Wow! What a great experience. Went in with a top hat and asked the man and woman there to help me make it festive for a holiday party. They were inquisitive and asked what I had in mind, and were very helpful when I said I kind of just wanted a sprig of something fun that would really make the hat pop. They went in back and came out to clarify, "is a plaid pattern ok?" Yes! Minutes later they returned with a gorgeous arrangement that fit nicely in the spot on the top hat that normally holds a feather. They first asked if that was what I was after, and when I said, "Yes, this is amazing!," they gave me a very fair price. Really excellent customer service. From our first phone call to our in-store consultation, all of our contacts were kind, welcoming, professional and efficient. I came in with colors in mind. The owner showed me some examples in a book. I pointed out which arrangements I liked, and she said she could customize them to match our color choices. The turned our EXACTLY as I requested. She really listened. Just beautiful. And importantly, I had a limited budget that I stated up front, and she said she could make flower selections to stay in budget. When I phoned in a few days later to make payment, I asked to add 6 boutonnieres and 2 corsages for my mother's 8 living children. Gone are the days when I'd stop by Safeway or Lucky to pick up some flowers for Mom and Grandma's special days. I know it'll be crowded and most have had their pick. This year, I decided to start supporting local flower shops because it's fast and convenient to order online. A little warning though: it is more expensive than traditional grocery store flowers. Bouquets already come with a keepsake vase and actual florists artistically craft the arrangements. We're paying for art here. My first purchase was the vibrant birthday bash bouquet with an included balloon for my grandma. The florists really tried to make it look like the photo. I was merely surprised one color was off (orange was not as vibrant with the pink/red/yellow contrast) but they work with what's in season. Many compliments about the bouquet, even from my dad haha. Plenty of roses, Asiatic lilies, alstroemerias, carnations, chrysanthemum, etc. I splurged for Mom's birthday and got the gorgeous Ocean Dance bouquet: hot pink roses, white asiatic lilies, blue hydrangea, fuchsia stock, blue delphinium, raspberry sinuata statice, lemon leaf and spiral eucalyptus showcased in an azure blown glass swirl shaped vase. Friday before Mother's Day was already busy so I preordered a few days before. What grandma doesn't like pink and berries? Gorgeous Glimmer was shorter in size than I'd realized but held together better on my commute home. Roses, mini spray roses, carnations, all in various shades of pink. Sparkly mosaic vase included. Mom also likes classy chic so I ordered the Love Forever with red roses: large white & red roses, white tulips, light pink lisianthus, and seeded eucalyptus in a sleek and elegant silver reflections vase. This one's not just for Valentine's. Mini handwritten message cards with envelopes are free! Choose the occasion and they'll add the right one for you. Customer service has been so nice and accommodating. Also good to note there's only one way in and out of their small parking lot in front for pick ups. It's a bit elevated as well. Delivery also available for a fee. Support local and family owned shops & flower farms! They're bound to create something beautiful. read more

There was a plant I ordered not too long ago for congratulating my Bae for his big promotion. I come to find out today that he said there were no roots and that the florist just stuck them all together. I do recall that day when I had checked on my order I made online they told me they didn't have any orchids so I don't know how they pulled it off. Orchids are suppose to last a good while if taken care of. Guess the price I paid was hefty and not worth for Bae to compliment on. I saw it online and hope they delivered. Meh. My bf sent me a large arrangement for our anniversary. Some of the flowers looked like they were on their last legs at the time of delivery. It's only been 2 days and at least half the flowers are now droopy and nearly dead. To have roses that can't even make it 2 days isn't right. One of the lily stems was so short it wasn't ever touching water, so it's dead. Even the filler greens a lot of it came dried out. Not somewhere I would order from, as I'm sure he spent a lot of money for poor quality flowers. read more

I went to the Flower Cottage to get a bouquet, and the first thing to note is you can come in and make a bouquet on the spot, which is exactly what I was going for! The lady at the front was so pleasantly nice and helpful! I told her to create a bouquet on the fly with any purple flowers they had in store, and she made this unique, beautiful, 'smoky' arrangement, as she used, and my wife LOVED it!! It was different from our typical roses-carnation-stargazer lilies type of bouquets, as my creativity isn't the best! But the florist saved the day and arranged her own take on a purple bouquet. No idea if the delivery people are direct employees, but I had birthday flowers sent to me today. My dog, who is hopped up on drugs post surgery, had come out to inspect. For some bizarre reason, he jumped and snagged the delivery person's mask right off his face. I couldn't believe it and apologized profusely - but he didn't even seem fazed. Not only did she come up with something beautiful basically on the spot, despite having very limited stock on hand, but she really went above and beyond with service--she cut the bouquet to the perfect size for the cup holders used at the site, advised me to keep the flowers in ice water so they'd stay fresh, waited after hours for my husband to pick up the bouquets, and even offered to hold them until the next day for me, in case I couldn't keep them conveniently at home. Grace is an absolute angel. She is so incredibly friendly and sweet and easy to work with. I am a pandemic bride and COVID19 ruined our wedding plans, including allowing Grace to work her magic and make our beautifully planned flower arrangements.
