first appointment, they placed that implant crown, performed a root canal on another tooth, and crowned four more teeth. I appreciate Dr. Gill's technique. There is less drilling, grinding, pain, time in the chair, and post-procedure discomfort, than what I have experienced in the past with other dentists. Dr. Gill's assistant, Jenny, also provides great care during the procedures. I also had a cleaning appointment, and the technician Michelle did a great thorough job. The administrative staff I work with Samantha and Michelle are awesome. Billing is straight forward, and they make it easy to understand and it is reviewed at each visit. Appointment scheduling is easy, and they will reach out if earlier appointments become available. The entire staff makes you feel like they appreciate you as a patient. I'm a new patient with Oak Tree Dentistry and have to say if you're in the Elk Grove/ Laguna or surrounding area's, this office is a SOLID BET. Dr. Gill and his team are amazing! Friendly, kind-hearted (they actually care about each individual), dependable and professional to say the least. He is current with the latest technology used in the dentistry field. Anyone who needs molds and hates that disgusting taste, he has 3D real time scanner! I signed up to do Invisalign with Dr.Gill but mentioned to him that I'd be away for field work and might not be available during his regular business hours for a few months. He was very accommodating and I can't thank him enough. He works one Saturday a month, by appointment only. I've rarely encountered someone this helpful, typically offices are open 8am-5pm and that's it. I've had experiences in the past that made me really want to find a doctor who wasn't looking at me as a dollar sign. Some dentist will try to push extra work on you when you don't really need it. I couldn't have more confidence in Dr. Gill when he gives advice or recommendations when working on my teeth. He's genuinely trying to help you improve/maintain or better your smile. I can't recommend the team at Oak Tree Dentistry enough. I had been suffering in pain for weeks until they stepped in and solved my problem. Due to the COVID crisis, my extractions at my other dentist had been set back from February to March to April then finally to June. I was in daily pain and had inadvertently given myself stomach ulcers from the amount of pain medication I was taking in a misguided attempt to control my pain. Dr. Gill listened to my concerns and special needs regarding my case, and was available to answer my questions after hours when I had a bad reaction to a pain killer I had never taken before. My four extractions of some rather interesting wisdom teeth on a very hard to numb patient took just a little over an hour... I was amazed. Not to mention he is putting his own safety in jeopardy to help people like me, who can't find help for their dental problems anywhere else. I really wish we weren't moving out of the area so soon, I would go back to see him for the rest of my dental treatment. I am so touched by the service he provided to me, and by proxy my family. Gone are the days of me laying in bed with ice on face because my teeth hurt... I will never forget this day and the relief I got knowing I will not be stuck in pain for more months. We recently moved to the Elk Grove area and seeking a new dentist in this area for my son and I. I received a flyer in the mail and some friends had recommended to try Oak Tree Dentistry. I made my appointment and didn't have all my insurance information readily available but they were able to quickly research - they called me the very next morning confirming! The people here are all amazing! The Office Mgr.-Samantha had all form ready for us to fill/complete and definitely made us feel at home, offering us drinks while we waited to get our x-rays. The wait was minimal. Being new here, she also recommended some restaurants to check out in this area too! RDA-Dawn made sure the x-rays experience felt comfortable and that we weren't in any pain. Dr. Gill was very informative and took the time to explain what areas I needed to work on to improve my teeth and gums. Hygienist-Tameka did our deep cleaning - it was painless and one of my best experiences ever! Overall, the office is very clean and organized. First off let me just say, it's the f-in dentist..... no one likes goin to the dentist. With that being said, it was as pleasant as a visit to the dentist could possibly be, from the front desk, to the nurses and the Dr's. Very clean and friendly environment. My experience at Oak Tree Dentistry was nothing short of amazing from start to finish. I was nervous in finding a new dentist, but after being a mom for a year and skipping dental visits I know I needed cleaning and some dental work done. I'm so glad I found this clinic. I've been wanting to replace the old metallic filling that my old dentist did few years back because it really look so ugly. So I mentioned it to Dr. Gill and he agreed, in fact one of my tooth has a large defective old filling requiring to place a crown. Right away they give me a reasonable quote on pricing after a thorough check up and schedule me after they get the approval from my insurance. A few days since my check-up, I came in to get my fillings and crown done by Dr. Gill. Their process is so streamlined that everything went smoothly. He gave very good advice regarding my wisdom tooth after the check up, and he genuinely seemed to care about how the wisdom tooth extraction would impact my upcoming weeks. Oak tree dentistry is the worst dental office which I have ever seen. They canceled our appointment without noticing us or emailing us when we couldn't confirm the appointment. The lady in the office used our home phone number as our cell phone number and made all our information wrong. All their reviews are fake because they provide the free toothbrush kit to their customers and ask them to write a good review. My daughter's teeth were in pain after the doctor did the clean in January. When we called them, they didn't provide any solution. Overall, the doctors and the staff are very bad at this clinic. I have been using this office for my regular cleanings and dental work for the past few years. The staff is always friendly. An old root canal/crown (done by a different dental office) recently failed and i had to have the tooth extracted. Dr. Gill did the extraction and implant for me. This place is really incredible. A year ago, I got off the HMO at my doctor because I am tired of being intimidated by the dentist visit. I've had the worst children's doctor when I was a kid. I've had a tooth extracted when the Novocain wore off not knowing it had worn off. I did not want my daughter to have that experience. I went on PPO, same with my daughter, and this place was a world of difference in quality. It took some time but now I don't mind work done. I find the experience very pleasant and anxiety-free. It took me a while to write this because I wanted to know more of the staff. Here is how I feel about each staff. Dr. Gil is a nice blend of kindness and directness. And I appreciate him taking the time to explain things well. Pham is extremely nice and I trusted in her work because she was always so considerate and detail oriented. Samantha is really nice and always asks about my daughter and my life as a teacher. She is really gifted at making everyone feel like an individual. As I'm in the wait room, I can hear her expressing some general and kind observations about customers coming in. Michelle sits with my daughter all the time, and when things were hard during covid, she even watched her near her desk as my daughter played on the iPad. I had nobody to watch her at home. I'll always remember 2020 for people like this pulling together to help. Definitely a place for kids. Sergio, I have had a general cleaning and I feel he was always very attentive and very thoughtful. He could tell I had a question before I even asked. Mika is great at having lengthy conversations. She knows a lot and I appreciate her helping time pass. Dawn really knows her stuff. She was cleaning her teeth and had so much knowledge about my daughter's cavity on her canine. She was also very kind to my daughter, and I can tell my daughter felt safe. Tameka is extremely good at the deep clean, and we can talk forever. First time I had a deep clean without Novocain. In the past I'm used to doctors not giving me that choice and several slips happened and jabs that really made me feel that that was what the Novocain was for (for dentists who aren't pros at deep cleaning to make mistakes and be covered, until the patient goes home and feels it all later). These people are specialists at what they do. When you get a deep clean, they give you a person who has the most time in doing just that. Of course this is more expensive, but as I will mention later, Dr. Gil does not spare any expense in delivering quality dentistry -- from all facets of the field. I hope I didn't miss anyone, but I feel this is hands down the best experience I have ever had with a dentist and I appreciate that this place is literally right around the corner. I can walk here in about 3 minutes. As a whole, I appreciate Dr. Gil not just as a dentist, but as a business owner. He poured a lot of money in this. You can tell because everyone has special eyewear and a whole camera system to assist the x-ray. I had a favorite dentist back in Whittier when I lived in SoCal, and he was great, but I felt the office needed a technological upgrade. Well, the best thing here that I'm not used to is the HDTV that looms over your head. They put any Netflix show on (other streaming services may be available, I didn't ask) and you can just zone out between your show or in conversation with the person working on my teeth. Both means of distraction are provided to the max. Regardless, the time just melts away. And that is what you want from a dentist: to bring the discomfort down to a minimal while simultaneously bringing about great conversationalists along with some good old fashioned tv shows / movies. And with numbing gel, patience administering the shot, and so forth, discomfort is almost nonexistent. My favorite moment, I have to say, is when I decided to thank everyone with donuts one day, and Dr. Gil genuinely expressed gratitude, saying he wanted to hug me if it weren't for covid. It brought me a good laugh and a good look at what kind of heart is behind this great establishment. read more

He one of those dentist who looks down on you because you don't have perfect teeth and uses that to guilt you. Just like a used car salesman. I was very disappointed. When I went to Dr. Gil I had lost a lot of hope in the condition of my teeth, As well as dentists. I had a crown that had been done poorly at a previous dentist who is no longer in business. I went in as a new patient and was welcomed in such a warming manner by all of the staff there I felt like family. Everyone there is so cool! They have state of the art equipment and an inviting waiting area stocked with food and drink. Very professional with there operation there as well. They gave hope that my teeth were able to be saved. And indeed they were. I've been to several dentists in my time and more often than not I felt treated as if I were just another number in the books and all they wanted was money. Oak tree Dentistry is the first dentist that looked at me not as a number but a person who needed help. And boy did they provide! They gave me a detailed list step by step of how to save my teeth and I'm now almost completely at the end step now all I have to do is get one of their state of the art dental implants I can't wait! They are very accommodating with my finances which was a big reason why I put off going to the dentist for so long. Never again will I wait. All in all, oak tree Dentistry is the absolute best dentist office in Elk Grove if not the greater Sacramento area. I actually get excited to go to the dentist now.
