Such gorgeous arrangement! It's the kind that brightens your day just looking at it. The flowers even have little water dew drops. Not sure if intentional but it made the arrangement look even better. The flowers and greenery were all fresh. The picture did not do this flower arrangement justice. So much prettier in person. It was a last minute Mother's Day flower delivery order. I confirmed over the phone that this specific bouquet could be completed and that it would be at least blue and white in color. I understand florists often take liberties with the flower choices etc so I expected differences but there was nothing remotely similar about the flowers I paid for ($116) and what was delivered. The bouquet looked like flowers someone tossed in the trash that they picked back out and shoved into a jar. Wilted. Sparse. Ugly. Embarrassing. No redeeming quality other than that single, oddly placed white rose. I could've gotten a better bouquet by raiding a cemetery. If you don't have the resources to do a last minute order- DON'T. TAKE. THE. ORDER.

I had a lovely experience with today with Oakbrook Florist in Mountain View. It was the first time in a long time that I'd gone in person and bought a bouquet not at a supermarket or online. It was for an important event and wanted to speak with someone first. I was reminded how lovely it was to interact with a person who took care with my order and then created something from the heart. The bouquet I found when I came to pick it up was epic and beautiful. It reminded me of how nice it is to have a local business to go to, and of how important it is to support folks in our community. I would love to support these guys and hope more people support small businesses in our neighborhood.

I needed flowers for a birthday gift so I was browsing through florist's websites and saw a pictures of "Another Year Rover" and immediately fell in love with it. I needed it right away so I called the shop directly and spoke to Roy. He wasn't sure if he had the right supplies to make it but called me back 30 mins later to confirm. O ce he was done making it, he called me to let me know I could pick it up at my convenience. What nice service! The finished product was adorable. I couldn't be happier. This is a small business so if you order, please order directly from the shop so big corp doesn't take 40% of their profit.

The only place to buy flowers!! Ordering flowers can sometimes be daunting as you never know whether what you see in the photo is what you get. There are so many florists and online options, and I've been disappointed before with how mediocre the arrangements have been in the past. When I ordered flowers for my mom's birthday from Oakbrook Florist in Mountain View I had no idea how beautiful and abundant the arrangement was going to be. You can tell a lot about a business by how much artistry they put in their product for their customers. It was clear they put a lot of heart in to the arrangement and created something very special. I go to Oakbrook for all my flower needs! Oakbrook made my wedding a dream with being able to put together all the arrangements on such a short time frame, and they do shipping all around the country as well. I was able to send funeral arrangements to my cousin several states away and she absolutely loved them. I use oakbrook to send flowers to friends and family both local and states away and they have them delivered timely and in pristine condition. The owner is sweet, and a wonderful person and works so hard to make the arrangements I order exactly what I'm looking for, definitely my favorite florist ! read more

I don't know flowers, I know technology. You have a computer problem, I'll fit it. Roy knows flowers. And when I need flowers I go to Roy. His shop is amazing, beautiful fresh flowers to chose from everywhere you look. Although I don't choose the flowers, Roy does. I just share - who it's for, what's the occasion and how much I'd like to spend. He does the rest. I make it a regular stop. I love how he spritzes the flower arrangement with water and every single flower has all of these little droplets of water clinging so tightly, makes the flowers look so fresh and perfect. I'm not sure what happened to my review of this place but somehow it disappeared in the Yelp Abyss. Anyhow I dropped by here shortly after my dentist appointment. The man that owns the place was very friendly and put together an arrangement that I brought over to my fathers gravesite. The bouquet he put together was a selection I made and also some recommended additions the owner made. The price was within my budget. I waited a short while and we both chatted and I found out he used to be an engineer such as myself so we found some common interests to talk about. I came away with a nice conversation and a beautiful bouquet that I'm sure my father enjoyed as well. read more

Really Disappointing. Called directly and requested a special floral arrangement with lots of pink for my daughter/first granddaughter. Specifically said NO carnations. Got not 1-2 but SIX. Expected them to make an effort given local shop, called directly etc. What a disappointment. Truly no better than grocery store flowers and not even arranged. Just thrown into a clear vase. Don't trust them for a special occasion. read more

Happy anniversary to my husband and me--13 years today. My sweet man used Teleflora to have flowers delivered to me, and they chose Oakbrook Florist. I can honestly say this is in my top 3 flower arrangements, EVER. I like pink roses, and they created a bouquet of beautiful pale pink roses and with pink and lavender-colored flowers in the supporting role, in a purple vase. It is just beautiful--high quality flowers that are still lovely 3 days into it. Oakbrook Florist has gained a new fan and while I don't send flowers that often, they will be my new go-to florist. I came in (sort of last minute) day before I needed a floral arrangement for my mother-in-laws memorial service. I brought the picture we were using to display and ask to have an arrangement made to 'go with' her picture. I even had the stand for the picture and asked for it to hide the bottom and be the right size/proportion. The result was AMAZING. He went way above and beyond and everyone at the service was blown away with how beautiful it was. Extraordinary service and quality. I first placed an order directly through 1800flowers.com which said it was delivered on the website, but my boss never received it. I tried emailing them and spent 4 hours on hold within 2 days over the phone.. After calling Oakbrook Florist, I was able to get my flowers delivered quickly and TO THE RIGHT HOME! I called the store twice because I was anxious and wanted to be sure it was delivered properly and the owner was so sweet and accommodating. Moral of the story: don't place a general order through 1800flowers.com, but instead be sure to select a specific 1800flowers location. I really appreciate it! Thanks Roy!!! read more

I buy a lot of flowers for many events for friends, family and for work. I would not be recommending this place at all. My son ordered me Mother's Day flowers from this shop and it was such a disappointment at the condition in which it was delivered. My son had requested it delivered today, on Mother's Day instead they were delivered on Friday. The flowers were half wilted and soggy as though this was the bottom barrel of flowers left. The roses were droopy and the only upright ones was the greens that were stuck in the vase to hold them up. Two days later (Mother's Day) and the flowers had to be thrown out. What a disappointment and a waste of money my son spent as he wanted to send me something special with all the suffering I've been going through with COVID19. Instead Oakbrook Florist sent droopy, smelly, and wilted flowers that barely lasted 2 days. read more

This is my very first time to write a review on yelp I lost a very close friend sister on March 1st and when I walked into Oakbrook florist I was a complete mess. I did not know what I wanted to order, what color, style, shape or anything at all! The office staff was very helpful and patient & knew it was very difficult for me to be ordering flowers for someone I loved so much. Oakbrook florist helped me alot. When I walked into the funeral home one of the first things I noticed was this lovely, large, beautiful piece. I was so happy with what I was seeing & I knew that if my dear friend could see that piece she would have loved it as much as I did!!!! I love how they let thier creativity take over and make such a wonderful floral arrangement. Rest in peace my dear friend. Thank you Oakbrook florist. read more

On the morning of my daughter's birthday, I tried going through 1-800 flowers to order a bouquet for delivery before noon. After a frustrating 20 minutes, I went directly to the Oakbrook Florist phone number and spoke to a very courteous and most helpful man named Roy. He helped me order the bouquet for my daughter, answered my questions, was familiar with the area my daughter worked in, and assured me that they would be delivered to her work place by noon. True to his word, my daughter received her birthday flowers by noon and was delighted with the bouquet! I would recommend Oakbrook Florist for any floral needs. I first saw samples of her work on a friend's Instagram and was curious about her Joy Project: delivering smiles all around the bay during this difficult time with mini flower arrangements placed on a doorstep. These minis are us usually sold as part of a custom arrangement, or in sets of 5, but sometimes Thao has specials for single arrangement delivery in different city groups around the bay (South, East, Peninsula). New orders are $10 each, which includes the mini glass vase frosted with the word Joy. Returning customers with existing vases pay $8. She will email you the bill to pay online. Please consider adding a 3% tip (and more!) to cover the CC fees. I was on a mission to find Mother's Day flowers for the most important moms in my life and searched for Thao's website. It said the whole week was sold out. However, the page said three arrangements were left so I emailed right away! Since I work in the same city as her business, I offered to do pick up.
