I don't give stars easily, but after trying 5 different nail salons in Lynchburg, my experience at Oasis has been the best. The new equipment and furniture, the cleanliness of their tools and the neatness of the salon spoke volumes about the owner's devotion to a quality, relaxing experience. The staff is sociable, friendly and professional. My manicurist asked me how I'm feeling and if I liked how my nails were turning out throughout the service. The hand and arm massage was very good. I wish they did shoulders! I was also served with a choice between water or different types of soda. They are currently offering 20% off services, but soon they will be returning to their usual 10% discount for students.

Good experience for the most part! I felt a little rushed but they still did a good job!

    MMA used on the nails

My nails weren't exactly what I asked for. He offered to do ombré instead so I said that was fine. What I originally wanted was a very nude acrylic color plain and simple short and tapered square. They were very busy this time. I've been there about 4 times and never had my nails turn out the way they did. The shaping was off. Acrylic was laid crooked as shown here. The lengths of nails were off and uneven. I kept showing him when the shaping and length was off but I think that he got a little frustrated by me noticing things that when I noticed more things that were off, I didn't mention it. They did not use fresh files or sanding belts. The owner did my nails. I did tip, but for the pedicure. The people that do pedicures are different then those who do the manicures especially depending on what you're looking for. When I removed the acrylic, I noticed they used MMA ( the liquid they use before dipping into acrylic), which is ILLEGAL to use on nails due to the damage it can cause. It burned after the nails were set, was super hard to remove, and when used, it can turn the natural nail yellow, lead to permanent nail loss, numb the nail and skin around it and can lead to irritation and air blockage. I WILL NOT BE RETURNING.

I decided to give this place a try as they were close to my residence. I immediately knew as she was finishing that something was wrong as it was immensely more painful than any other time I've gotten it done. I left with the regular redness that comes with getting my eyebrows done, and upon further inspection noticed that this was not just burning. This was legitimate burns on both eyelids. I went back to the location and discussed that I would like a refund, as legitamate burns were on my face. To add, I also have a wedding in two days. The woman not only argued with me, but advised me that this was "my fault", knowing that I had "fair skin". I completely understand being fair skinned, but that does not equal the wax she was using to legitimately burn the skin off of my face. She refused to give me my money back as I then asked if there was someone else I could talk to. The owner then also repeated what she said, as he advised me that this was "normal redness", and that I once again, had "fair skin". After a brief argument ensued, I received my refun. She then proceeded to throw my receipt at me. I am warning others, of the unprofessionalism, and negligent care of this salon. 0/10 service, professionalism, and care about the customers.
