I'm a big baby and for some reason, dental was my least favorite place to go. ;) I have found Dr. Leo Townsend, DDS to be very professional and gentle! All of his staff are knowledgeable and friendly as well. The entire staff works as a team and are like family. I have my teeth cleaning and exams done regularly. From time to time, I am embarrassed to say they find those pesky little cavities!! My insurance covers most of it and I am out of pocket for a few dollars. Now, when they find something forming with their high tech gadgets, I do not wait. When you wait, and after time it becomes an emergency, that's when more work is needed. This office offers much more services than I've used. There's implant restorations, Invisalign invisible braces, pediatric dentistry, and more. The office is very serene and sterile. All of the staff are friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend Dr. Leo Townsend!

My son is on the autism spectrum, and experiences like dental visits can take a little extra time and care. From the moment his name was called by our hygienist, Abby, everything just felt right. She greeted him with such a warm and welcoming demeanor, patiently giving him the space he needed to feel comfortable walking into the room at his own pace. What truly stood out was how thoughtful the environment was, cartoons were already playing on both the wall and the ceiling-mounted TV above his chair, which immediately helped put him at ease. And Abby's work? Absolutely incredible. Her hands were so gentle and precise that my son was completely calm and, honestly, seemed to enjoy the entire experience. I'd been researching dentists for some time and kept coming back to Elk Grove Healthy Smiles (EHS), due to all of theor positive reviews and the staff from posted photos seems very friendly. I finally decided to visit EHS, and it turns out my girlfriend we t here when she was younger and had positive experiences as well. My initial consultation was thorough, and everything noted was gone over with me by both my Dental Hygienist and Dr. Nanra. And any further treatment was discussed and I given the option and opportunity to do it the same day, which I opted for dueing my 1st visit. Further treatment I went to another professional, and EHS helped me through the process and were even able to get me in sooner than expected. And then get me back in in-house, to finish a treatment before I went on vacation. Standard visits have been quick and easy as well, and staff have always ensured I was comfortable throughout my visits. From the reception team up front, to the dental professionals in the back. The staff are always nice and friendly with a positive attitude. And the front desk staff, make everything from billing to appointment booking as easy as possible. Overall: Great Dr. and great staff. I had a good experience as a new patient at this office. I had my initial exam to access where I…read morewas at. After, I came in for four fillings, a basic cleaning, and a laser cleaning. My teeth look cleaner than they ever did at my previous dentist.. there was a spot that had buildup and it's completely gone now. The fillings were quick and painless. Dr. D is informative and takes the time to explain every concern in detail, which really helped me feel comfortable throughout the whole process. I also want to highlight the front desk receptionist, Alex. She's friendly, welcoming, and very easy to communicate with, which made the visit smooth from start to finish. Another thing I appreciate is how convenient this office is.. everything is in one place. They have an endodontist and an oral surgeon in-house, and a periodontist starting January 2026, so there's no need to bounce around different offices. My night retainer didn't fit after my fillings, and they got me in the same day I called to fix it with. We specifically researched and decided on Dr. Dana Jensen, and he lived up to his reputation. Dr. Jensen is professional, amazing, and soft-spoken; he explained everything clearly and answered every question we had regarding the procedure. The efficiency was incredible--he removed two fully erupted top wisdom teeth and two horizontal impacted ones in less than 40 minutes under general anesthesia. The recovery was just as smooth; my son was pain-free by the second day using the provided ice pack and post-op instructions. The prescription was sent directly to the pharmacy, making the whole process seamless. His recovery was so fast that he was able to attend his first year of college just three days after surgery! I also loved the office layout, which includes a discreet side door to wheel patients out to the car. Tarah, the receptionist, was a pleasure to deal with and clearly explained our insurance coverage. I've also had the pleasure to deal with Nora (over the phone) and she was a sweetheart. While they require an appointment security fee over the phone, it is applied directly to the procedure. From the text reminders to the expert care, we are so glad we chose Dr. Jensen!

Upon returning from my trip, I scheduled an emergency appointment with Luc Dental Care. An x-ray confirmed a large cavity in my wisdom tooth. I was immediately referred to Sacramento Valley Dental Specialists for a tooth extraction. I spoke with a friendly representative at Sacramento Valley Dental Specialists who was able to schedule a next day consultation and oral surgery. The following day I arrived to a group of friendly employees at the front desk that greeted me. Since I filled out the intake form prior to the appointment, I was only seated for two minutes before being ushered to the back. An employee took my blood pressure, administered an x-ray, and informed me that the surgeon would be with me shortly. Shortly after Dr. Fries entered the room and introduced himself. He gave me an overview of the procedure that would be conducted, asked if I had any questions, and then started a short video that informed me about post-extraction care. After the video concluded, I was ushered to another room where Dr. Fries and an employee began administering the local anesthesia. Roughly 10 minutes later, after confirming that the anesthesia had kicked in, Dr Fries began the procedure. Throughout the procedure Dr. Fries and the employee did a great job of communicating what was happening (the wisdom tooth was very stubborn in coming out) and verifying that I was not in pain (although there was slight discomfort). Three days later, strictly following the post-extraction rules, I have no pain (thankfully)...thank you Dr. Fries and the rest of the Sacramento Valley Dental Specialists team!

I had my teeth cleaned and Toby and Doctor Madhi understood my concerns and were very careful not to hurt my sensitive areas of my teeth while cleaning. Turns out I need my filling re-done, I came in with my "anxiety kit" as in general dental work is difficult for me and I have an esophagus issue which also makes this physically difficult. Kalia took great care of me. She was gentle, caring, and answered all of my questions along the way, especially when I wasn't sure about something. She took her time cleaning and polishing my teeth thoroughly, inside and out, and I really appreciate the attention to detail. I tend to get nervous due to past experiences, but she made me feel at ease. The dentist came in to check my teeth and gave a quick explanation of the work I may need. I didn't catch his name since the interaction was brief, and it felt a bit rushed. I also felt the scraping on my front teeth to remove some tartar was quite rough, with noticeable pulling and tugging- it honestly made me worry my teeth might break. I didn't see Dr. Mahdi as he was on vacation. The front staff was friendly and welcoming. I'll be returning to see Dr. Mahdi to complete the rest of my dental work.
