What a horrible bedside manner. I get out to the front and they tell me that she said that I need two caps $450 apiece out of my pocket. I said all I want is my fillings replaced. They asked her about it and she said no she needs the caps, so needless to say I'm not getting the caps. I started to see Dr. Dupuis probably 35 years ago used to be located on Pelham Road. He was a great dentist. He did really good work and he never tried to get you to pay for anything you didn't need to have. He also had a great bedside manner, very friendly, very smiley which made you feel comfortable. At this point, I don't recommend Dupuis office anymore after my last experience. I had another experience a couple years back a male dentist came in and wanted me to have my wisdom teeth removed and I said why and he said well because you know they're crowding your mouth or whatever now at that point I was in my 50s every dentist I've ever been to in my life said that I had the smallest wisdom teeth they've ever seen they absolutely we're not crowding my mouth. I feel like he needed to pay his Lamborghini payment or something. to this day I still have my wisdom teeth and they do not bother Me. Dupuis office has become a place of greed all they wanna do is sell you things that you don't need to have done. They don't listen to the patient and the patients needs like I said the lady didn't even introduce herself to me. All I saw was her from the back. She had dark hair and had her hair in a braid, looked at the x-rays and ran back out of the room, so I guess after 35 years I'll be looking for a new dentist because this place has went downhill in a handbasket.

Why is that? Why can't they cancel somebody who comes in alone rather than someone with two minor children? BEWARE!!! I recently had a cleaning services. My hygienist…read moresaid that, oh your insurance covers 100% of fluoride treatment. I said, Im 50 y.o. I may not need it, but if it is covered 100%, why not, use every benefit that we are paying for. So, weeks later, I received a bill about $47 for that service. Then, of course I had to call their office and made an argument of what my hygienist said. The dental staff said, and, I was told that my Blue Cross dental insurance made a mistake. From there, I knew they were already lying. For the sake of verifying, I called my dental insurance and asked about the coverage. I was told that the coverage for fluoride is only up to 19 y.o. and that guideline has been set since the beginning, decades ago. So, they knew then that it was not covered. They think that maybe all patients are ok with that. For me, this is one of those revenue-generating schemes, so BEWARE!!! Addendum: 7/2/25 So, they responded that my dental insurance states that coverage is age 4 and up, so again, I just called my dental insurance again to verify what this dental office states. I verified with my dental insurance that it was clearly stated that age is UP TO 19 y.o. This dental office knew then it was not covered, but told me it was. We supposed to make an informed decision by what they say. This dental office states that they are transparent. TRANSPARENCY is best shown in actions, not in words, JUST NEED SOME ACCOUNTABILITY.

When they opened back up, they called and said my kids had to come in one by one & I was not allowed to come in. They explained that they would have suits & masks on & I said no way. My kids are not coming in alone, first, & especially when they can't identify the adults. There was no compromise. So, I said we would come back after the madness ended. Two years later, we went in for cleanings. I have never accepted fluoride & we only do x-rays at the minimum my insurance allows. This was nothing new, but this time Booker seemed offended & expressed his frustration to me. I said that was my wishes & we hadn't had an issue before, but he wanted to argue. I declined, finished the cleaning & left. 6 months later I went in & needed to get an old filling replaced. I had just had a doctor's appt where she told me to be careful what type of filling I get for medical reasons. When I expressed this to Booker & asked questions about what he uses he said he wanted my doctor's name because he was going to tell her she didn't know what she was talking about. I said that is very aggressive & he proceeded to tell me that I just need to let him do his job. He could not tell me what type of filling material he used or any health risks. He then started ranting about people who ask too many questions. I declined for him to do my work. His attitude & aggressive behavior is disturbing. He has an attitude like no one knows more than him, but he can't even tell you the materials he uses. I decided then I would not return. The next time my husband took my kids, the receptionist asked him if he was competent enough to make follow up appointments or if she should call me. Extremely sexist & just plan rude. My kids then did not return. My husband was the last holdout, until now. This week, he has an emergency. He was in a car accident & cracked a tooth. He called the office at 11 am to find out they had different hours for spring break... they closed at noon. However they didn't answer the phone at 11 am... he left a message to say he had an emergency. Nothing. No call back. He called again today & it says now that they are closed until Monday. He then received a message saying they wouldn't take care of him until Monday. Who closes their office for Spring Break? This business is so unprofessional. We're done.

Since his dentures are still under warranty, he took his top plate to the office and they wanted to charge him $73 for an oral exam before they even looked at the denture! What?!!! Dr. Kareem is incredibly kind and gentle--honestly, she's the first dentist I've had who didn't hurt while numbing the area! The office is very efficient too; I was taken in just 5 minutes after arriving right on time. The assistant at the office was so friendly and helped calm my nerves since I tend to get anxious at the dentist.
