We were on time for our appointment, and were seated in a very few minutes. Our pedicures were done well, taking about 45 - 55 minutes all told, including polish, but not gel-coat. The technicians were friendly, courteous, and solicitous. Their English wasn't great, but a LOT better than my Vietnamese. All of the staff with whom we spoke were friendly and polite. Satyrday mid-afternoon, busy, though not slammed by any means. About 8 women and 4 men working, doing manis and/or pedis, plus at least one other lady who might have been doing waxing? A group of friends and I have started meeting here once a month for a pedicure. The service is outstanding. They always sit us together and we enjoy each other's company and relax with a pedicure. Staff is so nice. They check for comfort level along the way with everything! Water temperature, pressure of massage, and even color test the polish to make sure it's exactly what you want. Sweet staff, but one day I came in for a fill in and by the evening my polish started to chip on at least 4 fingers. Never had that happen before on gel nails. Call for an appointment first, they typically only have 2-3 workers at a time. read more

I used to get my nails done here regularly, years ago. At one point it became clear they no longer needed or wanted my business. Every time I walked in I was told there would be a 45 minute wait. They must be extremely understaffed b/c they would have only one or two clients at the time. I decided to give them another try, because I do think they do a good job. I had a 6pm appt for manicure & pedicure booked in advance. When I came in - they say there is not enough time for a pedicure. It is now almost 6:40 on a Friday night & Im sitting w nothing done & my feet in an empty bowl. I have repeatedly asked the owner if she will be able to at least do my gel nails which I scheduled in advance. The male who works here looked at me at said "you get no nails done" & laughed. Kim who did my nails at 6:50 was hostile. I asked if she was ok & she complained & said she was tired & fussed at me for making a 6pm appointment. I said she should not have scheduled it. She was very hostile & I said it was unproffessional. DO NOT waste your time. I will not be back. read more

I have always had a great experience at World Nail. And yes they do take walk ins however I STRONGLY urge anyone to call and make an appointment. They get quite busy and they have turned away walk ins to serve those who have called ahead of time. If you are expecting to walk in and there are 3 appointments on their books then expect to wait. It's the same as any service (restaurants, hair etc) appointments will be taken first. read more

A few things: this salon is overpriced, there are only 2-3 people working at a time and so when you come in, it's a gamble. If you call ahead and schedule an appointment, they are typically not very flexible - but if you walk-in, like they suggest, you might get someone who does your mani/pedi and rushes it. I think it is a good salon - the owners are not friendly, the prices are not equal to the service that you get. Not awful by any means, but not the best. read more

I was a walk in customer and was seated quickly but my technician did not do what I asked and certainly did not seem to understand me. I asked for rounded, even length nails but with white showing and an end of finger length. She cut every nail to the nub leaving no white. She snipped so quickly it was too late to save any length. Never again will I go to a salon where the technician cannot understand my desires. They also do not use a quick dry topcoat and 4 nails were smudged before I left the building. Rude literally showed the Man the design that I wanted and if it was too difficult for him he should have told me that before beginning to put the design on my nails also he should have made it very clear to me that he couldn't do it and if that was the case I wouldn't of asked for a design at all I would've just got colored and when he disrespectful he decided to speak in his own language to the owner about the fact that I didn't want to design even after I offered to still pay for the design even though I didn't get one at all she was like oh well you should've told him before and put the design and she still has to pay for it OK I never said I wasn't going to pay for it I just said I didn't like the design I said that the design didn't match but I was looking for it and I would prefer either a flower or no design at all so he took the design off and decided to rudely of you took the design off and decided to rudely smack my hands with the powder brush and just all types of rude it definitely was a horrible experience especially for someone who just moved here read more

Horrible. You would think this salon would be children friendly because they have 2 kid chairs, one being a Hello Kitty chair...do not be fooled. I made an appointment to take my 2 girls, ages 5 and 7, to have a mani/pedi together during their winter break. The staff was visibly annoyed. Rude to my 5 year old who was spooked by the cuticle clippers (who wouldn't be?) that were brought out to be used on her toes instead of clippers. Then made to feel left out and stupid when she wanted get her nails trimmed, but missed her chance since we got scared at 1st. Didn't give her any time to recover and get the pedi experience. Their salon was slow when we got there and then business picked up while we were there. They were again visibly annoyed that they had to tend to us, as in paint our nails. Isn't that what I was paying them to do? Way over priced to paint little girls nails ($25 for a 7 year old and $12 for my 5 year old-I used to live in San Diego I could get my toes painted for $5!) On top of that, the girls nail polish came off within a few hours of going home. They made them sit for about 45 minutes with no dryers or top coat to dry. I will never go back.
