Same price. Thinking possibly not enough colorful flowers to pull it off. Two of the sprays were missing their cards when brought to the gravesite by the memorial park personnel. The florist delivered to the memorial park office. I called (it was at 6pm after closing) with the intention of leaving my orders on their answering machine but their voice message directed me to place my order via email. It's a smart request to ensure that orders placed is correct and names are spelled correctly. Also delivery information is not misunderstood. Was surprised, and pleased, receiving a reply at almost 8pm that same day, with confirmation that we would connect by phone for payment info the next day. Since I ordered online, I did not get to see what the final arrangement looked like, but my recipient was very touched and thought it looked wonderful. She sent me a photo of it, and I think that the arrangers did great work. The arrangement and delivery together cost a little over $100, which isn't cheap, but I felt that it's worth it to get good quality work. I also don't think that this price is any more expensive than online delivery services like Farmgirl Flowers, which is what I would have used to deliver the flowers had I not chosen a local store.

At that point, I had already gone to several places looking for the flowers my daughter really wanted to have in the bouquet, pink lilies. It was really difficult to find in the big box stores, like Costco, Wholefoods, Trader Joe's, or Safeway, so my husband suggested Fleur de Lis, a small business near our home in Mountain View. He said he had great experience in the past and the owner was very nice. Steven was attentive and patient and listened to what I was trying to describe, which was not easy on the phone. I also asked him to make some suggestions. Even though he said he rarely works with lilies in his arrangement (because a lot of people are allergic to them), he was still willing to put together what I wanted for my daughter. After about half an hour on the phone with him, he seemed to know exactly what I wanted and what he was going to do. Pickup was on the day after, but the next day, I was a bit nervous and anxious about how everything turned out and thought if there is the slightest chance that it didn't come out right, I still had time to get something off the shelf even if it wasn't ideal. I reached out to Steven and he sent me a picture. The bouquet looked so elegant! I only asked him to make a slight change and he immediately accommodated. I could tell she went above and beyond to add extra florals beyond retail value so I ended up asking if I could pay a little extra. She hesitantly accepted an extra $5. Interactions like these remind me why it's important to shop locally and support our small businesses. There are a million online floral vendors, but seeing all the love she put into this gift for my friend who is going through a tough time made my day. My friend loved the florals as well. The nicest part of this arrangement was the "Fishbowl" it was arranged in... It was clear at first look, these flowers were NOT FRESH..., drooping and sad looking. I didn't have it in my heart, to say anything to my husband, but after 3 days, and they were all but a few wilted, even my husband noticed. After buying flowers there for 25 years, my husband decided to bring the arrangement back, including the fishbowl (I should have kept the bowl), and he was promised it would be replaced. Several phone calls later, and endless excuses + 2 visits to the store, my husband gave up... I finally went there myself, and the nice young lady that worked there remembered the order.
