Last night while walking thru my 100 acre ranch, I lost one of my Oakley flip flops in the creek. So, today I ventured over to San Marcos to the outlet mall. Those summer slidies actually came from this location with me remembering decent customer service on that purchase. Total opposite experience today. I was greeted upon entering and that's about it. I'm 6 feet tall; some of the shoes were close to 9 feet in the air. No offer to use the stick thingy to help. 15 minutes later basically remaking a scene from White Men Can't Jump and I found my size. I then asked a staffer if he could remove the lenses from one style of frames. Here is my direction here...The wife has recently turned several pairs of sunglasses into AWESOME looking prescription frames. I got a big "Um, no" when I asked a guy to remove the dark lenses. I was ready to spend some serious dollars on multiple frames. Mrs. Rooster has been buying Prada frames which equals $$$; plus an additional $260 per frame to get her prescription into said frames. I was looking to convert some Gas Cans, possibly some Hollbrooks, and maybe some Crosshairs. After getting shot down on my simple request, I went to pay for my slides. That will be $60ish dollars. Umm, they are $30 according to the price tag. Strange cashier states that's each pair is $30. You mean $30 each left and right? Bullsnot! Then, I realized another pair of slides was to the left of my pair on the counter size 8. Yeah, not mine. One of the most AWKWARD retail experiences I've ever encountered. I would have spent more than your district manager's bi-weekly paycheck if there would have been some cooperation! read more

Something I've learned, just because these stores are in the outlet, does not mean they all are outlets. Just FYI my friends. If I never have to go back in here again, that will be too soon, but my bf likes Oakley so I must. They have really nice stuff, but I could not get over how many employees they had standing around chatting, not even remotely pretending to work. It's very uncomfortable to shop in a small store where there are people just standing around. read more

Floated the river...lost my sunglasses (wouldn't be the first time and probably won't be the last)...anywho, needed a new pair so where else...Oakley Vault. I walked into the place and it was packed with a steady flow of customers, problem was, I had no idea who actually worked there??? I'm not saying uniforms (think Oakley collar shirts) are the answer, but for crying out loud...maybe a name tag or something. I knew exactly what I needed, and once I did find a sales person....I will give them kudos, he was actually really helpful and went out of his way to show me everything and hunt stuff down in the back stock room. Place gets 2 stars for these reasons: It's an outlet store....you'd think the prices would be better than elsewhere...NOPE. Stupid plastic glasses still cost 200 bucks Hard to figure out who works there when it's busy (the guessing game is fun when I am NOT playing it). I won't go back...I'll just buy my stuff from Sunglasses Hut...or any place that is local for that matter from now on. read more

Bought my boyfriends sunglasses here he loves them. Had some poor guy help me figure out which ones to pick I'm quite indecisive but he helped me the best he could and that's all I really could have asked for. Prices are outrageous but my boyfriend really loves the quality of the glasses! You get your money's worth for sure. Would have given five but I had gone in the other day with a friend and was being glared down by an employee and he wouldn't stop staring at us until we left the store it made me feel uncomfortable. P.S if you're outdoorsy you defiantly want to shell out the extra cash for the polarized lenses it's expensive but so worth it boyfriend wears them all the time when he's fishing. read more

I've been to this store numerous times and only 1 time have I ever been asked if I needed any help. The staff were actually b.s.ing with each other on one occasion and recently when I went in with a shopping bag from another store the associate that I spotted staring at me and shockingly never helped me but was fixated on my bag and myself,scanning me like I was going to steal something rather than doing his actual job. COMPLETELY done with this store. read more
