After placing our order, we were offered to dine in at the adjacent building that does have AC. We were taking our food to go, so it made no difference to us. They also offer drive through service. For those dining in, simply sit and the food comes to you. I liked that they had complementary shelled peanuts. I ordered a large loaded baked potato. Brisket was great. I also ordered a small mack n cheese to taste it. Didn't care for the mac n cheese. I will definitely be coming back to try more things from their large menu choices.

There is a Diner with AC and a 2nd building that is for more casual seating (screened in patio) or takeout. We ordered the Chopped Brisket Sandwich with a potato salad side. The meat was flavored and smoked to perfection. The bun was fresh, soft, and toasted. The ice tea was excellent. They had an extensive menu of other classic BBQ dishes and I overheard another customer praise the seafood. While enjoying our meal, we briefly chatted with the owner Brian who was very welcoming, along with his friendly staff. He explained that the majority of his restaurant business are customers that drive by since its location is in a remote area. The great news... he offers catering all the way from San Antonio to McAllen, Hidalgo, and in between! My husband & I plan on making this a destination for BBQ when we do our monthly road trips to SPI.

The atmosphere was nice, quiet, and very clean. The lunch menu was somewhat limited but still offered a good variety of options. We started with the shrimp cocktail. Six shrimp served on a bed of ice with a tangy cocktail sauce. It was fresh and flavorful. I ordered the poke bowl, which was absolutely delicious. My husband's lobster roll was warm, buttery, and generously portioned. Overall the food was tasty and the service was great. We'll definitely be back!

I had originally tried to come here for dinner the previous night and sort of glad I didn't bring my big group here as their prices are a little high with a big group and the wait was crazy long that night anyway. Entree prices range from 28-62 for most items, unless you order basic fried seafood or their pasta dish. I did grab some oysters while I was here. The bartender indicated they were farm-raised from Port Aransas and similar in size as east coast oysters, which I prefer over Gulf oysters. The oysters ended up being very good and clean, but they are definitely briny. The oysters are served with just cocktail and horseradish...nothing special. Their lemon is covered with a net to capture the seed, which is a common feature at nicer restaurants. They also open your Tabasco bottle for you. I enjoyed my cocktail, but it is something I have made at home, so it wasn't anything too special for me.

Amazing! The Ribs!!!!!…read more Lovely casual or fancy date night. I've been here a few times actually and each time the service is great. The restaurant is located in a strange space right where Airline and Cimarron intersect; it's a bit hard to find. The inside is painted bright sea blue with nautical decorations with about 20 tables. The menu contains mostly seafood but some chicken and steak selections. We ordered fried grouper/shrimp platter with okra and cole slaw and grilled shrimp with rice pilaf and mixed vegetables. We were given a bowl of fresh potato chips, warm from the fryer - they're good, but I would suggest salt and seasonings, maybe even a sauce for dipping as they are bland. Bland seemed to be the cuisine of the day. Our fish and shrimp were not seasoned very well, and needed more salt/pepper just to be palatable. The tartar sauce is very tasteless as is the cole slaw made with mainly red cabbage. The okra was fine, the hushpuppies were forgettable and would benefit greatly from a little jalapeno, onion, corn or pepper. Grilled shrimp was good except for the seasoning and the pilaf was okay, but who raves about rice pilaf? Steamed veggies (yawn) were yucky. Even a cheese sauce or butter sauce would have improved the flavor. The portions of grouper on the fish/shrimp platter were tiny - about the size of a half dollar and there were only three of them. At the price you would expect a little more. The shrimp on that platter were large but overcooked. Everything tasted fresh - - no complaints there. The service was attentive and friendly. The restaurant is clean inside and has a full bar. Total for two platters, two teas was $46.88 without tip. With just a few tweaks this restaurant would be five stars.
