You know when you Google your symptoms and think the worst of the situation? That's what I've been…read moredoing for about a year. A whole year of trying to change my diet, trying new supplements to see if they help, things of that nature. Finally, I decided to take a step in the right direction and come to LMC. A friend of mine who I know had similar symptoms as mine made an appointment at Lewerenz Medical Center and she had a very positive experience. At my first appointment, Lauren showed me the results of my finger prick test under a microscope which was really neat, and due to those results she recommended that I get the food allergy testing done. The phlebotomist was very friendly, and one of the kind ladies behind the front desk sat with me while they did my blood work to make sure I didn't faint, they even brought me some water and gluten free snacks just in case! This was the first time I had ever gotten blood work done and LMC really helped make sure I was comfortable, which meant a lot to me. For my second visit, which was two weeks later (today), Lauren went over my blood test results. I got a copy from the Beaumont Laboratory that goes into detail about my thyroid levels, cholesterol, iron, vitamin D, etc. AND I got a copy of my Food Antibody results. I also never felt that they were ever pushing their supplements on me, which was really nice. I'll definitely be returning after such a positive couple visits. Next time I come though, I'll be even healthier than when I came in the first time, thanks to them! :)

Avoid this place. They will see you for 5 minutes after you've been waiting loooooong past your scheduled appointment time. Multiple times we've waited for over an hour to be seen. This was not an isolated incident as it has happened consistently regardless of when the appt is scheduled (morning, afternoon, etc.). If the care we received was worth it, I don't think we'd mind waiting but in multiple visits the PA/NP (Nicole?) has been neither thorough nor compassionate. I wasn't going to leave a review but was truly shocked to see their high rating so felt I owed the community at large a fair warning. Stay away from this practice unless you are looking for a practice that wastes your time and gives you subpar care. There are better places in the nearby area (Troy, Birmingham) who will value your time and treat you with the compassionate care you deserve. If you are already a patient here, I encourage you to find another practice and potentially look into filing a formal complaint through LARA as well as your insurance company if your "care" was as subpar as ours has been, as I will be looking into. This is absolutely appalling. But at least the front office staff is pleasant! Kidding - they're incredibly rude and unhelpful - negativity attracts negativity. If you're a potential patient give them a call and see how helpful they are about your questions or scheduling before you commit to get a taste of what you'll be dealing with. Then time how long it takes to be seen.

Avoid Dr. Ehrmann at all costs!…read more I saw him for a couple years and everything was fine. In the winter, I asked for an increase in my antidepressants, and instead of increasing them, he completely took me off the medication that I had been on for years. Cold turkey. If anyone knows anything about antidepressants, that's a huge no-no. I had HORRIBLE horrible withdrawal symptoms from Dr Ehrmann not weaning me off me medication at all. I contacted him several times asking to be put back on my medication, because I became suicidal, lost my job, and almost became homeless. All he said was "it's going to be rough for a few weeks." I had paperwork that i needed filled out so that I could at least get on disability, and Dr Ehrmann never filled it out. One week, I had a follow up appointment that I had to reschedule due to my son being ill. I called the office, left a message, and also responded to the text message reminder, which said to reply "no" if you needed to reschedule. I was able to get a different appointment, and when I showed up for that, I was informed that Dr Ehrmann was discharging me from his practice for not showing up to my last appointment - that I called and rescheduled with no issue. He discharged me, never did my disability paperwork, and never cared if I was going to be ok or not. He should not be practicing anymore. If he's not able to handle certain conditions, he needs to refer his patients to someone who can. He never once gave me any referrals to a psychiatrist, even after he told me he didn't know much about mental health disorders. Him taking me off my medications cold turkey quite literally destroyed my career, my life, and my home. I'm writing this not to be malicious, but as a warning that this man should not have a medical license and should be avoided at all costs if you want your health taken seriously.

Office staff are rude and not great at getting messages to the Dr.s in a timely manner. Also my prescriptions constantly get sent to different pharmacies all though I remind them over and over again that it's west bloomfield pharmacy they always send it to Madison heights. Always disorganized and if I have to cancel an appointment and schedule for a later date they DO NOT cancel me and I get told I missed my last appointment. Ridiculous! You cannot trust this place.

I was a 34-year-old female who came here in 2024 for bloodwork, a tingling sensation in my foot,…read moreand oral thrush/candida. During my first appointment with Marna Taylor, she ordered bloodwork, prescribed medication for the oral thrush, and recommended physical therapy. I also mentioned concerns about acne, and she told me it was completely normal for my age and that I was probably perimenopausal. At my second appointment, I explained that the medication for my tongue had not worked. She prescribed a higher dose of the same medication. I also mentioned that physical therapy was not covered by my insurance and that I had researched the possibility of a gluten reaction. She agreed that sounded plausible. The appointment then shifted into a discussion about my health insurance premiums and coverage. I explained that I had marketplace insurance at the time because I was a freelance writer, and that I was comfortable with my monthly premium and willing to pay out of pocket if needed. Despite that, she told me she could not order additional thyroid bloodwork unless I personally called my insurance company, gathered all the billing codes, and found the prices for each test. She then ended the appointment, saying I was late, even though I had arrived on time. On the drive home, I realized she had never even reviewed my bloodwork results with me, which was the main reason for the visit. When I later checked the portal myself, I saw abnormal levels. When I went to refill the prescription she had given me, the pharmacist pulled me aside and said he was concerned it may have been prescribed incorrectly because the dosage was extremely high and aggressive. He advised me to call and confirm it. At that point, I decided not to continue care here. I later paid out of pocket for bloodwork from Function Health, which showed significant thyroid issues. I then found a new doctor who told me it was preposterous to suggest I was likely perimenopausal at 34 without proper evaluation, and I have since been receiving treatment for my thyroid condition. This experience felt dismissive, unhelpful, and poorly managed. I would not recommend wasting your time or money here.
