We came in on a Saturday afternoon and the place was busy. After wandering around, it appeared a line was forming so we lined up. However, after a few moments, a younger women approached asking how she could help. She measured, wrote up the order and and cashed us out in less than 10 minutes. She explained what the next step would be and we were on our way. I have tagged his mom and grandma in for pick up but based on past experiences with my boys and the efficient from last Saturday I have every confidence everything will be fine. TBH I have no idea how they compare to other tuxedo places, pricewise, but I think they have a great selection and the customer service is clearly a priority. Now that I am done with dressing young men for prom I will have to find some black tie events for my husband to take me to. :-) They have a very nice selection of mens clothing and they might do alternations, although I am not sure if that is just for purchase from them or if they take outside work as well. The only thing more impressive than the selection and quality of the clothing was the service I received. OMG, Wendy not only knew all the brands, how they fit, and what sizes were available, but it was like she could read my mind about what went well together and what would be comfortable for me. It was like she knew my measurements by just looking at me. The only issue I had was that I didn't allow myself enough time. I purchased some shoes; I was not walking out empty-handed, but I definitely will be coming back again, and again, and again. The thing I really enjoyed and appreciated was Wendy's attitude. She was dressed to the 9's, very professional, she knew the products in and out, she was informative and not salesy or pushy. I felt very comfortable and trusted her advice. By the way she was dressed, I knew she had the kind of taste I like in clothing. Sharp, neat, respectful, but also fun. If I'm honest, the cherry on the sundae was her smile. Apparently, they are related although this one is not for retail but you can register for membership. We did that and then my son and I did some shopping for him with the helpful of a salesperson. My son had just graduated and needed suits for his new job. We purchased two suits which had to be specially tailored for his weightlifting body (narrow waist, thicker thighs). There is a tailor on the lower level who can special tailoring for purchases made here. We ended up with two suits, shirts, ties, belt, shoes, and socks for much less than $2,000. I was very pleased and my son was very happy. When we came back to try out the tailoring, my son said it was the first pair of dress pants that actually felt comfortable for him and fit perfectly.

I anticipated having to return the shoes and buy them again online, but the sales associate swiftly explained that she could do a full exchange and have the correct size sent to me without me having to lift a finger (or charge my card again! Yay) The whole process was done in 3 minutes, and the new shoes are already on their way. I wish the fragrance department carried more brands (le labo, Diptyque, more products from the nue co), but there's also lots to peruse in that section as it is. Friendly and prompt service make this a great shopping experience.

Going downhill fast! Very disappointing trip to Nordstrom yesterday. After purchasing a dress on…read moreclearance from the juniors department, I realized they had left the plastic piece on the dress that can only be removed by the store. The second floor had next to no one available anywhere. I went to the juniors department, where I had purchased the dress, and was met with an associate who was on a personal call, and then very curtly told me that she "could not help" because she was now clocking out after concluding her personal phone call on her cell phone. I had to wait for her to wrap up her personal call before she shared her message of not being able to help with me. She then sent me to the other side of the store and said they were plenty of registers open. Well, not exactly. I did come across a nice associate, who was apparently in training, but she, too could not help me. She left to try to find someone who could help me. Another employee in training explained to me that it was not the employee in training's fault that she couldn't help me. I explained that I understood that and was then met with yet another Nordstrom employee, who appeared confused about my request. He, too, was going to get someone, or he said I could go to Customer Service. I decided to go to Customer Service where I asked if they could remove the plastic piece, and if she could check if there was another size in the dress as the original was slightly too big. While she was explaining to me that it was sold out, she actually opened up a piece of candy in front of me and started eating it. At this point, I said, I just wanted to return the dress altogether. All of this hassle for a one item return. Add to that, the reason I even went back was because they had left the large plastic piece (theft deterrent) on the dress. it was such a lackluster and disappointing visit to the store. I actually prefer Macy's at this point as they have far more help on the floor and they have a better energy in their store. The energy inside of Nordstrom was flat, and no one seemed excited or happy to be performing their job. Very disappointing experience. Based on this experience, I have decided that I am no longer a Nordstrom shopper.

I went there to shop for a family we adopted for Christmas as one of the boys needed a 3XL and some other stores had a more limited selection of clothing in that size. When we walked in, we were greeted right away and the gentleman helpingwas very friendly. We found exactly what we needed which was 1) a nice sweater and 2) few t-shirts that featured rock bands which I was REALLY excited about. There were a few designs that didn't have his size, and we were offered two day shipping for free to make sure our items arrived in time to gift to our family. We really appreciated the level of service and that no matter your size you could find quality, fashionable clothing. My only gripe is the price. It was $209 for a sweater and three t-shirts. Owwwwwww. :(
