After waiting 10 min for someone to help me, I was turned away because I didn't confirm through text that I was still coming. Do better. I make appointments for a reason. If I make an appointment I shouldn't have to confirm again through text that I'll still be there. Plus, the text came from a Los Angeles (213) area code. I don't answer text from unknown caller from California. I don't think I'll be going back. It was humiliating and hurtful.

This is easily the worst Massage Envy I've ever been to. Sure, I could mention the extremely high…read moreturnover rate and lack of consistent training. But what I really want to mention is how a massage therapist assaulted me, and this location continues to employ him. My massage therapist was Bryant and here are all of the ways he made me feel unsafe: hurting me because he was moving faster than was safe, ran his elbow into my spine repeatedly (probably because he was moving so fast, he started breathing heavily), contorting my arms/shoulders without care (even though I mentioned MULTIPLE TIMES having a joint disorder), refused to slow down to a normal pace after I asked him to slow down, commenting on my tattoos (which is against policy), and then when I told him very loudly and firmly that the massage was over, he just said, "okay," and continued to try and massage me before I repeated that the massage was over. Massage Envy was extremely performative with this entire situation when I immediately reported it. The general manager rushed down to take a statement and apologized for what happened. Their rapid response team took a statement a handful of days later. Sounds good, right? Then I heard nothing about it afterward and saw the massage therapist back on the schedule only a couple weeks later. Definitely not enough time to investigate, train him in proper massage protocol, how to work with joint disorders, and the importance of consent every step of the way. I'm now traveling to a Massage Envy thirty minutes away, to use up my remaining credits because I don't want to run into this guy. I've been with Massage Envy for almost nine years, and this location has solidified my decision to cancel my contract as soon as I use up my credits at a different location. I debated leaving this review, but if I can keep at least one woman safe, it'll be worth it. Please just be safe when getting a massage here and always advocate for your own comfort and health.
