Apparently the bar area with all the patron's took precedent. We waited down stairs for my husband to bring back ribeye subs. During this time 8 guests went up 20 min later they came back down, stating they were not served. I advised the hard working staff at the downstairs take out, they expressed their concern, and apologized. I hope the waitress and bartenders enjoyed their time with the "Birthday Girl" and her guests. I'm sure the tip left was minimal vs what our table would of left. 1 star review = no review.

wanted to have me arrested because I corrected him and told him it was absolutely ridiculous that he screamed. You have a gun in front of a large crowd of people like I understand people don't use their heads all the time but that guy was a complete moron. i'm not a small guy I'm not scared of people. I don't like to fight. I'm not scared to bleed, but this guy wanted nothing more than to get me into trouble because he was embarrassed for the way he acted. I ended up walking away leaving my two girlfriends at the bar and having them follow me two blocks up the street screaming hey fuck you faggot, come back here and do something you think you're tough I'll show you what tough is.... and so on. everything was completely avoidable. It was the end of the night I wasn't trying to act like a tough guy. I wasn't trying to prove any type of a point I even spoke to him with respect until I knew what he was doing. That's when my demeanor changed. I never flashed my firearm at anybody. It never came out once the first time he saw it the man should lose his job. They all should lose their job. their job is not to start fight and try to act like they're tough guys, there are some people out there that you can talk wrong to and they will leave just to Go get people or weapons and come back. you want people to leave in a better mood you don't work at roadhouse. these guys don't care if you're selling drugs they don't care if you have a pocket full of nips... they care a lot about vaping. like anything else besides hitting a vape. so sure if you're a big guy and you want to go get punched in the face and not be able to defend yourself this is a great place to go. if you want to score some bad shit, great place to go, but the bouncers just think that they're in charge and that's their little biker gang hang out.... douchbags. read more

Had the absolute WORST experience with my siblings and the bouncers/security at Oasis. One male "security" guard, instead of simply using his words or even giving my sister a chance to move, grabbed her and pushed her hard enough that she stumbled from going up the stairs and said aggressively she needed to start a line even though there was no line whatsoever. Which my brother then said something to him to take up for her because it was completely uncalled for and out of line for him to even lay hands on her. Then this guy goes straight for my brother, starting a fight with him, and all the bouncers started beating our brother up and hit him multiple times in the head with a metal flashlight. We felt unsafe and were shocked by this altercation that got blown way out of hand. I was trying to help my brother, and I was being hit and thrown around by these men and so was my sister. I was bleeding from my head and hip after they physically threw me into the street to the ground. My sister was also covered in bruises and our brother had two gashes bleeding from his head where he was hit with the flashlight, and he was bleeding from his mouth. UNBELIEVABLE that they are allowed to treat anyone, let alone a woman and young adults, like this. They should be FIRED and SHUT DOWN I was traumatized seeing 3+ grown men attack my brother and beat him in the head and pull him into the street in a chokehold outside of the building. WAS BEATING HIM WITH A METAL FLASHLIGHT NOT ENOUGH!???? Was three grown men ganging up on one guy and beating up his two sisters REALLY NECESSARY!??? All because of this one security guy, who our brother stood up to for his sister, these men were insane and I am outraged. read more

I've been to this place a handful of times and this place is a dirty low class establishment with terribly small disgusting bathrooms and atrocious service, unless you're friends with the staff or tipping regularly you're gonna have a bad time especially if you make eye contact with the security because they are the rudest most unprofessional douchebags that will ruin your night the best that they can't for no good reason other than they probably hate their lives and/or hate something about you personally. Also the "security" punks will charge people entry fees on a case to case basis like 10,20,30 per person even 40$ I've heard, you know, it just depends on how much money they want to extort out of the patrons because they can't make an honest living for themselves with the iq of an ice cube. just read some of the other reviews on this place of the "SECURITY" PUNKS sexually harassing women, discriminating against veterans+police officers and people that aren't white(not letting them enter), hating on foreigners and gays, barging into bathrooms and putting hands on people before they even know what's what, stealing people's id cards, identity theft, blatant lying to the police to try and screw over customers. If I could leave zero stars I would. This place is atrocious. The bouncer we interacted with should be arrested for assault. We were a group of 30 year old women, traveling for a girls weekend. My friend was chatting with one of the bouncers near the outdoor area who made it clear to her she could come in with her friends and avoid the long line. After doing so another bouncer accosted her screamed at her and dragged her out through the bar physically by her arms, VERY aggressively, leaving marks and hurting her. Because she entered with out being carded. Just to be clear my friend is petite, beautiful, and a nurse. Oasis is a disgusting mess of a place. Women beware. We were begging this bouncer to take his hands off of her and to calm down but wouldn't. Oasis - asses your staff. You have a very very scary aggressive man on your staff. The first time I went here I was too drunk to form an opinion but the second time, not so fun. They had let waaaay too many people in for it to be comfortable or safe. You literally cannot move on the dance floor and everyone looks like there in high school. I was getting a drink and turned around, a girl bumped into me and I tried to squeeze by, she then blatantly pushed me. I was irate. Half of my drink fell on the floor where I realized, many other peoples must have as well. Not interested in post high school childish hangouts. I went in December and February. absolute WORST bar in portland. piece of shit bouncer took my REAL driver's license, telling me he "didn't believe it was me", then GAVE IT AWAY to another man who left the venue with it, then nastily told me to take it up with the police if i had a problem. once the police arrived and i (very easily) proved that my ID was real and was, in fact, me, it took 20 minutes to get it back because, again, the bouncer GAVE IT AWAY. you realize that i can't leave the club if i don't have my driver's license, yes? don't waste your money on these disgusting (not to mention racist) power-tripping POS. read more

The only reason I don't give Oasis 5 stars is the fact that I can't enjoy the outside aspect of it all of the time. From their cornhole to the huge jenga, to the outdoor music, the summertime is the time to get to Oasis. They constantly book great music that you can hear from Wharf street that will definitely draw you into the place. The music is good, the drinks are good, and the atmosphere is great. This night club is the best one in S.Portland. I like this place, cause there staff is really friendly, all security guys kept us safe in this place, and bartenders were making cocktails really delicious. There are a number of accounts that demonstrate this place is run by homophobic and transphobic individuals. I have many friends who have been targeted and down right assaulted by the employees at this bar and when I tried to help, was also targeted. Please go somewhere else. I was physically assaulted by 3 people at the door, with the security standing there watching. When police were called, the security said they saw nothing and then fist-bumped the group that had assaulted multiple people. This is the single least safe place I've been to, would stay away. read more
