Last month, when I was briefly in Oakville for a couple of days, I needed a Shoppers Drug Mart (SDM). I did a search and ended up going to the one at Oakville Place. It was the closest one to me. I normally like standalone drugstores. I don't spend as much. Get me visiting a mall and I'm bound to shop. It happened here, but I contained my shopping madness down to this mall wing with SDM and the food court above it. It's a decent mall. It has Pearl, a Chinese dim sum restaurant that I like. I typically go to the one at Bayview Village. It was nice to see one west of Mississauga. The dining room looked gorgeous as I walked over to the mall entrance. The SDM is steps away from the main mall entrance, which I appreciated. I got what I was looking for and more. This same wing of the mall had Claire's. I ended up getting Squishmallows and a Grogu bucket hat. It was nice finally visiting the LL Bean store. I love the products, but there are rarely any sales that make me want to buy anything. The mall ceilings are nice. There's lot of glass that allow natural light to shine in. It's cool and cheerful. There are also various decor accents, such as triangular lighting and dangling spiral installations, that are pleasing to the eye as you walk around. The food court is cool. There was a bee installation where you could read up on how wonderful bees are. I didn't end up dining at the food court. However, there was a sushi clearance at the end of the night at Sushi Mac. I couldn't resist and bought some sushi to bring back to my hotel room. There is a Kernels-Yogen Fruz store on the main floor. I dropped by to get popcorn at Kernels before leaving the mall. Popcorn is my weakness. I got two bags to feed by popcorn habit. I was only in one wing of this mall and enjoyed being there. I would likely be broke if I had walked the entire mall that evening. Lots of natural sunlight which makes the mall feel larger and more breathable. The selection of stores is consistent with most big malls. However, their food court is absolutely terrible. Very, very old, hardly any options and in major need of a revamp. It's not my first choice of malls but if I am in the area with time to kill, a little window shopping is never a bad idea read more

Not a bad mall at all! One of the gems of this baby is the Pearl which is the dim sum place to go to west of Sauga. There's also good go-to stores in this mall. We have Roots and RW&Co for both men's and women's fashion. There's a Body Shop and Bath and Body Works for your skin care needs. If you're thirsty, they have a Yogen Fruz where you can get smoothies or hit up Freshly Squeezed for juice, tea, and smoothies. On my weekend here there was an artisan craft sale with vendors selling handcrafted jewelry, glassware, and fine foods. Parking always seems quite easy to get, even on the weekends. read more

I came here the weekend before Christmas with my parent. The place seemed busy and was somewhat filled with people which could be due to the restriction and the holiday session. The lines were somewhat long, especially to get into the Hudson's Bay from the mall entrance and the Starbucks infront of the Hudson's Bay. The only problem for us was finiding an exit closest to where we parked our car. We went to through the wrong exit (which happened to be an emergency exit) so we had to go back in and go to the other mall entrance/exit to get to our car. read more

It has great access from both highway and Leighland Ave. You can find a great selection of stores in a well-organized layout; Hudson's Bay, Sunglass Hut, Toots, RW&CO., H&M, Hallmark, etc. Food court is small but has a good selection of food to choose from. Also, plenty of parking spots are available on the north and south side of the shopping mall. read more

Płace is nice and clean, but food is bit disappointing; ordered Reuben sandwich that comes with fries bread of the sandwich I assumed fried and assembled, there was none or minimal sauerkraut and fries were burned and bit greasy. I hope those can be easy to fix read more

Oakville Place is not bad compare to a lot of other Shopping Centres I been to! Huge skylights letting the bright sunlight filter in... warm even during the dreadful long winter months... Stores are decent with Style Sense, Mexx, Birks and DavidsTea! Free WIFI access? Comfy armchairs? Clean and Quiet? Not bad at all!!! read more

I would say it's a rather small mall with a lower case t shape. And I got a chance to get very familiar with it when I was coming to it day after day, waiting for the iPhone 4 to be delivered to the Fido Booth :) The window ceilings make it very bright and it's very clean, I have never seen the Mall being overcrowded ( One of the reasons why I picked this location to wait for the iPhone 4. That's why it's a very pleasant shopping environment. Food court is big although it doesn't have the biggest selection of vendors, or better said not the most interesting. read more

Oh Come On!!!! You'd think Oakville would have a Decent Mall. What a Joke!!! Minimal selection and they close super Early on Weekends. I guess it's good that we at least have a Mall, but I was expecting something better for Oakville. I have been to Shopping Centres that have a better selection here in Oakville. We thought let's try something out of town and Oakville being among the elite localities of GTA, we assumed it would be great. But alas, we were disappointed. The Mall is dull and tries hard to impress you but unfortunately fails. The stores weren't that good enough with limited brands, among the few that still have Sears. Even the amount of people were scarce, the mall is undergoing some renovation so the elevators were closed, hence with a stroller was inconvenient. We had to walk all way to Hudson Bay to get an elevator. The food court is also kind of sad, not any options at all ! I would say, really not worth the drive !! read more

I dunno if it was the time of day that I visited, re: Sunday afternoon, or other factors, but this place was d-e-a-d, DEAD! Was everyone at church, visiting their friends at convalescent homes, attending a funeral, or just literally deceased? Everyone who was there was either old &/or White, or random young, immigrant families. Perhaps this place is busier during the school year with Sheridan nearby. Definitely NOT a place for the hipster crowd, that's for sure! Scanning the directory, there really isn't anything here that I'd make the special trip out for. Well, there was StyleSense, but some dumb-dumb decided to shut that down. In any event, the lady at Guest Services was awfully nice. read more

Most people who live in shopping prefer driving an extra 15 minutes to Square One or Sherway, so Oakville Place is a great mall to visit because it's always empty! They did a pretty good reno a few years back and made the mall quite nice inside. It's a simple two-level mall that is pretty easy to navigate. There is a decent food court upstairs (Thai Express, A&W, Tim Hortons, Sandwich Tree - my fave, Jugo Juice and Fit for Life, etc). There is also an Oliver and Bonacini restaurant, which is an amazing upgrade from the old East Side Marios. There is a good mix of stores for the basics (H&M, Roots, Mexx, Aldo), a couple of salons, a dentist, and a lot of coffee/tea shops. read more

Ah, this is where I used to go when I ditched class in high school (umm..I mean during lunch time...uh..yeah..that's it). Quiet local mall. If you are looking for MEXX, American Eagle, Aeropostle type shops and not anything more higher end, this mall will do the job and will be very quiet, so you should get very good customer service. The mall hasn't really changed over the past 5 years. Same old shops, same food court, same banks, still has Shoppers and Timothy's coffee. Nothing to write home about, it gets the job done. Looking for more shopping? Better off driving 15 minutes to Square One or 10 minutes on the highway to Erin Mills town centre. read more

Now that Mexx is closed, they really don't have any clothing stores that are of interest to me. Decent food court. A few nice specialty shops for gifts. 2 department stores, Hudson Bay and Sears. It would probably work out better if I were a teen girl or a couple decades older, but they just lack the stores I'm looking for. Hours are pretty limited on the weekend, but that's normal around here. Don't believe what you see listed on Yelp. The Danier is pretty decent, though smaller than some. They are also currently remodelling, so there are several different types of tile in the entryway. Overall, you're better off driving to Mississauga, unless you don't need much selection and are hoping to avoid crowds. read more

Had an uncomfortable and unprofessional interview experience with a male interviewer in his mid- late 20s at the American Eagle in the Oakville Place location. Questions regarding my University background, and how my previous work experience and education would align with the company values, were not a focus. Instead the male interviewer was more focused on exterior related questions. The male also had trouble focusing, and was staring in an extremely obvious manner at the midsection of body for far too long. It was becoming distracting and downright creepy. Very arrogantly and behaving in an unprofessional manner he asks me: "describe to me what you're wearing?" I was wearing a conservative black dress? I didn't feel right to be asked that especially as a younger female. Furthermore, the male interviewer swore, saying "shit" during the interview-- highly unprofessional. I was shocked that he couldn't maintain the slightest bit of professionalism. He further states: "normally we would make our interviewees try on our jeans..." Really?? How inappropriate of a company to place that kind of pressure on the potential candidate. Luckily I didn't have to do so. This is clear indication of the company culture, altogether. I definitely do want nor would I want to work here after my experience, and don't believe my values align with the company. read more

This mall is in serious need of a refresh to bring in some interesting shops. It's fine if you are just looking for some basic wardrobe staples (e.g. HBC for socks, underwear) but that's about it. Unfortunately, there's really nothing else notable here. I suppose this mall is perfect if all you are looking for is to stroll around, window shop and grab a bite to kill time ( e.g. Like I do when I'm waiting for my car to be serviced at the Honda dealership down the street). But at least the decor is bright and airy. read more

It is not as great as some of the other major malls (sq1, eaton centre etc) however, for quick shopping needs or just to get something to eat it is ok. The only plus side to this mall is its not as crowded, there it is great for Christmas shopping. read more

Best mall in oakville. Hopedale, or "south oakville center" is for the elderly and bronte village is just depressing. Oakville Place really makes me feel like I'm better than those in a lower wealth tax bracket. 50$ for a pair of gloves? No problem! I'll use them to point and laugh at those who can't afford them! My two kids feel really entitled when they enter this mall, and that's a great thing to teach kids - entitlement. read more

The mall is ok as there are not many shops in there but for a quick weekend your it's fine. My kids love the sushi bar located within the mall on lower level. The food court on the upper level is good as well. It's small yet neat and we can always find good stuff even in the clearance racks. Less crowded and more parking available always. The dentist's office within the mall is superb. There need to be a family washroom though or a baby changing area as the washrooms in there do not have any changing station. No complains but it can get better by attracting more brands and shops in here. For serious shopping we usually go to either Burlington or Erin mills. read more

A for effort. I quite like small shopping centres, makes my job easier when I'm there to pop in and out. Not your best bet for higher end stores, but they do have your main chains such as Sears, The Bay, H&M, Mexx, Foot Locker. Food court looks a decent size with quite a pleasant amount of seats however, there isn't much food stores so thats a downer. Oliver & Bonacini seems like the fanciest of restaurants to be located within the malls reach, but I'm not complaining. Pros: always easy to find parking and I can come here to get my xmas shopping done in a jiffy. Cons: Mall could use a bit of a revamp, maybe add Forever21 or Zara. I rmbr when they had that shoe warehouse a few years ago, which I feel like brought in more clientele. Nowadays, not so much going on within the malls walls. read more

The mall is not that large so there is not much variety. Typical stores. Located right off yhr qew which is good.
